Haha...^_^
With few exceptions comments and stuff is fine, that's fun. It's mostly the "what happens?" "how does it end?" "does hes/he die?" questions throughout the whole movie that get SO irksome. I was watching Wolverine with her a few weeks ago and realized what was weird - she wasn't doing any of that stuff, she was one of the 2 people (that other being me) in the room had actually already seen the movie - she therefore had no questions.
My other friend though, slightly out of character for her too (maybe felt she had to make up for Tricia, haha) went nuts though with the questions and commentary.

@JK: Oh, Naruto. XD The series I dislike so much, mostly because of the fans... I've managed to read a couple fics where someone pulled Kaiba crying off well, but it was very rare... and it was done more in the way that Priest Set cried when Kisara died, you know? Where it didn't seem unnatural somehow, even if you can't really explain it... And I generally don't care for kid fics in any series (don't dislike them; just don't actively seek them out), but I have read some pretty good Jounouchi/Kaiba ones where like Jounouchi would come make trouble at the orphanage the Kaiba brothers went to, and they'd end up just kind of hanging out and stuff. It was cute and well done, and kept in character.
@Karma: Yes, I know how you work with movies, but you're just so good at figuring out what's gonna happen, it drives me crazy! XD I enjoy sharing comments and ideas when watching a new movie together, but when it's something I already know and you don't... and you say, "It's this, isn't it?" I'm like, "Dammit! Must try to hide if she's right or not to keep element of surprise..."

@Kits - I luckily do not know any Naruto fans, but yes like Twlight they seem like they'd be awful, however like Twilight I don't let fans ruin stuff for me. Naruto is no masterpiece, but it's kinda relaxing to watch.
And yea, I mean I never say never - was just trying to think of an extreme example - without jumping on the cliche "everytime Kaiba smiles a puppy dies" bandwagon ^_~.
I don't like kid fics in most series (save for when they are already kids in the series, haha). But Supernatural kinda lends into it, they do flashback stuff sometimes even. I mean the entire present is based around their childhood, so it's kinda interesting to actually get to SEE that childhood that is referenced in almost every other episode.

Yes, I suppose it is better not to let fans ruin things for you, and in most cases I don't, but just sometimes... it gets to be too much, and I'm not strong-willed enough to keep liking something that gets ruined for me. XD;; Naruto being one of those cases. Twilight I just plain don't care for... I've heard of Supernatural before. Sounds really interesting though. :3 Reminds me a lot of It; half of the book is flashbacks of the childhood of the main characters, and how the events from the past are repeating themselves years later. Loooove that book. <3

So Kits, I was wondering, have you read IT? Do you like it? I mean you aren't being very clear so I wasn't sure. Hahahaha. J/k ^_~
I think the problem with the movie was that it splits it entirely in half, half kid portion, half adult portion. So as adults everything just seems ridiculously cheesy with limited connection.
Yea, if it wasn't for facebook I wouldn't actually be aware of psycho fans - and I'd already started to like these things before I realized that, so the fans wouldn't chase me away once I liked something. But yea I definitely understand fans scaring people off. Hell they make me want to avoid it, just to avoid them. Twilight I started reading it, thinking I'd like it for one reason and ended up liking it for another. So in the end, I was right, I liked 'em, just not for the reasons I expected.
Anyhow in terms of actual plot and characters, Supernatural is nothing like It, haha, sorry. It's just the preface to the show is the mother of the family being killed by something supernatural, dad goes nuts and raises his children to dedicate their lives to hunting the supernatural (with the specific end goal of finding the thing that offed mommy). But who they grew up to be was a byproduct of how they were raised - which wasn't exactly your typical childhood obviously. And throughout the series you find out even more of a tangled web of their families history, and how they just really kept getting ******** over and over again. Plus Sam, the younger brother and my favorite character, just bitches all the time about how jacked up their childhood was, so fic representation of that jacked up childhood (that you get bits and pieces of but really just want more) is always nice.
It's my favorite show by the way, not a recommendation to get into it or anything, just saying...^_^.

Yes, yes, I love, love, love It. XD The movie overall was just horribly cheesy to begin with. It was just way more terrifying in the book, and it was so much deeper and explained so much more... they also really changed the characters around in the movie, which made me sad. THEY MADE MY FAVORITE CHARACTER A VIRGIN WHO LIVED WITH HIS MOM!! crying I found plenty of rabid fans on Gaia, so just started not posting in the forums. For Naruto, I had gotten to a point where I had read some volumes, enjoyed it sell enough, and then suddenly was bombarded by it, and insulted by its fans for liking YUU*GI*OU. So I just was like, "Meh, whatever." and started disliking it. Yeah, I understand that It and Supernatural don't actually have similar plots, but the concept of constantly referencing back in time to help develop the present plot more (and vice versa, at least in It's case) is definitely similar in both of them. ^^ Supernatural does sound really good though. What channel do they play it on?

Aww, but I love that virgin who lived with his mom! Hahaha, mkay now I'm intrigued just to see how the book varies from the movie. I mean with the horror/sci-fi genre in general it's hard to really depict certain things and stay true to character. Nowadays even I mean, and consider the year in which It was made into a film? Hell, it could have been WAY worse.
I'm sure there's tons on Gaia, but up until this guild I was only semi active in any guild (because after awhile I do get bored posting at myself ^_~), and I don't really go through the forums that often. Not enough to meet rabid people. I think like I said to Karma on the Halloween threads, I'm still only figuring out the purpose of Gaia in my life, haha. The upside though is I've never really been turned off to anything based on fans - once I like something I don't let psychos scare me away from an opinion I already held. I lucky haven't run across psychos before I've given a series I'm interested in a shot.
It's a CW show (not sure what channel that would be for you, but that's the network). Ever since the WB split into CW the new shows have been getting more and more over dramatic, SN is caving to that a bit I must sadly admit but I still love it. However I'll probably leave the CW for good when this show ends, I've already given up on all the other shows that I had once loved (such as Smallville) or my shows have ended/were cancelled. Although, I did get into Reaper last season, but it maybe got cancelled, I'm not sure yet. And I do tend to watch America's Next Top Model, I love seeing all the clothes and poses and such.

Well, as lovable as the virgin was in the movie, he was waaaay more adorable in the book, and there were a lot of hints between him and another of my fave characters. <3 Though the movie hinted at them a lot too, it was too cheesy for me to find hot, especially with how one of the actors looked... *whine whine mumble* I think the movie was pretty much as bad as it could've been though, considering it was a made-for-TV movie... The forums are a scary place compared to guilds on Gaia... CW, got it.

Mkay, well I'll put the book somewhere on my list, I'm sure my parents have it they have pretty much every SK book (and every Anne Rice book as well). I like how absolutely no consideration was taken in the casting of adult to child actors - I mean geez, the only thing they kept even close to similar was races - barely, I mean even the coloring/complexions weren't right!
And if you mean I think it was as good as it could have been I might agree, but trust me, it could have been WAY worse, I have no doubt. Except for the ending. There is NO way that ending could have been worse.
True, which is why I tend to avoid the forums ^_~...except when spamming for gold/boredom razz

What makes it worse is the characters didn't even look like their descriptions in the book, for the most part. Only castings I was happy with were Eddy as a child and... huh. I guess that's really it. I suppose you're right, that there's always a possibility to be worse. XD;;

Yea...I mean rather than turning your favorite character into a mommy loving virgin they could have casted a fecal tossing monkey. That would have been worse. Also, they could have decided to have the monster be a microwave with a smiley (or angry) face painted on it rather than a killer clown. I mean there are ALWAYS ways to make things worse.
Except...I don't think The Box could have been any worse...omg, DO NOT SEE THAT MOVIE!!! I thought it would be kind of a serial killer/murder mystery thing, instead it was a Sci-Fi conspiracy theory that didn't even make sense and does not resolve at all. At least I only paid $4 to also see New Moon again and 2012, so maybe waste of life but not waste of money. 2012 was actually really good though, I was pleased, considering how over done the genre is I wasn't expecting it to be that good. It's one of the better representations of those "end of the world" flicks. Although, for once I wish they'd avoid the cliche of protagonist as divorced father who can't really relate to his kids and becomes a better man and realizes his values during the experience of almost dying over and over again. Other than that I liked it ^_^.

True, true. XD And Eddy was still mommy-loving in the books, but he at least didn't live with her as an adult! As long as we're talking about completely sucky movies, never see Black Christmas. 2012 wasn't that bad? That's just... surprising... XD;;
