Nohiro October 27, 2004 1618 HSTI will NEVER understand this girl. NEVER. Yuumei's really getting me worried. By day, she's trying to kick my a**, and by night, she's cuddling up to me. I know our friendship is a love-hate relationship, but this is just too weird for me. Getting my hair cut later. Heh, Yuu's trying to talk me out of it. She thinks I look better with "long-ish" hair. "It's more floofy!" she says. At least it's better than what Stacey says. I don't care if she says she doesn't like me anymore, I don't believe that. Saying that I look "sexy" with long hair... It's one of the reasons why I'm getting my hair cut. This weekend's going to be hectic. Football team made it to the finals, so we have a game on Saturday, and still have practice on Sunday, seeing how we have a competition on Monday. As for friday, there's a Halloween Social... and a moon eclipse. I need to talk to Yuumei about it, but I'm thinking about spending more time with Rena--that is, if she's going. The moon will be blood red, and the skies are pretty clear at school--compared to where she lives. Perhaps that's what's holding her back from saying anything--we haven't spent enough time together. But if not, I guess it would give me a good chance to find out if anything's wrong. Unless they have a campfire... one, Yuu might try to light ME on fire, and two, I will most likely be hypnotized by the fire. It's just... nice to look at it. Nevertheless, I need to figure out what's wrong with her. Is it just because the sudden changes in her body are making her emotionally unstable? Or... something else? I hope to find out. But now, Yuu's dragging me to Rena's house, to practice. Damn her. She knows just how to get me to do anything she wants me to do.

Nohiro October 28, 2004 2214 HSTCame back from the Halloween Social. I'm really confused now. Really confused. There's something weird about tonight that just puzzles me. She seemed to be the same person I knew, but at one point, during the carving contest, she went outside. She said she wasn't feeling good. I went outside to check on her. It was just a nose bleed, but... I can't put my finger on it. Something was wrong. But... I don't know. Something was wrong. We had a campfire outside while we told ghost stories earlier that night, but she wanted to look at the fire again... so I lit it back up, and cradled her in my arms. She was so fragile, and quiet. That's when you know something's wrong with her. When she's quiet. That look in her eyes was there, that look of longing for home. The look of lost innocence. Now she's in bed, asleep. She won't tell me what's wrong. Dammit, I want to know what's wrong...

October 31, 2004 (6:44 PM) Dear Diary, I'm really tired. I'm wondering if it's bad that I'm marching when I'm pregnant... But I have to say, the funniest thing happened today! We had practice.. and man, it was getting pretty intense... And I started to feel a bit dizzy, so I went to sit down. We were practicing the Park and Blow section of our last song... and when everyone started it... I screamed. The baby... I swore, it moved! It was moving to the beat of the music! It was so cool! Quite a few people rushed up to see if it was for real. And it was. I wonder if the baby likes music... If he/she does, is this a sign? Mister got mad at me for distracting people, but it's all good. It gave me the confidence to get back on the field and play. He said he was proud of us, and that hopefully we'll do great tomorrow... Competition day! He has confidence in us, because he's scared that he might have to stop smoking, according to his promise. Hehe, this is gonna be fun. Now I'm gonna go trick-or-treating with Rena and her sister. Later!

Nohiro November 5, 2004 2022 HSTGoing to keep this short as possible. Yuu's REALLY worrying me.I hear her crying at night, and it looks like she's trying to be quiet... but not working out. At all. It was raining. Again. So we practiced outside. Agena won't let me do a duet with Rena... oh well. We were both looking forward to it. Speaking of Rena, I'll find a way for her to be on my side. Whenever Yuu and I quarrel, we look at her to solve it. And she's on her own side. But that shall change. The parents should be on the same side, shouldn't they? Afterwards, took Yuu to the clinic. Got in trouble with one of the parents there, named Jiora. If Yuu didn't just... phase out or something... I would try and kill her for what she did. Oh well, Rena said both Yuu and I can't touch each other today. TODAY. So instead of whacking each other, insulting works just fine, heh. Going to work on arranging some songs now. And check on Yuumei, and the little one. I wish she'd tell someone at least what's wrong.

November 20, 2004 Dear Diary, I've been very busy lately... Very tired. But now that Marching season is over, I can get used to Concert season. I think the baby would like that better. I'm thinking of perhaps seeing Dr. Kamiki soon, as soon as my busy schedule clears up. I have a lot of questions going on inside my head, and well... yeah. Not much to say... really... I guess I'm just worried about someone...

November 21, 2004
'He's lucky that I didn't feel like whining when he told me to finally get a check-up.' Yuumei thought to herself as she entered the clinic alone, for once. The teenage girl tried to hide the fact she was so tired--not to mention so young and carrying a baby--as much as she could, but it wasn't really helping. The days were getting shorter though, and the holidays were coming. So it couldn't be so bad.
She looked at the time--she was 5 minutes early. That was good. But this was it... she'd hopefully find out how the baby has been doing... and maybe get some answers. "Um, hello," she said softly as she walked up to the receptionist's desk. "I'm checking in for an appointment."
Rellen was flipping though a catalogue when the little girl came up. Glancing up, he stuck a post-it to mark his place and set the cata down, flipping his purple hair over his shoulder and hitting the paging button.
After getting her name and informing Kamiki of Yuumei's arrival, he motioned to the seats in the waiting room, and promptly when back to his finger-shopping.
A few minutes later, Kamiki came out of the office, shrugging on her labcoat. "Hello there, Yuumei! Ready for your first Ultrasound?"
"Hello Doctor!" Yuumei greeted after waiting a while. Despite her nervousness, she nodded, grinning. "Yes, I think I'm ready." She paused for a moment, her curiousness kicking in. "But um, if you don't mind me asking--how does an ultrasound work?"
Kamiki leads Yuu down the hallways towards one of the exam rooms.
"Well, first I'll rub some petroleium jelly on your stomach. Then I'll use a hand-held device and press it one your belly. It releases ultra-high frequency sound waves that will echo back an image of your insides. Specifically, your womb where the baby is."
She helps Yuu onto the table and smiles comfortingly at you. "Lie down and lift your shirt. Do you have any other questions?"
Yuu listened tentatively as Kamiki explained. It sounded pretty simple enough... and pretty harmless.
As she got onto the table, she thought about the other question she had in mind. Would it be best to ask it now? She silently debated in her head as she liftened up her loose t-shirt, exposing her belly that had grown quite big now. As she lay down, sighing, she came to a decision to ask. "Um, yes I do, Doctor..." Her voice was a bit soft, but auidable enough. "I know I'm quite small for my age...Not to mention quite young to have a baby... and I was wondering if that would affect my delivery." She began to twist her shirt a bit in her hands as she continued talking... or in this case, rambling. "Because, um... the last thing I want is the baby to have something wrong, or myself to get hurt or uh... um..." sweatdrop
She rubbed some of the jelly on her stomach (oh, cold), and listened as she turned on the monitor.
"Well, that depends on a lot of factors. Mainly, how big the baby is as it comes closer to term, and if its completely healthy or not. If we're worried, or you're worried, a C-section might be preformed.
And, I feel quite silly asking a pregnant girl this, but, are you a virgin?"
Yuumei squeaked a bit as the cold jelly was rubbed on. Darn habits.
"A... a C-section?" Yuu tried not to look as shocked as she was. But... C-section? She heard of them, but didn't really didn't want to know specifically how it works. Well, unless it was nessessary.
When Kamiki asked the virgin question however, she got incredibly confused--her head starting to think too hard. 'Virgin means you haven't... but then... uh... does it mean anything else? or... erm...' She scratched her head. For an honor student, when it came to Sex ED, she wasn't too keen on it. Most of her life (until high school) there were many things she never knew... and never really wanted to know. In fact, a few days ago she found out something about how a homonym that was like... eh, she won't go there. "Um, I guess I'm not now?" she managed to say, with a stupid look on her face.
Kamiki pressed the probe to her belly, making a black and white image appear on the screen.
"Well, virginity, in your case, has nothing to do with whether or not your pregnent. You didn't loose anything when you were fertilized. The reason I'm asking is because if your hymen is in tact, I'd like to remove it before you try to give birth. I have no idea what it would do if it was still still in tact when you were trying to dialte o_o It doesn't come up much, as you can probably imagine.
And if it comes to it, C-sections are relatively simple procedures. It just might be your best bet since you're so tiny."
She smiled reassuringly again, and pointed to the very-slightly-fetus shaped blob on the monitor. There's your Yuuling. This is the head, and here are its feet, can you see?
Do you want me to tell you the gender?"
o_o "Hymen?" she tilted her head a bit. "Um... should I know what that is?" She sweatdropped, being really clueless at the moment. "But as for the C-Section, I guess if it would be best, I'll go with it."
When Yuumei looked at the monitor, she gasped in awe. So this was how love at first sight was like. "Awww!" she couldn't wait for her little Yuuling to be born! Even though the baby wasn't ready yet, she would count the days till ten. "Yes Doctor, is it a girl or a boy?" Her face was lit up, her tiredness forgotten.
Kamiki sweatdropped. She doesn't know what a hymen is, and she's laying here pregnant? What have I done....
Uh, the hymen is a layer of tissue girl's possess that partially covers the v****a. Its usually torn either during childhood activity, like gymnastics, or during intercourse for the the first time. Thats why virgins tend to bleed on their first time...
*cough* We'll explore your options in a few months when the baby is a bit more developed. Don't worry, Yuu, I promise both you and your baby girl will be perfectly fine when this is all said and done."
Kamiki smiled broadly, letting her catch the "slip."
Yuu just stared blankly. Perhaps she should switch classes to Health and Guidance quickly? One thing was for sure though, she was worried about what might happen.
She stared back at the monitor for a moment however, and smiled. "So, it's a baby girl..."
Kamiki handed Yuumei a towel. "Yup. A little girl. Very little, but otherwise she looks perfect. See these?" Kamiki motioned to two tiny lines. "Looks like she's going to have wings like her mommy."
Yuu took the towel, smiling a bit. "Well, as long as she'll be health--aww! Really?" She looked closer. "Hehe, maybe Rei and me can teach her to fly when she's ready."
Kamiki printed out a copy of the ultrasound and handed it to her. "Congratulations. Call me if you have any questions...and I"ll see you in a few weeks?"
Yuu stood up after wipping off and held out her hand to shake with Kamiki. "Thank you for all your help, Doctor! I guess I will." She then gave the Doctor a quick hug and took the ultrasound picture happily.
She couldn't wait to tell the news to Rei! And... maybe Nohiro.

Nohiro November 21, 2004 2100 HSTSOMEONE SAVE ME. YUU'S BABY IS GOING TO BE A GIRL. I'm afraid of the damage she will do. But then again... If she was like how Yuu's been lately, I'd be more worried than scared. She's been so quiet... ever since I told her that this was the last time I would ask out Rena. If she says "I don't know," I'm taking it as a "no" this time. But just because I'm giving up on going out with her, doesn't mean I have to stop liking her. Right? The only times she really has smiled (other than when she got home, WAVING the ultrasound picture before putting it in a photo album... then WAVING that around!) has been quite... ok, not that rare. She was quite excited when we had our last competition (and we did quite well too--3 first place, 2 second place, and a rating of Excellent for our best performance of the season) and... she still causes trouble to me. But I noticed she hasn't been scratching me or hitting me (that much) lately. In fact, this if the first day she has actually gone without hurting me at all... This is just bugging me. Well, I think I shall go wake up Yuumei so she can finish up her homework, and practice.

November 22, 2004
The monday had passed quickly, until school was long past over and freshman band practice was done. The little girl that these stories usually talked about seemed to be in an upbeat mood today, and awefully happy. She was back to normal it seemed. But could it be true?
Time went on, and the laughs started to stop as people had to leave. By 3:00, only a few people remained, and Mr. Agena had told everyone to move over to his room as he began locking up. It was kind of ironic at the fact that some things had been said by people--for example, when Nohiro asked if he could play with the freshie band, Agena said he only wanted to play because Yuu was in it; and when Jenny asked him if he played footsies with the young teenager and Kidani had answered with "no, but they've played with everything else!"--Yuu found herself behind the corner of the next-door room with--who else--but Nohiro.
Some things were said; Some were good while others were bad. One in particular, was just too much. After fighting over a piece of information that Yuu had knew about that Nohiro had never told ANYONE, everything came to a halt when they could hear voices inside the "Kapolei Mob Boss"'s office.
"Hey, who's out there in the room?" Derek, the trombone player asked the others. "I think Gamz is out there." "With who?" "I think... Yuumei."
Uh-oh. Nohiro let go of the pregnant girl as he crawled over to be in sight of the office doorway, in which Derek was looking out right now.
"Hey Gamz! Who's out there with you?" Nohiro just grinned stupidly. "Um... no one?" "s**t! YOUR FAULT! YOU'RE FAULT, YOUR FAULT!" Yuumei then cried out, still out of sight of the others. The whole room burst out laughing afterwards. "Hey Nohiro, is she the next one on the list?" "What list?" "You know, the list. Stacey, Yoko, Rena--" "Huh?" "YOUR FAULT, YOU IDIOT!"
Suddenly, all the people in the office could hear was yelling and fighting... and someone getting beaten up.
"You want to check what's happening?" "I already know what's happening. Gamz is getting his a** kicked."
But just as someone said that, a shrill scream pierced the atmosphere.
"OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SHE KICKED!!! SHE KICKED, OH MY GOD!"
That's when everyone came out to see Nohiro's body sprawled on the floor--quite motionless--and hyper little Yuu dancing in celebration.
"They're such weirdos."

A message Dear Miss Yuumei, It is getting close to the end of your term. Please come to the clinic and schedule an appointment with Dr. Kamiki to determine if natural childbirth or c-section would be best for you and your child. ~Gaia Maternity & Fertility Clinic

Yuumei walked into the warm and inviting clinic after making it through the bitter cold. "Note to self... wear more warm clothes," she told herself as she made it over to the receptionist's desk.
Rellen smiled warmly at Yuu, looking rather silly (in the sexy way) in his bright green winter sweater and big ret santa hat. He calls back to Kamiki, who comes out just a few moments laters.
"Good evening, Yuu! You must have gotten my message! Please, come back to Room 3, and I'll take a look atcha!"
As the receptionist smiled, Yuu blushed a bit (after all, she's a teen! and who could blame anyone for thinking Rellen was quite... hot?)--but her smile widened when she saw the doctor. She seemed to have a bit of spring in her step as she followed. "Yes, I have! I'm quite excited! What are we going to do?"
"Well, all I'm really going to do is manually feel your tummy, and listen your baby's heartbeat. I'm just trying to determine the size of the baby to see if it would be better to do a C-section, or try natural childbirth."
Kamiki patted the exam table. "Hop on up and lift your shirt please." :3
"Oh, okies!" Yuumei giggled a bit. As soon as she got home and saw the letter, she dashed off... to Nohiro that is, and got money to get on a bus to get over here.
As much as she wanted to jump right on, Yuu wasn't used to the wait that much, so had to kind of climb onto the exam table like a toddler climbing a counter to get cookies on the counter. But as soon as she sat properly, she lifted up her shirt. "Ready~" she said excitedly and grinned.
"This might hurt- just a little- because I have to press pretty hard. But if it -really- gets painful, let me know. It shouldn't be that bad."
She flipped her stethescope on her ears and gave a good long listen. "She sounds good."
She then rubbed her hands together and began to palpatate her stomach - pressing firmly around, feeling for the babies size and position. It was a bit uncomfortable, but not painful. You can, however, feel the baby kick in iritation.
The pregnant teenager nodded and blinked a couple of times as Kamiki did just so. Like she said, it hurt a bit, but not that much. At least, the first part of it. It was tolerable. However, she did twitch from the icy feel of the stethescope. Yuumei and anything cold... they didn't really go that well.
Then, when the doctor started to to palpatate... that's when she understand why Kamiki said it might hurt a bit. It wasn't what Kamiki was doing, really. Little Yuuling was VERY irritated by it, kicking quite furiously. Yuumei began to look as if she ate something sour. "Okay, ow, ow ow..." >.o;
Kamiki pulled back. "Are you okay?"
Handing Yuumei a glass of water, Kamiki began to scribble on her clipboard.
"Well, its ultimately your decision. The baby feels pretty small, but she's still going to be big for you. My professional reccomendation would be to scedule a C-section. And, personally, I think you'd fair better as well. Its far less stressful for both you and the baby.
With the exception of the initial injection to numb you, its not painful. There will be a small scar left, but most of the time with care and sunscreen, it heals up very very faint."
"Um... yeah, Doctor," she mumbled. The baby gradually calmed down--thankfully, stopped kicking. Yuu thanked her for the glass, and took a sip from it as she listened to what Kamiki had to say.
For a moment, she was silent. C-Section was also the way Yuumei thought of going, but... an injection? And scars? Er... But as she looked down and rubbed her tummy, it was clear that she was going to do that. She looked up at Kamiki and said, "I think I'll go with the C-Section. I want to make sure she'll be all right when she's born." She didn't want to make another mistake.
Kamiki nodded. "I promise you wont regret it. Here is my official refferral..." she ripped off a peice of paper from a pad. "Take this to the hospital and they will scedule you an appointment. I want you to come in here the moment you can with your baby girl. ANd if there are ANY problems, you message me ASAP!" She gave teen an ecouraging one-armed hug and smiled to her. "You'll both be perfect, I promise!"
"Thank you so much for everything, Doctor!" Yuumei hugged Kamiki happily. She couldn't wait to see her baby girl!

Wednesday December 08, 2004 (9:53 pm) Dear Diary, Eep, bad move, bad move. >< Well, semi-bad move. Before band practice, I talked to Nohiro about the fact that I might get a C-Section. When he fainted, it caused a lot of rukus...... so yeah, now the band knows that I might have to get a C-Section. Well, they've been very nice to me about it. Encouraging me and everything. But they have this odd look in their eyes.... it's scaring me. What are they up to?!

Nohiro December 9, 2004 1300 HST
The things I do for her. I have to get her surprise ready. But thing is, I have to also get ready for my trip to the Big Island. I know I shouldn't leave when her little one might be coming soon, but... I have to go.
I still can't help but feel that there's something wrong with her. Whatever it is, I'm going to make sure that she knows that I'm there for her. I know that she has been through a lot, but... she hasn't told me more than that. Am I just imagining things? Eh. Well. Lesse.
Got to go. Need to whack Jamie for saying that I'm a ***** class="clear">

Thursday, December 09, 2004 (10:30 pm) Dear Diary, I. LOVE. THE. BAND. heart Sure, they scared the hell out of me, but I love them!!! They threw a baby shower for me tonight, with the help of Nohiro getting me there. I'm sorry for how cranky I was... Heh heh... Me... tired... lesse... what else happened? Oh yeah, they helped me think of different names for my baby girl. Then we checked which one she would like. It was fun. Hehe. The percussionists who were there would play a drumroll, and then everyone would say the name, and we would see how she would react. Yuuling seemed to have a lot of fun with that! This is my little list of the girls' names that we tried, and that she liked: -Minami -Meg -Hinote -Tomoe -Sora -_... tired.....And before she could finish, she drifted off to sleep.
