(although, while all these reasons are fun, I'm fairly certain I wouldn't want to live in a world where any of these offenses I've seen are punishable by a sentence in Azkaban)

@ Lana and DFC- The umbrella was a gift from Hope's father, but it's not the original Pink Umbrella that we all know and love. Hagrid bought it for her as a child because she admired his so much. Just imagine a young Hope following Hagrid around the pumpkin patch while he "helped them [the pumpkins] along" in getting to massive sizes (Hope actually looking as tiny as most girls her age because she was standing next to the even more massive Hagrid). Both carrying their pink umbrella's and Hope trying to copy the spells her father does, very occasionally making a pumpkin or two blow up. whee
