Duriono Belethiel Duriono Belethiel Duriono XD Well, I guess so. = 3= Uhh sauce and stuff. I'm a smidge tired. :V By the way, should I change anything about how she preforms or acts to accommodate her new weight or some sauce? :U Obviously not anything big, but any small stuff? Like tiny, tiny details? o 3o *rubs his eyes* = 3= I need a soda. Nah, she's fine the way she is. She's overweight, not obese. Oh, Duri, do you know what I love about Mary? She's one of those rare self made women that you don't see on TV too often. Have you ever noticed that whenever there is a female hero she owes her skills to her parents or guardians, while the male hero is all about building his own destiny or whatever? Mary isn't like that and I love it. x3 Yeah, I know that. I just wanted to know how much heavier she'd gotten, so I'd know if I should edit anything about her, be it the way I describe her, or the way she moves. XD Well, thanks. I really didn't think of that. I really didn't think of it so much like that. I just thought it was more interesting. I always just kind of saw her as, well, the tough chick who never really had anyone to guide or tell her what to do. She just always had to watch after others, and she still does in the Gunmetals, to a point. Chubby people can be flexible and graceful. I think I am, anyway. P: You don't have to change anything. That's just awesome. ^_^ She also has (or had? I'm not sure about Bishop anymore) two men who would like to be with her, but she chose neither. Way to break out of that stupid love triangle thing! Yeah, Mary is the Team Mom for sure. xD o 3o okehs~ but it'd be nice to have at least a sketch of her or somethang. XD Well, I also wasn't thinking about that. Hidden smart stuff, I guess? And Bishop's not really into or with Mary anymore, they were kind of a thing for a time and were supposed to be married, after the end of the previous RP, but Mary broke it off due to Bishop's general assholey nature. I gave you a sketch. :/ Ah, cool. Good for Mary. She doesn't need a man to keep her happy. I wish there were more characters like her. I think all of our girls are, actually. Aleta would be fine without Raph, even though he was a helpful comfort to her. I know that's kind of hard to see right now, though.... is it? >.> Eh, I have a good feeling that our web comic and graphic novel are pretty progressive. We've ditched traditional gender roles entirely and we have an inclusive cast. Shoot, we're the next generation of writers and artists, I think we're destined to shake things up. :3

Although, to me it always seemed like they were just a pair of magnets and were always together until recently. And sauce is sauce, stuff is stuff. Whatever happens happens is what I say.

I might do one in my spare time. P: Yeah, they were inseparable. But, if you compare Aleta's reaction to her fiance getting captured into slavery to some other idiot heroines whose boyfriends just broke up with them... yeah, her emotional strength looks like it's made of iron. As long as she's better than those weaklings, she's still awesome. And if he died, she would move on. What's done is done, and to her, there's no reason to sit around and mope if she has time to get revenge. Then, she would probably be celibate for the rest of her life. She wouldn't risk getting her heart broken again like that. I don't think she needs Raph to be happy, he's just one of the things that does. Still, it would be awesome if we helped change the entertainment industry's representation of people who aren't heterosexual, white, un-handicapped, and male.

Hey, it's hella easy to say that about your own character. = 3= now prove it by actually showing it. And I'm not saying it wouldn't be awesome, I'm just still afraid of spotlights.

Do you have any ideas on how I could show Aleta's independence? June and I can deal with publicity anyway. :3

It's tough to say, = 3= just throw her into some situations she's not usually in, have her do it with unfamiliar characters, and do it that way.

How so? :3 I've been studying the pitfalls of poorly written characters lately, that helps. It would be a little out of character if she hung out with some new people. She would have to be forced to do so. Not that I won't do it, it's just that she needs that kind of situation.

Fun fact: Many mercenaries in the Gunmetal Verse actually use two different fighting styles when unarmed. For example, Mary will go into a boxer-esque stance when aggressive, and a more light footed, kung-fu styled one when defensive. Both ways, she usually likes to go with counters and dodge her opponent first, and both stances allow her to quickly disengage with an advantage on her opponent.
Bishop will go into a more kick-boxer like stance when offensive, and will take to grappling when defensive, both require him to be right up close to the enemy, right in their face and limits their movement.
Duriono will just plain go brawler on you either way, unless he can read your move, in which he'll just reach into his pool and take out some sort of counter.
Brig always fought brawler, only more street than Duri. You'll know what I mean if you actually get into a fair fist fight with him.

Duriono XD Sorry, I'm really not the best person to ask about that type of thing. Well, I've been focusing on defining my characters as people and making them individuals with goals, hobbies, problems, and personality. I'm starting to think of different ways they could talk, too. I'm lampshading the crappy qualities I can't really get rid of. Like Terah doing nothing and not getting enough screen time to become an interesting character. =3= I need to do something with him, the most he does is say a few words, read books, and try to train Aleta. He's a stoic guy. He likes reading ancient texts in elvish runes, and nature. He possesses Earth elemental abilities. Blar. There he is. Nothing special right now, he's kind of flat and static. Those can be fine on their own, and it might work for a very minor character, but here it's no good.
