I got my shirt. LOL... This is the white one... and the black one is basically the opposite... black with white bands and the emblem on the front. Kinda cute, I guess.

However, with the way some people were getting tons of them and some people were getting none, there's going to be a slew of them in the Marketplace soon. I was lucky, I managed to get enough that I could have two of each color for each account. I do that with the donation items, too. That way, I have stuff to sell in the future in order for me to finish those quests I'm working on. I always have extra of the stuff I can get easily, but isn't available in stores. Then, when people can't get it anymore, I sell it. Hee hee.

I've made some pretty good gold that way.

Anyway, for anyone who's interested, Moira (the girl at the Durem Depot) won the race. Sasha from Gambino Outfitters came in second... and Ian from Barton Boutique came in third.

I managed to catch some of it while it was going. They sort of did a combination of the two things I thought possible. They used little animated gifs of them running along the map pages. That was kind of cute. Then, they had a running commentary from Gambino at the Gambino Mansion... in case you had trouble watching the images.

The race was really slow going, tho'... You had to refresh the page to see any progress of them moving along since they didn't do any kind of movement code like with the giftboxes and trunks. Each time you refreshed, the position of the animated gifs themselves was changed to reflect the characters' progress. Neat idea, though.

I didn't see the whole race, but it's a good thing I didn't. It took almost all day. I guess the wanted everyone to at least try to see part of it, which most likely is why it seemed so slow for people who managed to watch the whole thing. I wouldn't have been able to.

Yeah, the servers were going nuts with all the people online. It was cute... and I saved some of the little running people on my computer. sweatdrop

I would've thought that Ian would've been the one to try what Edmund did...lol. Considering what he says about Sasha...maybe he let her be in front of him, lol? wink Though I knew once I saw Vannessa that she was there to get rid of Edmund. gonk

Though of course with my luck, my two favorites, Gino and Edmund were the last two... gonk crying gonk
