The rules for Vultures can be found here though, it is the official Imperial Armour 1 update FAQ. There are some awful copy-paste mistakes though, but people who are familiar with FW should know that by now. sweatdrop

It can be fielded with your opponents permission. Or by growling in a threatening manner while putting it on the table.

Lmao, it's like a baneblade, people know you have it and are really reluctant to let you use it in regular play...

So.. I don't know if this should go here, or in the Space Marine section.

I was curious however if there is any 'hero' of the Imperium who can match his or her strengths to that of Abaddon? I mean, fluff wise that is. An has Cadia gone back 100% to the Cadians or is Chaos still in part ownership of the planet?

Cadia is still being fought over.

Fluffwise, not really. Unless you're going for the batshit luck of Cain. He's the everchosen of Chaos, kind of like Archaon for Fantasy. Archaon, however, is a complete and total badass.

Should have gone in the CSM thread, actually. Crosspost if you want, but don't keep it going here.

Archaon isn't a total badass any more, he got thrown on his arse by an Orc warlord and that guy declared himself da best.

But yes, Imperial Guard here, Chaos elsewhere.

Storm of Chaos had one of the worst and ill-thought endings of all campaigns yet, though the Eye of Terror campaign also takes a big slice of the cake.

Well I kinda posted it here 'cause I was curious about what the Imperium had to offer, and also curious about how Cadia was.

So, is there no hero because GW wants to slowly kill off the Imperium?

So, is there no hero because GW wants to slowly kill off the Imperium?

Most likely it is a situation where GW wants the imperium to be faced with a chain of Big Bads to beat, including Abbadon and Gazhkull.

The Imperium has its great heroes: Marneus Calgar, Yarrick, Karamazov, Coteaz, Celestine, Creed, Grimnar and so on.

The problem is that with every revision the situation is even more grim, more hopeless, more doomed. talk2hand

Dark Heresy, while cruel and malicious, is very light-hearted compared to the current image of the Imperium as a whole.

I think that might also be the primary reason why there are no official rules for Ciaphas Cain.
