99 was quite apparently late, which hardly surprised him. Rake had wings, whereas he was still a ground-pounder, so it was only inevitable that she get there first. He sighed as he spotted one of the many clones, though he didn't quite realize that it wasn't the original person yet. He was just pleased that he was in the right place to begin with. He had been jogging in this general direction for some time now, and he would have been decidedly angry if he had found himself going the wrong way.
Great. So...if she's here...
He let his hand grasp the hilt of his weapon firmly, and kept a fair distance behind the clone he was following...until it vanished. He raised a brow and sighed. That meant he was now completely and utterly without a clue again, and he was getting the sense of one tied like a marionette. It wasn't a feeling he liked. He'ld have to gather a bit of information when he had a few hours free time.

*Rake had indeed found the second tree it had been seeking and now stood before it, one hand touching the withered bark, the otehr hand at its temple as it whipsered soft incantations over the suspended vial between it and the tree. All around it red lights flickered and danced, weaving through the tree, vial and Deity as if they were insubstantial*

He blinked. That voice never failed to come from nowhere, and that too irked him. He didn't like being this out of the loop.
Gawd...this sucks...
He whispered softly as he approached. He watched carefully as it went about it's work, and raised a brow. He was keeping a good ten foot distance from Rake, and keeping a watchful eye on the trees around them, but he still found the lights a point of interest.
Interesting light show. A pity I couldn't be here when it started. Damn feet aren't fast as wings...
He held a grin upon his face as he leaned back against a nearby tree to keep his watch.

Sorry - not the god of genetic modification, despite my lovely looks. Can put you in touch with someone who is though...
*It answered him after it finished its chant. Another drop of Dante's blood left the vial, this time through the glass itself, the red lights distilling and playing with it, drawing it into the tree in stages*
Two for flora and fauna and all of creation.
*It looked at 99 and grinned*
Hope those feet arent tired of walking. Now we need to find...
*It paused as the light in the forest suddenly turned green*
... a tree surrounded by green light. Maybe you can tell me what you know of ninjas as we walk.

Ninjas...?
He sighed as he began to trudge along behind her.
Ninjas. Hah. It depends on the level of prowess they have. They tend to be masters of thrown weapons, of illusion, and of stealth. In a straight up fistfight they have little true ability in general, but they make up for it with the most underhanded tricks you can come up with.
He shrugged. That was really about all he knew. He never had spent the time to research them, given the uncommon nature of a ninja with any real skill. Most he had run into were ninja in name alone.
So what drives this interest in ninja, eh?

I have the pleasure of knowing two Hyuuga clan members, both good friends. When one knows ONE ninja, one tends to recognise certain... traits.. in others. Kenki too, though I dont get on with him. I tend to dispprove of people killing my friends.
That aside, and to coin a phrase, I am surrounded by ninjas. But as a swordswoman first and foremost... I freely admit to knowing next to NOTHING of a ninja's limits, or the way they use ki. Or chi. Or whatever the hell ninjas call it.
*It paused and looked at 99*
Just how much energy can a ninja handle that isnt their own blood? How many clans are aligned to the earth and air ki's I know as Lines? What are their characteristics? This is something I should no more about. I may have to make an excursion.
*It resumed its movements and spotted the tree it needed ahead*

Feh. I know about as much as you do. I've never held any need to know, nor have I had the desire to learn their ways....all I can say is that the true ninja are intensively trained, and they learn to tap the near limitless potential that human beings are capable of. Hell...give one a long enough lifespan without draining the possible power of the person, and you could have someone that could kill me, you, and everyone else I know hands down. Kinda why I help Thane out so much. He has potential, he just hasn't figured out how to obtain it yet.
He shrugged and cast a glance to the side. He was still keeping a watchful eye for any possible assualt by these "mosquitos" he had heard of. He still hadn't seen anyone since he showed up on the island that showed any remote display of potential hostility...
Well then. Sounds like you're going ninja hunting then. Lemme know if I'm needed.

See now thats the weird thing. Until you turned up, I couldnt BREATHE hard without knocking over some aggravating little pipsqueak. NOW... they're conspicuous in their absence. On the PLUS side... that means I have some peace, on the downside... they're probably planning something. And as they have yet to restore the dragon lines to where they SHOULD be... I can only assume they intend to do something stupid. Especially as last I checked, my two little clingers-on were headed for the best defended part of the island.
*Flicking its tail quietly, it knelt before the final tree. Dipping its head quietly, it muttered to itself, then gently pulled the earth back from around the base of teh tree. Depositing the vial into the soft loam, it covered it over, made a rough circle around it and muttered one final word. Green happened. The vial beneath the soil shattered, releasing the last blood drop, this seal site now complete as green energy rocketed around Rake and teh tree, then seeped into the deity's eyes, nose and mouth. The entire forest glowed for a few moments, red blue and green lights flickering over each other until Rake opened purple eyes and the light faded back to a steady purple pulse coming from each of the skeletal trees*
Three for death and its barred doors.
*It opened its wings and grinned at 99*
I need to go do the same elsewhere now. Wander freely - i did say this was a working holiday. Take in the sights, do whatever you wish. When they make their move... I'll call. And 99? Thanks.

Stepping lightly through the forest, Sierra could hear all that was going on around her, hopefully getting a noise from one of Quint's many training sessions. She then picked up a couple of people talking, and being her usual nosy self, evesdropped. The conversation would have been better if she knew what they were talking about..
Deciding that being in the shadows wouldn't be the best first impression, Sierra made her way to the two, purposefully kicking up leaves as if she had no idea of their presence.

Like a deer on full alert, the people before Sierra quickly retreated from the area, leaving the smaller girl still without answers. She loved to walk, it always gave her time to observe the world around her, but now all she wanted was to find her brother. Brginning to think that her brother only came to the retreat for its name, she left the forest, desiring a better mode of transport.

Shadows in one corner of the room begin to bubble slightly; slowly it becomes dark and inky black, as though a pool of ink were slowly spreading on the ground in a rather large puddle. The bubbling becomes more fervent and a dark hand reaches up from it's depths. The darkness slips away to reveal golden bronze skin, slowly moving to a shoulder and then locks of shining silver spilling over swirling dark irises set in crimson almond-shaped hues. The rest of his handsome features follow soon after, soft lips and a strong jaw. Collarbone coming into view he flashes a smirk before the rest of his body emerges.
A lithe, but muscular stomach and chest, smooth flesh seemingly smoothed over hard muscle like silk over steel. His shoulders were broad, his waist slim. Leading to his slim waist dipping lower to reveal more perfect flesh over the shadowed girth of his leg muscles. Ridge over ridge tense as he rises to his feet. Smoothing back a few stray locks away from his face he tilts his head back and stretches his arms back and then crosses them to work the kinks out with a few audible pops here and there.
A rumbling growl echoes frm the back of his throat as swirls of the ichorous substance engulfs his body so that when it drips slowly down his lower backside and upper torso as he walks through the forest. Something... corrupting lingered just on the verge of his senses. He sneers at the thought and leaps up into the air, his wings appearing and forming themselves into a pair of small jet-packs that ignite at the height of his jump just above the canopy of the forest and bring him skyward overlooking the forest.
He sensed something amiss about the island since he'd last been here. With the Akumu forest being linked to a portion of the realm Pandemonium it's being altered was brought to his attention rather quickly. He'd also heard from his informants here that some etrange activity involving an individual by the name of Rake. He decided to seek out this individual to perhaps see what it was up to on this island.

He had left his bike on the outskirts of the forest. Given the relatively dense gathering of trees that made the forest, it wouldn't help much to let a vehicle get in his way.
So he went about his search the old fashioned way: on foot. His left hand rested perpetually on the hilt of his katana as he weaved through the trees silently. Even his coat did not stir up any noise, though he was by no means invisible. He was fast, but a well alerted eye could find him without too much effort. But stealth wasn't the intent. He was simply making a quick sweep through the woods, and even if he was spotted, his deep blue eyes would not miss a sighting if there truly was anything to see.
But as he spent more time searching, he found that he was finding nothing. This "elf" that Roan...no...it was Rake, wasn't it? He still didn't grasp that concept fully, but whoever...whatever it was, it had sent him to the one place where he seemed to be doing no good to it, to himself, or to anyone else. He slowed to a walk, and sighed.
Some contract. One would think I'ld at least be able to earn my pay through something...

*A flash of light flickered a little way ahead of 99, out iof it stumbled an elf. He staggered a little, then stood upright and glanced around before sinking back against a tree, holding his head and muttering to himself. At oresent, he seemed unaware of 99's presence, but the two little dragons on his shoulders were alert and looking about*
