He instantly brought his hand up and placed it her cheek. as he did this it pulled his sleeve back showing the bandages on his broken hands. he pulled on her cheek to make her face him. he moved a little closer and was about 6" from her face now. he spoke with a little more force now and said "tell me whats wrong"

Lilly was unable to move. Her breath came out ragged. "I...I..." Lilly's eyes teared up. "I lost her. I lost her and then Ryon left me." Tears slid down her face. She lowered her eyes.

He pulled her silently into a hug. he whispered in her ear "ssshhh. its ok. sh sh sh. its alright" as he gently rubbed her back.

Lilly cried on his shoulder. "Everything...Everything's gone." She whispered. "There's no point in going on..." She tightened her grip on his shirt and cried some more.

He wrapped his wings around both of them to block out the glare of the beating sun. he whispered a little more in her ear "hey. theres so many resons to keep going on...dont give up so soon" he kept rubbing her back and whispering calming things in her ear

Lilly shook her head. She sniffed and wiped her eyes. "There's nothing left here for me. God took away my little girl and then the love of my life up and left me. What's left for me here?" She pulled back and looked at him, tears stained her cheeks.

He let her move back a little but still kept her close. he took his fingers and whipped away her tears. he rubbed her shoulder and was at a loss of words. he leaned forward and kissed her on the cheek and whispered in her ear "...you can find another love...you can still have children...trust me you will find happiness"

Lilly shook her head. "I don't want other children. I want Emma back. My Emma. She didn't even have a chance." Her voice cracked a little. "Why, why did God take her away from me so soon? He didn't even give her a chance." She placed her head in her hands and started sobbing again.

Lilly shook her and took a deep breah. "No, no. I..I don't want to go against God." Lilly shook her head again. "No, you're right. I should move on." She took a deep breath and looked up. She pushed her hair back from her face and tried to smile at him, but it didn't work.

Lilly shook her head again, "no, no, obviously I'm not ready yet to have a happy life. God just didn't see it fit. So I guess this is his way of telling me to move on." She looked down at the ground unable to make eye contact.
