Yoder the dark triad of personality
You have my attention....
and that reminds me of something from long ago. It was something like "those who never seek power are the only ones that deserve to have it."

Dark TriadThey are Narcissism, Machiavellianism, and Psychopathy (I have a great many objections with regard to DSM's handling of sociopathy & psychopathy). What I find funny about it is that it's really more about severity of these than their mere presence, as those traits are generally extremes of the way the average person is.

Interesting . . .
Is your problem with the DSM-IV, or the DSM V?

To me, psycopathy and sociopathy are akin to autism and aspergers, where psychopathy is the severe end of a spectrum, but most of the spectrum is sociopathy or "normalcy".
I believe 5 equates the terminology, and 4 makes no statement, though it's been a while since I read about how the DSMs classify them.

I might need to take a while to decide how I wish to respond to that one. sweatdrop

That's fine, my friend. Still, to define sociopathy as normal is quite telling of a very dark view of society around you. Not that I am any better. From what you have said, you view society as a whole as diseased, but still allow for the more extreme versions of darkness among the most disparate members.

Oh, no, you misunderstand; I guess my allusion to the autism spectrum failed spectacularly. I was saying the scale from normal to full psychopathy is 40% normal, then 40% sociopathy, then 10% psychopathy. See the below illustration: 0000000000
I'll grant you that I can be disillusioned enough to see the world that way at time, but that's not typical of my frame of mind.

It was something else, I converted the Rahkshi into BESM, and stumbled on the character sheets I made up for them . . .

Ah, I see. Any relation to the Rakshasa (energy beings, but no idea whether Wizards or Paizo created them since I don't use them in my games)?

Alas no, they were the Rahkshi from Bionicle, the lego property. I liked them as a villain force, and converted them.
