Jack laughed a bit and smiled. He absolutely loved Remy's sense of humor. It was refreshing compared to the type of people he was used to. As he stood there and talked with the djinn, he felt himself becoming more and more anxious to get the lamp already. He wanted to do more than hug. He eventually threw all caution to the wind and began to kiss Remy passionately, pressing his body against the djinn's.

Just as Nic pulled the towel away from his face, looking in the prince's direction, he caught barely an inch of that flawless skin before it was shielded by its pink barrier. He nearly found himself cursing his bad timing. That is, until he realized exactly what it was he was going to curse.. Why, oh why would he want to see Aurora like that? Honestly, it seemed as if ever since he met the blonde prince, he began thinking that way. Surely it was because of his more feminine and dainty features. The knight's emotions were simply confused. He had spent so long in the mindset that Aurora was a girl, after all. Shaking his head, Nic scrubbed the towel over his face, perhaps hoping to wipe away those thoughts.
But the sound of a sudden blast of air caught his attention. Nic peeked through the towel at the prince pointing something at his head, and not a moment later, he had a head of dried hair. Blinking curiously, he approached Aurora and took hold of the blowdrier. "Yeah, sure.. Is this how yo-" he began, just as he switched it on, sending a blast of air into his face. It only took a couple of seconds for him to figure out what he was doing and that moment later, he was a dry as can be. "You sure do have a lot weird thing in this place, 'Rora," he said loud enough to be heard over the drier, still letting its warm air blow over his face before he pointed it briefly at the prince before turning it off. "If we were to get married, I don't think I'd ever get used to all this."

Algernon chuckled at the act of 'swooning damsel' played by the red-headed prince. "Come now, let's be serious for a moment. Dragons?" he asked, not sounding in the least bit serious himself. "I'd never fool with such trivial creatures. A complete waste of time and not exciting in the least. Now if you want to talk of my accomplishments over countless horrid daemons I've conquered, or perhaps the power-driven wizards I've defeated, then I'd have you melting in your shoes." All was said in a most sarcastic tone, though he did chuckle at his ironic mention of the "power-hungry wizard". While he wouldn't title himself as power-hungry, the label wouldn't be that farfetched.
"Oh, but don't let me bore you with old stories of my many epic journeys and battles," he continued, waving a hand carelessly in the air, brushing away the topic. "We can't have you falling for me too soon, now can we?" He offered the other a grin both impish and charming.

Remy gasped quietly at the suddeness of Jack's attack of kisses. Not that he was one to complain, of course. But just when he was about to revel in their closeness, just as his fingers began gripping onto the knight's sleeves, he felt that surge of energy build between them, and not just between their lips as it was last time. The invisible barrier even crackled slightly, as if the start of an angry lightning storm before suddenly pushing their two bodies apart harshly. While nearly slamming the knight back farther against the wall, Remy was sent hard to the floor. Panting slightly, he looked up at Jack, seeming sorely disappointed with these "rules".
"Dammit," he muttered, his mood seeming to be put out for the first time that day. "This stinks.. I think after so many centuries, I'd be old enough to follow my own rules."

Held the back of his head, which he had hit on the wall, and he felt a bit lightheaded. "Maybe this is where they got the expression: love hurts." he said with a faint laugh. He walked a bit dizzily and sat down on the floor beside Remy, his armor making a bit of a clank on the floor. Sighing, he put his arm around the male next to him. "This is one long day..." he stated.

Despite his now possibly bruised backside, Remy still gave a light-hearted chuckle at Jack's comment. So the knight had his own humor to share too, huh? "Cute," he commented, kissing the man on the cheek before sliding down until he lay on his back, head in the man's lap. "Well, I'm not sure if this would work, buuut..." The djinn looked as if he were trying to cook up a plan. "Maybe we can be through with this sooner.. While it's a rule that I'm not allowed to assist in any form of theft of my lamp, I'm not sure if distracting him with an actual problem would count. After all, I still haven't located that wizard guy he was wanting me to find.. And I would feel bad if I had to leave the poor princey without doing something somewhat useful." Blowing back a piece of his dark hair from obscurring his vision, he seemed to take a moment of deep thought. "But what I'm getting at here is that I'd need to be in the same room as Aurora to finish the location process. And no doubt that other knight would tag along since I'm so terribly untrustworthy around the prince."

Jack grinned widely. "And while you're with them, I'll be getting the lamp. Simple..." he said, stroking Remy's head. Suddenly, a potential flaw in the plan came to him. "But wait...Didn't you say that the lamp was IN the prince's room?" he asked.

"Very true," Remy said in a tone suggesting the mention of such was nothing of an inconvenience. "But there's no way Aurora will stay in that room of his for too long, much less all day. Even in the short time I've come to know him, I don't think he'd much like to stare at that pretty pink princess decor his mother so loves for even a few hours at a time." Even if it did suit his undoubtedly feminine self. But if that were to ever be spoken aloud to the blonde royal, he would be certain to spend quite some more time stuck in his lamp. "Now, I don't think I'd be allowed to lure him out for fear of breaking a rule, but I think he will come out in his own time. Rather soon, even. That's when I'll catch him in another, more convenient room."

"I see..." Jack replied, still stroking Remy's head like he would a cat. To him, it seemed like Remy had everything under control. However, in his experience as a knight, he knew that there was always at least one uncontrollable factor. Something had to go wrong...he knew it.
"Well, I guess we should stay near the room, so we know when he comes out." Jack suggested. "After all, if he comes out and we miss our chance, we'd have to waste a perfectly good night."

Remy's nearly cerulean blue eyes stared up at the room's high ceiling, enjoying the feel of the knight's hand running through his hair. "You know," the djinn started, giving Jack a somewhat skeptical look. "I don't think you'd be able to last another whole day. No, you'd go crazy before tomorrow night came around.. If this doesn't go as planned now, you'll be going through with your first plan and climb through his window at night.... pantless. Isn't that what you said? Without clothes? I vaguely remember that minute detail for some strange reason."

Jack smiled widely and laughed a bit. "Of course you would remember something like that." he said with pure humor in his voice. "However, I DID mention that I have undergarments on, though, they are a bit skimpy." he added, blushing.

"Skimpy underwear?" he repeated, brows raising with a grin on his lips. "I'm definitely going to watch this if Plan B goes through. And then maybe afterward try to find a pair of those skimpy underoos for myself, huh?" Remy's eyes drifted, looking as if he were trying to picture something. That 'something' being Jack's scantily clad climb up the castle wall. "Now if it does come to that, be sure not to wake Aurora. While I'm not sure of the exact reaction he'd have to seeing a nearly naked man climbing through his window, I don't think he'd be as terribly pleased as I would be. So what I'm saying is, be careful."

Jack laughed and shook his head. "It's not exactly underwear." He began. "It's a jock-strap and a net shirt." he explained. He had to correct himself because to him, skimpy underwear meant a thong, or some kind of ladies underwear. "And I know not to wake him. He wouldn't be happy to see me near him in the first place, much less nearly naked, and even less if I'm trying to steal your lamp. I'd be lynched." he added.

Softly scoffing at the notion of seriousness, Ryland peered into an open room as the pair passed its doorway, his fingers reaching out to barely touch its frame before pulling away. The merman had deigned the seemingly human prince more interesting than his search for Aurora, and he wasn't quite sure he minded how long they were lost anymore. The need for water by nightfall moved somewhere in the back of his mind.
"Mmmhm," he toned back, as if mulling over the fake prince's story carefully. Clearly, the young man was not taking the dark-haired acclaimed 'prince' seriously from the skeptical expression he wore.
"Melting?" he finally asked, breaking into a smile. "Melting and falling? My, you think pretty highly of yourself for someone I likened to a sacrificial lamb for Poseidon a few moments ago."

"If we were to get married, I don't think I'd ever get used to all this." ((Sorry for taking so long! I think you posted this right when I was really sick... 8D;; ))
Aurora had already flipped the power off on the instant-drier, his hair and entire body now dry as could be. As the other received it, the prince, turned to wash his face at the sink. He might have been mad when the other sent a blast of hot air his way, except that it (fortunately for Nic's case) served only to dry the prince's face. The drier was switched off and Aurora turned hastilly back around, the faint blush on his cheeks made all the obvious by the reflection in the mirror that was on the wall before them. The blond took up a hair brush, raising it to his already shiningly perfect hair to "get it all in place" -- it didn't seem to need it, though.
"Mmmm, well, I don't think you'll need to worry about that, then, because despite what Mother thinks, I highly doubt that I will ever marry you," the prince said in an offhand manner as he took the instant-drier and put it away. "Anyway, it's not as if the palace is the only place with magical objects; it's just the place with the most frivolous magical objects. I mean, there are more... serious and neccessary ones, too, but there are a lot of ones just for convinience that no one in their right minds should have invinted except that the people who commisioned them were rich enough so... so... they were made. That sort of thing." Though it didn't seem as if the prince quite knew what he was trying to say, it was certainly a surprise that he was consious enough to realise this. True, he was quite overly spoiled and pampered, but he could at least recognize it in some areas.
