The government has no right to take away children just because of sexuality. What do they think they are? Do they really want to start another Civil War?

One of the psuedo scientific points being made is that children need both male and female rolemodels in the home in order to be balanced.
While I think that *most* of us can agree that ideal would be people raising their own biological children with the help of both genetic donors... this is not an ideal world. There are plenty of people out there that life has seen fit to make it impossible for them to have children that they really love - and by the same token, there are many more times that individuals who should not be having children running around creating them willy-nilly.
What I don't understand is why single parents aren't out there supporting gay foster parents. Don't they see that the line of reasoning that says all children deserve a nuclear family and we will forceably give them to one will be turned on them next?
I don't know if politicians have forgotten - the 1950s were not a golden era of American families, but a decade of repression and fear and complete disconnect from reality.

i dont care if your in a a same sex realtionship.
you HAVE the right to have a ******** child.
it's not ******** right.
this is why i hate government and bush and...H MY GOD!! i am SO pissed about this.
my teacher thinks the government is screwed up too, even though he doesnt say it. he told us a topic in the morning ((current eveents)) "a man has been dating his boyfriend for over 20 years. and he couldnt even visit his boyfriend in the hospital while his boyfriend was laying on his DEATHBED, because he was not family."
because he wasnt ******** family.
Imagine how that feels?
not to say goodbye to the one you love? for the LAST time?
he wasnt able to marry him because it was illegal.
Government is SCREWED the ******** up.
anyone know that thier ALSO revoking same sex marraige liscence's now?
over 1,000 possibly more have already been revoked.
and all those poor kids who had happy familes getting snatched away...
i wonder what the people said (and im sure this probably happend more than once)while they took them away and heard the kids scream no
"dont worry, you'll have better STRAIGHTER parents"

I really think the country is pushing for one... they're opressing us past many of our breaking points! We ******** NEED another civil war... or a government that has REAL family values... such as LOVE and ACCEPTANCE... not HATE and PREJUDICE! And these wingnuts think they're HELPING families... these freaks really need a yardstick shoved up thier asses and some sense beaten through thier thick skulls.

I was p/oed when I heard about it too... they will still love the children the same and will make excellent parents to them. it shouldnt matter if you are gay or not as long as the child is taken care of. the reason they adopt is because they want children and are unable to have them because of their sexuality...
why cant they just butt out... it is their business not anyone elses.

theyve started with taking kids from gay couples, but i wonder if theyll start taking kids of the same sex away from gay singles as well? i really hope not because id like to adopt some day and im bi...so i wouldnt be able to adopt either gender. crying then again, i dont live and dont plan on living in texas.....
