Bael slowly shook his head, in answer. "Not at all. Everything is precise, clever... and brilliant, my King."
Bael bowed again, then backed out of the tent. When he straightened and walked away, he barked orders at lieutenants. Malakai's orders were repeated, with one additional clause: "All soldiers are expendable."

Malakai seated himself in his 'throne' actually, just a piece of his furniture that he had taken with him. it was from his dining hall, but in a camp, it was a throne.
"I shall watch our advance as soon as it begins..." He said to himself, striding out of his tent to a watch tower behind it. The Baelta camp was quickly constructed, but with a country of laborers, the camp had gone up in minutes, the towers went up the next hour. Now the camp was a fully functioning rally point for his troops, tents were designated as barracks, armories, and a few as hospitals. Even if they lost their land Baelta would take more. That was the way of things, and Malakai was rather good at it.

The Dark Knight led them to the elevator to the next level. this one was of metal, and had a chain to keep it up. It was also larger, with lightstones imbedded into it to create lights. Hashmal waited for the others to enter, her claw poised over the release lever.

((Oh, right. Dela is surrounded on both sides near to the Baeltian camp by rivers, which are used as super-effective moats. So, as long as there is the understanding that a bridge to be constructed needs to be done before the tunneling... then things work out well.))
Ephlas entered the elevator - but had to turn and whisper a spell to cause the lights above not to drift down and follow him. Whatever their purpose and function had been, it was irrelevant now. But they had indeed tried to follow the Magus into the elevator.
Illusion or true manipulation of the elements, it was just a little weird.
Ephlas looked expectantly at Raedou, waiting for the Ganzi to come.

(well, I was thinking under the river, but I guess the other method would work. The bridge is going to be a floating bridge, so lots of logs bound together with boards on them for the troops to walk on.)
Clem entered after the Magus, "Erm... what were the lights for."

Ephlas turned to face the biologist, Clem. "Well, you see... er, what's your name again? You see, the lights' original purpose was to eventually descend into old Hasmal here's armor, penetrate the tiny spaces, become trapped inside, then heat up to the temperature of a nova. That might be a little extreme," Ephlas added, "but I was actually quite flustered at the time."
This all having been said with a monotone voice, so it was impossible to tell truth from falsehoods. Ephlas was very, very skilled at hiding his true agenda from others.

Tanessa sighed. "No, Irwin, he doesn't. He's never done this in the whole three days that I've had the little bugger!" With a traumatized (but muffled) scream, the she-Magus sank down to her knees, clenching her hair with her hands, shaking her head 'no' vigorously.

Cedric walked up behind them. "I got us a room to sleep in for a night, T."
Tanessa stood up, wiped her tear-streamed face, then turned around and - salvaging her dignity - walked away with her nose high in the air. When she tripped on a black cat, her mood only soured more, evident in the way she walked away.

(( Uhh... I would really appreciate it if you guys went back to page 31 and deleted some of those posts... I couldn't tell the posts from the role playing, so I just gave up on reading... If no one else cares, I'll shut up. I did catch something about Hashmal leading us to the elevator, so I'll start there.))
Raedou limped onto the elevator and signaled for Hashmal to send them down.
"We are ready for the worst, Dark Knight." he said confidently, "Shall we go down now?"
Perrault, Farfarello and Krestere continued to walk into the darkness of the mines, until they came across a shining body of water. It was quite a sight to behold.
"This is amazing!" Perrault gasped, amazed at the clear, luminescent pool.
Inside the pool, he could see thousands of peculiar wisps, floating aimlessly about, underneath the surface.
He tapped Farfarello's shoulder.
"Far, do you know what those are?" he asked quietly.

We just have to get through the mines and we'll be at Eopia. Mey I suggest making a new character to occupy you while you wait?
