The fact that I already know the plot but have yet to see all of it in-game is part of what makes that so very alluring: I know watching it won't spoil anything for myself. Yeah, some of the later games lost the fun factor, which is why I haven't beaten them (except LoK:SR) even though I've played all but BO:LoK.
I completely understand with fighting games, b/c it can be so hard to get all of the story. Even if you can play at sufficient difficulty levels, you often have to figure out which combinations of choices lead to new story paths (or just play through w/ every combination of characters and hope that's enough).
Well, I watched ReBoot less than a year ago. Season 1 really aged poorly, but S2+ (the movies/S4 in particular) were bearable (I'm also somebody who is still okay w/ the first gen of 3d games xp ).

To be fair, I am not watching fighting games for anything other than gameplay. Story tends to be a distant second to mechanics in this genre. As a result, it is the only genre that requires more study and care than RPGs. Knowing the buttons, combos, characters, counters, and every aspect of the game is what one needs to excel. I just don't have that kind of patience for a game that is only about fighting. I need story that is far more involved. Still, for simple entertainment, watching them is good.
Watching Attack on Titan with my daughter right now . . . a sober show, to be sure.

Oh, I misunderstood given the story-leaning context. Yes, they can be very fun to watch, especially spectacle fighters, which, given the sub-genre name, are likely built to be very watchable by nature.
Yes, most definitely. A lot of intensity and gore for one so young.

Not as young as she used to be. After the past summer of Death Note, Attack on Titan is at least more fantastical than others. That said, she is only 13, so I'd rather she be morbid than boy crazy . . . I'm fearful of my younger daughter getting into
*shudder*
Boys.

True, I forgot you mentioned she saw Death Note already. Having already seen that, Attack on Titan shouldn't be intense for her.
Ah, worry not, that fun will start in 1 or 2 years, most likely, and you won't be able to do anything about it. *glad he doesn't have to worry about that problem yet*

Honestly, I do not look for her to have too much interest in boys. She hates humanity too much for right now. It's the younger one I have to be worried about.

A little cynicism toward humanity is a very good thing. Ah, but it will be a few years yet before you need to worry about her, so you can be at ease for now.

disillusionment and disenchanted in the world of education at this point. Left asking questions of "why do I bother? What were the last 8 years of my life spent doing?"
I find myself lacking answers of any worth.
sorry, feeling lower than normal tonight.

appreciated . . . especially after asking for days for help from the teacher saying "I don't know where to find this" and the teacher remains annoyingly/frustratingly vague.

That's really unprofessional of them, but, sadly, some teachers just do it for the paycheck...

Well, today he sent me the exact page numbers . . . and the names of the four major theories. None of which were called anything remotely like one another, so no overarching theme. Worse yet, when I went to the pages listed . . . there was no word on anything. I just sent him a message asking if I somehow got the wrong damned book.
It would explain a lot.

Saikii The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step...on someone else`s foot. 3nodding I like your Avatar. The swishing fox tail is interesting.

Even having the wrong edition of the right book can make page #s shift dramatically, as chapters are often shuffled from edition to edition (to say nothing of new or cut content).
@Kujiii: Wrong thread?
