Silver Griffin Kusanagi rolled in mid air, turning his hard belly scales towards the attacking Stratus he curled his head forward and bared his teeth, aiming to catch the smaller feather dragon in his claws. Brantalis sent him a small strength enhancing spell;
To Kusanagi's surprise it was not to his forearms. Nevertheless he would use it well. Sai saw Kusanagi roll through two sets of eyes as he became more adjusted to the effects of the gem he had tied to Stratus' foreleg. Stratus attack was going to lead him right into Kusanagi's waiting talons. Sai very quickly readied himself then drew in his power and cast it out with a whispered "Ventus, phasmatis ventus." He thrust out with the power of the wind and threw a stiff wind against Stratus' wings, not enough to throw him back but enough to halt his forward movement. The second spell was also of the wind but was aimed for Kusanagi. It threw a spiraling whirlwind at the large dragon from the rear with the intent of flipping the dragon back over rightside up so that Stratus could swoop down and continue his attack.

Fenrir watched as Lessir slid back from the attack, pieces of ice still floating in the air.
With that the wolf moved into the pillars, moving towards Lessir's position. Raidek himself, pulled out the back of jerky he had made and took a bite from one of the pieces. This will help me regain some energy...

Vix fell to the ground after biting Lessir and quickly burrowed back underground. He zoomed downward to check out the water ways. Vix felt the soil around him moiesten more and more until he came to a large body of ground water. Vix thought to Kin.
Kin turned to Vilya, "Vix can't tunnel out that much water in time." He said quickly to her. Kin thought to him and Vix went on his way to the surface. Kin said with smirk. Kin was not at all interested in this battle until now. He actually couldn't care less about what the Sage's plan was, it just interested him more.

((Here, here to Stoic's ruling. Mythology is the best ^^, I just found a more detailed version of "Thor's Journey", where Thor visits the hall of the giants with Loki. That's by far one of my favorites. Oh yeah, have you ever heard of the author Kevin Crossley-Holland? He's published some amazing versions of the old tales.)) Yes, and Azure, I need you to post before Tura can go further, they asked Kin in the last post to help them with Chi-linn on the eastern side of the arena. xd ...and now back to our regularly scheduled programing... ))
Kusanagi was too big to dodge Stratus' attack, relying on his sheer size to prevent injury. His wings caught the air like the sails of a ship and he was spun painfully back around. Almost instantly however his head swung to face the sky-dragon once more and a spout of white-hot flame erupted from his jaws.
Quellar tunneled ever faster, cleaving the earth like butter under his massive front claws. Mud began to well up from underneath him giving definite indication that he was close. The sage monitored his progress with a careful eye, casting a spell just before the dragon broke through the walls of the underground river;
A small shield was all that was needed around the earth dragon's head, to seal in enough air for him to get back to the surface. Water exploded into the tunnel, it's massive force won against gravity and threw the dragon back up his tunnel. He shot out of the opening and landed awkwardly to the side of the enormous spout witch now reared up out of the earth, covering everything in a sheet of muddy water.

Stratus saw the gout of flame immediately, as soon as the opposing dragon had opened their mouth he could see the light of it traveling up their throat. Sai also saw it, through his own eyes from far away, and also from Stratus eyes up close.
This is exactly what I was hoping to avoid...
Sai threw out his hand and called out "Statim tractus!", he sent his power into the words and directed the spell at Stratus with his thoughts.
Immediately Stratus vanished and reappeared on the other side of Kusanagi, away from the still oncoming burst of flame, and still swooping in talons extended, only from the opposite side.
Sai was glad to have his staff in his other hand when he cast the spell because the drain on his reserves of energy was nearly immediate. He leaned his weight onto the staff, relying upon it for support. If not for the polished shaft of wood he would most likely be on his knees.
Don't give in, Stratus, don't give up. Keep fighting, and I'll help you as long as I can...

((No action for Asako and Svalin, yet? gonk ))
The impact had thrown Lessir back, and she was not taking the continuous blows well. Growling heavily, Lessir flapped her wings, propelling herself backwards at the same time, thrusting the pieces of ices towards the wolf with all the force she can squeeze out at the moment. The shards were not too big in size, maybe less than half a foot and as thin as several pieces of paper put together, but they were sharp enough to embed itself into the thick pillars that were in its way. When the shield had shattered, Lessir thought that the shard had cut her as well, feeling a small sting around her calf area, but she ignored it, as the pain in battle was common. Flapping her wings once again, downwards now, Lessir flew upward towards over the pillars, trying to get away from the wolf, and to more suitable opponent at her state.

(( Kin already replied to Vilya. Vix can't do anything about the water since it's too much to burrow out in time. =_=))
Vix just about reached the surface when Kin casted his spell, "Vulgus." Kin said and Vix's body exploded from the earth in a massive size. The once small snake was now an even size with Kusanagi but without wings. Vix stretched his body upward to reach at Kusanagi from below, his mouth and fangs ready to take a great bite out of the dragon's body. Kin observing from the sidelines began to sweat from the stressful spell even though it was one of his specialties.

((Kevin Crossley-Holland...hmm, no I haven't heard of him, I'll have to check his stuff out though.))
Raidek saw the icy shards flying at Fenrir, instinctively, Fenrir wanted to dive for cover, but judge in a moment that there wasn't time, so he laid down, his head barely covering his massive paws. By doing this he hoped that the cracked rock helm would hold out long enough for this brief barrage to be over.
Fenrir had tried to make his body as small as possible behind the head, grunting as the first chunk pelted against the top of the helm, shattering and with it taking a chunk of the helm. This happened a few more times, and with the helm barely attached anymore he could see another chunk coming at him.
Fenrir tried to turn his head so the remaining helm take beating, but the helm itself barely caught the chunk. However it did send the sharp shard of course enough to only take of part of the wolf's ear, a squirt of blood taking flight as the ice shard continued through the wolfs fur, slicing first into Fenrir's other ear and then embedding itself into the column behind him with a thud that shattered the piece.
Fenrir stood as Lessir took to the sky, a deep growl pouring from the wolf's soul. The all-but-destroyed rock helmet clung to the left side of the wolf's head, blood dripping down it. Fenrir watched as the dragon made it's way out of reach.
Fenrir seemed to growl back, and moved at a steady jog through the pillars, keeping an eye on each one as much as possible.

((Sorry for the massive delay in posting with Svalin, I guess I kinda forgot about him in the midst of our earlier complications. I'm sorry for my delays in posting in general as well. I had a lot of family things going on and then I got sick yesterday and spent the whole day sleeping, most of today too.)) BloodHuntaSiA
At Minatsuki's words, Asako raise her speed, almost twice the speed she escapes from Lessir, and darted for Svalin to tackle it out of the air. It was a obvious attack, and she knew it wouldn't hit, but she would glaze him by a less than an inch were he to move out of the way, or take the hit if he did not. The trail that Asako left in the air flashed of red, orange, yellow, and white, a streak of fire left in mid-air to burn.
This creature, this phoenix, and her partner. I think they are underestimating me. I may be young by dragon standards, but I am still older than any of these creatures human companions.
Svalin faced his oncoming fiery adversary. She definitely had the advantage in momentum, which meant that if they collided most of the force would transfer to him. However, his enemy was a bird and birds were built lightly, whereas he was a dragon and, while built light enough to fly, was still far heavier than she. He turned to the bird and took the collision one one scaled shoulder. It was a jarring impact, though not nearly enough to throw him back. As the two cam together he lashed at the fire bird with his front talons and with his fangs.

((I'm still here! Sort of...))
The head on impact was unexpected of Asako, as she thought he would move out of the way. Adapting fast, Asako managed to swing around slightly to avoid Svalin's fangs, but his talons clawed around her legs.
Instead of trying to writhe away from the claws of the dragon, Asako instead fluttered her wings so that her claws also dug into the dragon's skin.
Instantly, the pull of the gravity around two creatures increased twenty eight times, enough force to smash them to the pillars on the ground within several seconds. The quick descending pushed Asako's wings upward, and she allowed the wind to do as it pleases, making herself as thin as possible to reduce air resistance.

((Sorry for the wait guys, family and stuff.)) Kusanagi was taken completely off guard as Stratus disappeared before his eyes, it took him a few moments to discern what had actually happened, in that time the sky dragon's attack hit, connecting with his scaled shoulder. He rolled with the force, bringing one clawed forefoot up and straight for Starus' neck.
The sage's warning came none too soon, as the great dragon saw out of the corner of his eye the giant of a serpent hurtling towards them. He folded his wings, narrowing the target space and rolled, trying to force Stratus in the way of those dangerous fangs. Tura raced skyward, using the updrafts to climb at alarming speeds. Chi-linn it seemed did not have this luxury. They dodged another spout of flame and circled round. Chi-linn gave a snort and suddenly turned back!
Chi-linn had pulled up just before the water, swooping over it as he waited for the sage's spell. This was it.
Brantalis felt his strength diminish as the spell was put to work, but Chi-linn had done this many a time and his method was flawless. All at once he turned to the clouds and both Tura and Vilya looked on as the water began to follow.
It was true, water rose from the ground and leapt out of the underground rivers, growing behind the maned dragon until it was almost as tall as the arena itself, and still it grew. Tura growled softly, knowing that a good portion of their own team indeed was not.
Quellar recovered quickly, shaking water off his coal black scales, he felt the wave before he saw it, knowing it was time to take his place at the top of one of the rock pillars.

Fenrir looked and saw the wave to come.
With that the large wolf pawed its way as fast as could up the nearest pillar and found itself a mere pillar or two away from the dragon that was Quellar.
Raidek had a bad feeling with Fenrir being so close to the dragon, and unwilling to use spells much at the moment. He wanted to get Fenrir as far away from the dragon as he could. With that the wolf good leap, landing perfectly on a nearby pillar, jumping again and again, putting space between itself and the dragon.

Essir had been awaiting for Chi-linn to finish, and when he did, Lessir happily dived back downwards, into the outflowing water. As if she was the water itself, she swam towards the middle of the arena, satisfied that the water was flowing outward, slowly filling up. In the deepest depth of the water, Lessir slammed down onto the ground, feeling sharp pain on her leg when she did. Ignoring the pain, she spread her wings out and gazed upward, ready to wreck havoc.
Up on the surface of the water, several spots on the water began to swirl around faster and faster. In no time, the water rose like a cyclone, roaming the surface in unpredictable manner, crashing into pillars and scraping off rocks. Anything caught in it would not last too long against the badgering wind and debris.
---------------------------------------
Panicking at the unexpected wave of water, Asako tried to writhe away from the dragon.
Immediately, Minatsuki slouched to the floor for having to abort a spell in the middle and casting a timed spell instantly; on top of that, she had not fully recovered, yet.
The flames from Asako's wings burst out in explosion, pushing her out away from Svalin to escape the water wave and cyclone.
