tifa_21 We have debate in school about the topic "Death Penalty" so I want some facts and prepositions about the case... Don't forget to answer the poll!! I am pro death penalty, but ill say this. there has to be hard core evidence saying that the trialled person is guilty. there cant be a mistake with it. other than that yes i support it ill tell you the reasons. 1. we are paying out tax money to feed these people. 2. A lot of criminals consider jail a place to joke around and pick fights. and if they are there for life, they dont care what they do. they will just be worst. might as well just end it. 3. if they are sentenced to life in prison and manage to escape its just putting our lives in danger. and 4. many people fear death. if the death penalty is prohibited and criminals lose fear of being executed they will just get worse.

I know a lot of people in this guild frown upon one liners, but I think this sums my opinion up: Two wrongs don't make a right.

It depends on the crime if someone killed 30 people and only got life that would be wrong. If the killed one life would make sense but it all depends on the crime.I say pro deending on the crime.

This is just my personal opinion, I'm not basing this on any personal beliefs or really even an educated choice. But I know that if I walked into the house of a loved one and just happened upon some crazy man burtally murdering said loved one I would kill that b*****d without hesitation. And if I couldn't kill him I would sell tickets to his demise and laugh hysterically as he died. But my husband claims I am the world's most spitefull woman (it's a personal flaw that I take much entertainment in). However, if I didn't actually see who dunnit, I would have to say that I would be a little hesitant to put someone to death as punishment. The evidence would have to be very strong and leaving no doubt in my mind that it was the person sentenced to death that was guilty. In which case I would also laugh hysterically as they died, and if I had my way thier deaths would be slow, painful, and in my basement. Saying as much, I don't think it's my right to deny someone's family the ability to find closure through justice. And the death penalty has been in use as long as there has been any simblance of civilization. Besides, I'm not much for forgivness, and I'm all for the eye for an eye idea. The only imporvment I'd make is they should suffer the same as thier victims did. If you murdered someone you should be murdered. If you raped someone you should have to suffer a humiliation equal to that of rape and then never see the light of day again. But again, this is just my personal opinion, I can't back any of this up with research or logic. It's just how I feel.

This is my honest to God opinion: Some crimes are bad enough that the dumbass that gets caught should be put to death. Like if a serial murderer is caught, he should be put to death. Eye for an eye, ya know? \ biggrin

Life and death are one in the same. Where does one begin and the other end?
