Ao no Exorcist: Days of Destruction

Back to Guilds

People who play with the lives of others are Gods? Would the Gods really try and use us as Pawns? If so are the Demons the same as us?

Arriving at her destination it was still early in the morning and it seemed that she had beat Joushi here. Akemi took this time to make sure her shoes were tightly tied around her feet, as she didn't want any mishaps while running. She took a seat on a near by bend and sat up straight, again maintaining her posture. She closed her eyes slowly and allowed the sunlight to soak into her skin. The warmth of the sun gave her comfort and great ease of mind. Due to the fact of her being the daughter of Iblis, the sunlight was a great source of energy for her. It was hotter than it was the day before, and she worried that joushi may overheat in this sun. Then when she thought about it, she never did bring any water with her in case she got thirsty during their morning training. Angling her head she faced the sky, eyes still closed, and she allowed the sunlight to relax her body and mind. A great meditation for her before her team mate would arrive. She then opened her eyes after a good few minutes and looked back down to the people walking amongst them. It was strange to think about how some people go their whole lives not knowing the actuality of demons and the true jobs of exorcists. To most of the demons are only a folk legend or a short to scare young ones to do as their are told. Little do they know they are always surrounded by them, lower class demons that wont do thing any harm, floating past them like insects. after the longest run of her life akemi left and went to go get ready before heading off to class.

Equipment Name: Banishing Bullets x2
Description: These are known as Banishing Bullets, they are made from sacred steel blessed by four of the world’s most virtuous monks, which is the same method in order to create a demon sword but instead of placing the soul of a demon into the steel, the bullets are in a raw purified form laced in holy water and holy wine, which makes them highly dangerous towards low and mid-level demons. Etched into the side of the bullets is a crucifix which binds this hold power together. Demons shot with one of these bullets can lead directly to death because of the high amount of holy energy. They tend to completely destroy the targeted area so it turns to nothing but dust. A shot to the head is fatal for low level Demons while upper level demons might take more than a single shot to kill them with these bullets. If a mid-level or higher demon is shot with one of these bullets are able to resist the holy power for a period of time but the bullet must be removed as soon as possible if they want to survive and start healing. Locations shot with these bullets won’t heal until the bullet is properly removed. Half-Demons are also affected by these bullets but they tend to suffer milder side effects because of their human side but because they are still demons they will feel as if they are being burned alive from the inside out starting from the location the bullet entered the body and will eventually make its way to their hearts.
Quantity:
--------- [x10] BULLETS (per battle) x2 =20
Respawn Rate: Unlimited – Respawn after battles and your character goes to get more from a store or True Cross.

~ "Stop staring at me like that, you pervert." ~

__________________________________________________________

Lilitu sat in the shade of the underpass stroking a rat. The creature was friendly enough and didn't mind the stench she produced. She looked at the sun hitting the pavements. How could humans stand this kind of heat, even the Coal Tar had been sensible enough to take shade. Fire and heat were bad for any kin of Astaroth and today was awful. She sighed as she fed the rat a piece of stale macaroon. "I wonder what Rogue is doing now?" Lilitu wondered if he would get into trouble for not having his coat. Though he could probably use this heat as an excuse. Even in the shade she felt sweaty and to make matters worse she was beginning to get hungry. But Rogue told her not to get into trouble or bother humans, so what could she do. She had a very long and serious think about this and came to a conclusion. If she went to find Rogue he could help her get food and she wouldn't get into trouble. Besides she had come to this town to visit the academy so it made sense. Picking the rat off her lap and setting it down she headed off.

The old antique shop door started open as the smell of urine, blood, and sewer water filled the nostrils of the young tamer as he walked out of the door and closed it behind him. Ignazio plugged his nose with one hand and then squinted, his eyes slightly as he tried to hold his breath. ”That smell, it’s disgusting.” he groaned as he lowered his head and then started walking forwards slowly through the alleyway. The area was grungy, covered in trash, broken bottles, and a few rats. Ignazio’s footsteps could be heard just like before in the gymnasium’s locker room but instead of the light tapping on the leather against tile, all he could hear was the crunching of glass against the bottom of his feet and the concrete that connected to the bottom of his shoe after he applied slight force to crush the glass. Ignazio continued walking down the dark streets. The few lights of cars rushing by the end of the alley were his only actual light source, other than the moon. Ignazio made his way deeper into the labyrinth of graffiti painted brick and cement walls, pipelines that never seemed to stop snaking around the building or climbing towards the sky. Ignazio made note of the shattered glass windows as he made his way down the line before the darkness seemed to clinch around his body the deeper he went.

Reaching into his pocket Ignazio grabbed his cellphone and activated it for a light source as the image of map and compass appeared. Ignazio started to flow the line on the map that tracked his location from one of the Vatican satellites. The young tamer continued down his path until stopping at a dead end. The map vanished from his cellphone screen and a green light shined from the front of the phone. Ignazio looked at the police tape that sectioned off the area and took notice at the chalk outline on the ground as well as the faint blood splatter along the wall and the ground near the outline on the ground. Ignazio put his phone away from a second and reached into his jacket grabbing a small flashlight that appeared to be an ink pen. As he shined the light he crossed over the barrier of yellow tape to get a closer look at the scene. Ignazio’s eyes scanned the area as he felt his heart beat increasing. Breathing slowly and exhaling after holding his breath, the young male tried to lower his racing heart, but it was almost no good, this place was defiantly frightening, even to him. Ignazio bent down and looked at the faint blood on the ground and the method at which is splatted along the ground. Ignazio moved the light along the ground looking for any additional clues that he didn’t get from the police report from the news. Upon moving the light along the ground he found a rather deep indent in the ground. Ignazio looked at the outline on the ground turned his head a little to the left as he imagined a body in the position of the outline.

Pushing himself from his crouched position he continued to look over at the strange deep indentation. ”So this guy was stabbed by some sort of blade. By the appearance of it, I’d have to say it was a long blade or maybe even a spear of some sort. But I’m not a weapons expert. I guess I can ask Abiel or someone later.” Ignazio muttered to himself as he reached into his pocket and grabbed his cellphone and held it over the outline and placed his index finger over the center of the screen and pressed down. ”Scan, copy, reproduce, holographic projection, save as, victim Thomas Rider.” Ignazio commanded as a bright green light moved from the base of the phone and ran up and down the outlined around before the phone made a light chime, signaling it had completed its task. Ignazio returned the phone to his pocket as he continued to walk around looking at the destroyed windows and the pipes that seemed to have burst. Slowly extending his free hand towards one of the pipes Ignazio slowly moved his thumb across the sliced edge, but the cut didn’t completely sever the pipe which made the young boy slightly have to reach into the mouth of the pipe. The pipe was extremely dry, but it didn’t feel as if it was dirty or anything, it was strangely dry and didn’t harbor the feeling of rust or gum. Removing his hand Ignazio turned and shined his flashlight around the window edges and looked at the windows and the shattered glass. The method, in which they were shattered, was interesting to the young tamer.

Moving closer to one of the bottom windows he brushed the glass out of his way and pulled himself into the unknown building. Ignazio looked around with the flashlight before turning towards the only option in which he could go. ”Windows that is shattered from the inside, pipes that are cut with the same weapon that killed the victim; or at least it appears that way. Then we have the lack of moisture. There was no water in this section of the alley, not even in the pipe that was sliced.” Ignazio spoke to himself as he walked down the halls of the odd looking building, Ignazio couldn’t help himself as he got curious and tried to turn on the lights from the switch. Flicking it up and down only to find the lights didn’t work. ”Of course the electricity is out, someone was killed not too far from this location, or maybe even killed in this building. But that doesn’t explain the fact the body was found outside.” Ignazio continued speaking as he walked down the hall. Soon he came across a wall splattered in blood. Ignazio’s eyes widen as he looked at the blood and then looked closely at the blood and noticed it wasn’t splattered, it was a message. ”Do you want to change your class? Yes or No?” he heard out loud as he noticed a bloody handprint across the word ‘Yes’. Ignazio started to back away from the wall until he fell backward after tripping over something.

The flashlight rolled away from his hand as his grip was lost. The metal slapped the wall and faced him. Ignazio turned and saw a face underneath him that looked as if it was a zombie or something out of one of the many horror movies he had seen with his friends. Quickly moving off of the ground and over to the flashlight, Ignazio quickly grabbed the flashlight and shined it over at the body. His heart beat rapidly increasing as his back tapped against the wall. His golden eyes widen as he saw not just the single body but the rest of the hallway seemed to be covered in bodies just like the one he tripped over. ”This is horrible, what the hell happened to them?” Ignazio said as he took a step forward and looked around the area. There was no sign of blood or markings from weapons. The tamer started to walk through the hallway flooded with bodies until he reached the middle and bent down to one of the bodies, which was a woman. Ignazio looked at the eyes and shrunk pupils as well as the beef jerky like skin that all the other bodies had in common. ”It looks like all the water has been removed from their bodies.” he muttered as he thought back and remembered the pipeline from outside. ”That’s right, the water from the pipes, it was completely dried up. What the hell could have done this? Is this the power of those who play Pandemonium?” Ignazio asked himself as he turned back towards the way he entered the building and started to make his way back to the end of the hallway of bodies. Upon reaching the end Ignazio reached into his blazer and grabbed four sutras and placed two on each wall before swiping his left index and middle finger down and across the air making a cross with his hands, activating the sutras creating a barrier around the area. The barrier made the hallway appear to be a wall. Upon leaving the newly formed illusion, Ignazio started to run towards the window in which he entered through, the building was giving him a bad vibe and it was extremely creepy. Upon reaching the end of the hall near the window he entered through Ignazio heard the sounds of people yelling and metal clashing. ’A fight?’ he thought as he leaned against the wall and peaked around the side to find no one outside where he originally entered. Leaping out of the broken window, Ignazio looked around for the source of the sound. He started to run straight before turning off the flashlight and shoving it into his pocket and taking a powerful leap from the ground. Qi outlined his body as he floated into the air and landed on one of the higher pipelines and continued leaping and pulling himself up to the rooftop with his aerobatic skills.

Joushi Motisi
| Gentle • Loyal • Respectful |

⭐⭐

• Joushi Motisi had adjusted the thick, black strap that crossed over a narrow chest, cutting down over one shoulder. It was a stark line across the wine red vest and crisp white dress shirt, but it supported the now upright black case that hung vertical, in line with the slender Dragoon's spine. The rectangle black case was situated low, just below the dip in Jou's spine, barely swaying as the pink-haired teenager kept a calm and even pace down the sidewalk. It was somewhat busy, the street lights shining down on the business sector, the sky line illuminated with the artificial lighting of the towering buildings. It wasn't exactly as busy it may have been usually, many folks having quit their usual dawdling in the face of the constant attacks and mysterious murders being committeed around the city. But still business remained open and people who have stayed late at work needing to buy their groceries or office supplies. Some people just believeing they were above being murdered, that such a crime would never be committed against them so long as they remained in the main streets, that they kept their blind eyes open or remained with a friend. Most women in this country played that game anyway, some traditional custom of not being left alone to the mercy of strangers. A shame many crimes were committed by people against the ones they already know. Still, Joushi observed, green eyes sharp and peripheral open. Much of the crowd appeared to be walking in pairs, even small groups. It was mostly the ones walking as individuals that held some hint of discomfort, eyes darting every so often. However the majority remained as a mindless wave, feeling safe in the ambiguity and facelessness of the crowd. Perhaps one of the good things of Japan, the Beast Charmer mused, was its life during the darker parts of each passing day, shops stayed open late for the workers with large workloads and the many students with after school activities and clubs, even their own version of cram school. Thus Joushi's movements, even in school uniform, were of no interest to the mass public. To them the pink-haired teenager was much like anyone else, if a rebellious Harajuku fanatic that had stepped outside the bounds of the acceptable side of society.

The white scarf around the Beast Charmer's neck was still, silent. The Byakko had sensed nothing of danger to itself or its master, remaining passive in its obvious hiding spot. Joushi's destination was for one of the tallest buildings in the downtown area. If anywhere would grant Joushi a good lookout spot for something out of the usual, something that may be the first arena. It was a test, Joushi had reasoned, that would play on the strengths and limits of each Page that attempted it. The Dragoon highly doubted that the bells were simply strung up and about for any random passerby to find. And neither would the judging exorcists be happy for regular human beings being caught up in the middle of these three tests. So, Joushi reasoned, each area would be made off limits to the ignorent humans by some method or another. Be it by some form of barrier, or by hosting the event in an area people wouldn't be normally inclined to visit at this time of night anyway. Still, Joushi mused, feet taking a small swerve to avoid a particularly joyous group of young adults, it would be expected that any and all areas would be guarded from normal humans getting involved. Taking a turn, the pink haired teenager moved off the side walk to instead enter the desired building Jou had been heading toward. It was filled with various stores and some offices, but near the top was a floor designated as a lookout area, with wide open windows lining most of the walls it would provide the Dragoon the perfect spot to scan the city and find any unusual spot of activity that may provide itself to be a clue as to the closest whereabouts of a bell. There was no metal detectors or alarms, just the occaisonal security guard for the offices. The slender Dragoon headed straight for the elevators, pressing the buttom to call the lift and waiting with a small crowd for it to arrive, being mindful of the case, keeping it straight and close with a single hand holding the strap tight to the narrow chest. When the doors opened Joushi politely allowed a few people in first before stepping in, keeping quiet the entire ride until the machine had lifted Joushi to the desire floor. With a bow of the head, pink hair falling gently with the motion, Joushi stepped out and over to a nearby unoccupied bench. Setting down the long case, Joushi opened the main zip part way, its dark depths and narrow opening denying anyone to see what really lay inside. A nimble hand delved in, quickly finding what was desired and pulling it free with a click and a twist of a slender wrist. Hand withdrawing, a black, long, scope clasped gently by lithe fingers.

Zipping and holstering the bag back over a shoulder and narrow chest, Joushi turned and approached the near empty windows, only the sparse plant and couple dotting the edges. Holding the scope up to one green eyes, Jou peered down the lens, manicured nails giving a light reflective sheen under the flourescent lights while smooth pads clasped and rotated the various focus lens that dotted down the black, metal length. Gazing down the barrel, Joushi's vision was granted and extended range, roaming slowly down and over the length of the city laid out below, eyes breaking away from the telescopic lens to roam the city in search of black spots before bringing up the scope to inspect it further. There were several dark areas around the area, most of them small, unlit shrines or parks, but further inspection revealed the inhabitance of some people in their depths, making them highly unlikely spots to be the area Joushi needed to locate and gather the desired item to advance. With a small sigh, Joushi allowed the long scpe to drift down slightly, green eyes peering out over the artificially lit city. There were still three other directions of the compass to investigate, but the Dragoon was feeling like something in the plan was being missed. Slender, cleanly shapped eyebrows lowered slightly, the Dragoon once more scanning an area for another few areas to investigate. Anything brightly lit and open, or quite dim were also added to the list of areas to search for. Several were quickly located, scanned via the long scope before it was ruled out by human inhabitation or lack of apparent logic as to why such an area would be considered a viable testing ground for a Page's skills in exorcism. With a calm, analytical mind set, Joushi moved to another wall, once more beginning to scan the area before taking up the lens to get a more close-up view when something piqued the Dragoon's interests.

"Hm." Joushi hummed, green eyes narrowing in concentration as something finally took some promise. It was a construction site, lit up only with a few safety lights, mainly for the purpose of allowing security cameras to caprture any sight and image of trespassers, Joushi assumed. However, near the center was a light blue glow, illuminating the shadows at the heart of the pit. The skeleton of metal rose above and around it, like a ruined cage, the husk of some new skyscraper, perhaps, judging by the size of the man made crator and the extent of machinery located around the confines of the fenced-off area. The Dragoon brushed the soft pads of finger tips along the length of the scope, fiddling gently with the various focal points to zoom in as far as the high-powered lens' could go. The Construction sit wasn't far, and the source of the blue light was slowly, carefully brought into focus, along with what it was illuminating around it. Green eyes narrowed at the sight, muscles tensing slightly. The white scarf, drapped warmly around neck and shoulders, tensed as well, sensing the tension that shot through the Beast Charmer. "A Moryo..." Joushi whispered into the scarf, pale pink lips lightly brushing the top of the thick, white wool. Jou and Kit had witnessed Moryo's before. The Demons that served under Anyanka, King of Wind, were the few that Jou actually had some extensive knowledge on. A Moryo still and standing strong amongst the construction. Was this one of the testing locations as mentioned by Abiel Gottschalk? A mid-level Wind Demon, full of rage and regret, with a strong defense capable to withstanding regular attacks while the shield it bore in one hand helped defend what cracks may occur. And the sword it held... Joushi would have to utilise the skeletal structure and every trick and talent the Dragoon had at stealth and mobility to keep out of the Wind Demon's reach with that sword. Bannishing Bullets and a steady hand would be required. Lowering the scope, Joushi used both hands to adjust the strap and lower the long black case to rest horizontally in the small of the Dragoon's back, opening the case with one hand to place the scope carefully inside. Then, after zipping the bag back up and righting the case to sit vertically once more, the Beast Charmer turned and purposefully strode back to the elevator, pushing the button to call for the lift to carry both the Beast Charmer and the Byakko, disguised, back down to the ground floor. With a new purpose Jou left the building, eyes calm and focused, as the Dragoon made way to the construction site to the North...

Ignazio reached the rooftop with little ease as he made a cartwheel over the final pipeline and landed on the roof with a light tap of his feet. The young tamer took his time walking towards the edge of the building as the sound of people cheering and the names of techniques were being called out continued to reach his ears. Ignazio finally reached the edge of the building and crouched down before removing his cellphone from his pocket and set it up on the roof in a position he could videotape the events going on. The young male watched as the battle continued, it seemed to be a one on one battle between two males, one utilizing beast like creatures that almost looked like Hell Hounds, and the other was utilizing some pretty high level Fire based magic. Both demonic in their own rite; Ignazio’s eyes continued to move back and forth as he watched the battle continue. The young male stood up walked away from his cellphone as it recorded the battle. Ignazio’s eyes closed as he continued to walk down the line of small puddles and rats that scurried away from the tamer.

Ignazio came to a stop as he stood on the edge of the roof watching the battle from another angle; he began to count the people around fighting. It was interesting to see so many members of Pandemonium in one location, he didn’t think there were so many people, or at least people to come watch a man-slaying as they said on the news. The tamer reached both hands into his shorts’ pockets and with unchanging eyes he continued to watch. The battle on its own was getting to be really boring, it was filled with unnecessary banner that one would hear in a child’s cartoon or worse, in some cheesy American pornography. Ignazio couldn’t help but laugh as he stood watching. But as the tamer began to laugh the battle stopped and all eyes were on him. ”My, my, don’t stop on my behalf. I was only observing. Please continue, but the one who wins I’m going to need them to answer some questions for me.” Ignazio said as he glared down at the men and women, soon words of hate were being yelled at him and even worse, they were asking who he was. This alone brought another smirk to Ignazio’s face as his golden eyes started to radiate with Qi as he looked at the humans below and the hell hound like creatures. Ignazio could see the formation of the demons eating through their souls, it was a foul appearance, and he couldn’t help but strengthen his glare at the two whom were actually battle against each other. ’They’ve already taken root, I don’t think there is more I can do for them, other than to exorcize the demon immediately. Man, this is a pain, this was only supposed to be a recon mission.’ Ignazio thought to himself for a second, still ignoring their question for his name, until massive waves of fire came crashing down from above. The fire user from below called the attack ‘Raining Blaze’. As the fire appeared to have made a connection explosion swirled around the tamer but soon they were forced back with a burst of Qi.

Ignazio stood in the same location, with a field of energy around his body, his hands still remaining in his pockets. ”That was a little rude, don’t you think?” Iganzio called back before the field vanished and he leaped downward into the empty area of the alleyway. Ignazio’s eyes closed for a second on his decent as his Qi guided him downward allowing him to appear as if he was flying. The young Barthomeloi’s feet tapped against the ground and then he removed his right hand from his pocket and pulled out an earpiece of sorts from his pocket before placing it into his ear. Sliding his finger across the sensor bar the phone on the roof glowed showing the group a large holographic screen of the battle in which he was recording. As everyone was occupied watching the replay of the battle Ignazio began a phone conversation. ”Exwire, Ignazio Barthomeloi reporting in. Headmaster, I’ve found fifty members of Pandemonium in the Alley way of Jarvis and Fantom. Requesting back up and an emergency unit; for those whom are injured. The area will be sealed off with a barrier. Get here soon, I won’t hold back for long sir.” Ignazio said as he ended the phone call and removed the earpiece from his ear and slid it back into his pocket and with that the holographic recording vanished. ”Just a heads up for you guys, I’ve called the police and the Knights of True Cross…well I guess you wouldn’t know of them, but the little devils swirling in your stomachs know exactly who I’m talking about. If not, their creator does.” Ignazio said as he began to walk towards the battle ground.

The tamer’s statements had created an uproar between the groups to the point that he was getting glares back and they started to follow him with their eyes before moving in to surround the young tamer. ”I guess I should create that barrier first.” Ignazio muttered as he stopped walking and removed his right hand once again from his pocket and reached into his blazer jacket and pulled out a single sutra, but once they took a look at the piece of paper the entire group began laughing and calling Ignazio a low level monk. They young aristocrat’s head bowed down slightly as the single paper talisman moved into five. Ignazio pushed his arm into the air allowing the paper to float in the sky before becoming pure energy and circling around the Exwire, just before expelling themselves across the alleyway and attaching themselves to different parts of the walls to create the barrier perimeter. Within seconds the barrier had formed with a major burst of energy rising higher into the air until it formed a large rectangle.

Ignazio smirked as he lowered his right hand to his center and looked as people started to back away and attack the barrier but found it was no good. ”You called me a low class monk, right? How about I tell you idiots this one thing before I destroy all of you; my name is Ignazio Barthomeloi. I’m no monk, nor will I ever be one. I’m one who delivers the ultimate judgment on to those damned and sinned in this world. I’m death, I’m your executioner.” Ignazio shouted as Qi burst from the very pores of his body causing the hair on top of his head to rise and swirl in the artificially created wind formed by the mystical energy. Ignazio eyes never changed as he stood there and then began to walk forward. ”Now, the way I see it, you have two options here, one you can answer my questions and I’ll let you go easily, or two I can kick all your asses. Now what will it be?” the tamer snarled as he lowered his right hand to his side and removed his left from his pocket next and held his arms out open for them to come at him freely. Although the second Ignazio opened his center flames came from all sides once again. Ignazio’s eyes quickly scanned the area in which the flames were appearing from thin air and he calculated the spell being used. ’Basic demonic arte under Fire Apparitions. It’s a fireball spell. I see, so they can manipulate the method in which the spell is used to fit their own imagination.’ After swiftly analyzing the spell Ignazio allowed his Qi to project itself from its spiraling state and form another barrier around himself second before the impact of the flames. After the explosion the crowd began to cheer and call Ignazio a joke. The fire user scuffed at the ‘challenge’ and turned his back but as his back was turned Ignazio’s body remained unscathed as the flames were banished away from him.

The Exwire shook his head and sighed. ”I see, so you guys really aren’t going to do as I say. I guess that leads me with no other choice but to kill you” he said playfully, the fire user slowly started to turn around, in shock that Ignazio survived twice. But as soon as the look of surprise appeared on his face two hell hounds rushed passed him and towards Ignazio’s body. ”Bai!” Ignazio yelled as his hands were in the seal of Rin. A blue aura came from the center of the young exorcist in training and trailed outwards until it reached the layers of the barrier he created with the sutras. Iganzio shook his head as he looked at the hell hounds whom were frozen in midair. The others began the panic due to their inability to move. ”Now, how about we try this again.” Ignazio said as he removed two addition sutras from his jacket and tossed them at the hell hounds causing them to explode into a black gas. ”So you guys are going to tell me, what Pandemonium is, who’s this madman who created it, where I can find him, and how all of you gained your abilities. If you don’t tell me, I’ll be sure to show you what real pain is. Something that you can never escape from, something far greater than death.” Ignazio hissed lowly as he moved closer to the fire user and shook his head. ”You tried to kill me twice, and yet you still failed, I mean you guys really can’t be as high of a level you think you are if you got caught by my weakest spell.”

The young exorcist in training continued to walk as he was buying time for the headmaster to show up with some of the instructors. Ignazio wasn’t really in the mood for his binding to wear off anytime soon, but being as weak of a fatal verse it was, the timing was a little tricky and varied based on whom it was used on and used by. At this point it was really just the waiting game. Ignazio waited for the men and women to start talking about the game but they were refusing and steady calling out the names of their attacks and spells. Slowly shaking his head Ignazio could help but chuckle. ”The demons inside of you, I severed their Qi connection to your souls, you won’t be using any of your abilities for a while. I can constantly use this binding spell on you and this barrier is pretty sound and set, you’re not getting out of here unless you manage to get passed me,” Ignazio said proudly as he shoved his hands back into his pockets and yawned at the turn of events. He was hoping for a challenge or two, but this was pretty simple, they still had control over their bodies which is what made everything so easy, the demons hadn’t possessed them yet. But if they were possessed Ignazio knew he’d be in for a fight.

”Did you guys know there is a reward on your heads; and when I say your; I mean Pandemonium players. You do know this game is corrupting your souls and making you into catalyst for demons, right?” the tamer asked as he looked up at the full moon in awe.

Victor Rodrigo de Asturias
Fighter || Aria || Exorcist || Exwire

Victor was on the way to the main street that took people to the Academy when the usual hum of the night went interrupted. It was not something that could be heard over the roaring of his motorcycle but could be felt. It was like waves of energy that pushed against Victor, prodding at him. Qi was being expelled in great bursts that would put a simple training exercise out of the question. He was tired and a bit hungry but the possibility of someone being in distress was enough to turn him in their direction. The Qi signature led him down a few streets on the East side and down an abandoned garment factory's shipping docks. There were many voices and a large racket that could be heard nearby. The engine echoed off the walls of the buildings as the headlight scanned through the dark alley. The signature is more than familiar now that I can get a better look. There's no hiding that flashy sheen of gold. Victor thought as he stopped at the end of the alley. He could see a Qi barrier holding the entire access closed, set up by Ignazio. Victor quickly turned his bike around and picked up speed. Before he hit the other end of the alley, he turned and starting speeding back towards the barrier as if he was going to ram it. Suddenly, an orange barrier appeared in front of him slanted upwards like a ramp. Once Victor's bike hit the ramp, he opened the throttle at max and soared into the air. He cleared the barrier and landed on one of the building rooftops. Skidding to a stop he shut off the engine and dismounted. He could see the great room of a barrier that had been created. Not too powerful but enough to conceal and contain most attacks. Victor stepped to the edge to look down at what was happening. Crowds of young people, all capable of Qi concentration and some of them armed. There's something else, though. There's a demonic presence here. Victor thought as he looked into the people. It was alike animal possessions but human possession was voluntary under this level of appearance. There was no sign of body transformation or uncontrollable Qi but nonetheless a demonic mastery over the humans. Victor crossed his arms as he peered down and spotted Ignazio. He looked to be unscathed and in control, not unlike him but surely toying with them as well. Are these Pandemonium players? He questioned. Victor would watch and learn since his help was not yet needed and he didn't want to intrude on something without knowing what was going on first.

Standing there with his arms crossed, Ignazio peered over to his watch on his left wrist and then looked at the players of this twisted game known as Pandemonium. Ignazio sighed and started to tap his foot as he was growing impatient waiting on the head master to make an appearance. Soon the cool and collected Tamer clinched a single hand into a fist and bared his teeth before a vein appeared on the side of his head and grunted ”GAH! That b*****d!! Why can’t he just do a simple job, seriously, how hard is it to answer your phone and receive a message and do your job as an Exorcist. He’s always ranting about how powerful he is and how many demon’s he’s exorcised. But he hasn’t done a single thing since I’ve known him; lazy, phony priest.” he snarled as he began pacing back and forth. His golden eyes were like daggers, very much like his Qi that was illuminating the area. Soon his eyes darted above and to the left as he felt the presence of someone else outside the talisman created barrier. ”How long do you plan on watching me.” he called out to Victor before turning around to face the Fighter and placed his hands at his hips and stood tall and proud.

Taking in a deep breath, he slowly exhaled, calming himself and relaxing the muscles in his body one by one as he looked around at the men and women from Pandemonium, as he stood there for a second he began to walk towards one of the talismans placed on the alley wall. Placing his left hand on the edge of the piece of paper he looked up at Victor’s direction and removed the talisman, causing the barrier to vanish. Ignazio stood at the ready with the talisman, in order to seal the area back off, but only when Victor entered. He assumed his fellow Exwire either wanted to watch what was going on out of boredom, or he was assigned to the same mission as Ignazio as his back as requested. ”That lazy p***k couldn’t put down the alcohol to come deal with this and sends another Exwire. Oh yeah, let the Exwires take care of the problem on their own, because we clearly have authority in the Order. Give me a break.” he muttered out loud. Typically this mission would be assigned to those of an actual Exorcist rank, but with the number of True Cross at an all-time low, they had to resort to using Exwires at the very least to do tasks that was mediocre yet still challenging for their level; such as information gathering.

Being a member of the Barthomeloi family, True Cross expected more out of the young Tamer, although after his recent feat in successfully summoning an upper level demon as a familiar; Ignazio was making a name for himself through the order and seen as potentially dangerous. The tamer began to walk towards the center of the crowd of players and stood there waiting for Victor waving the talisman in the air. ”I really didn’t need backup for this, but you’re more than welcome to come down here. I’m just waiting on that lazy fake exorcist we call a headmaster.” Ignazio called up to him as he looked around and started to notice a few of the members were able to twitch their fingers. ’It looks like the Bai, isn’t going to last much longer, there are too many targets for me to use a standard binging on.’ he thought as he turned his attention back to the two guys he interrupted; he could see their grim expressions, the eyes of death plastered over both of their faces, was aimed directly at the young heir. ’Guess, I’ll have to handle those two first when it wears off, and for some reason I don’t think they are going to go down as easily as I want.’

The golden eyes scanned the area for potential escape routes and then remembered the building in which he had found the hallway of bodies from before and then looked up at Victor. ”Hey, I do need your help with something, that I can’t handle on my own. Help me deal with this and I’ll show you what I’m talking about” he called back up to Victor. As the tamer began to walk in the direction of Victor’s body the unthinkable happened; he felt his Qi being severed rapidly around each of the victims of the binding spell. ”What? Impossible, the Qi couldn’t have been severed so quickly.” Ignazio called out as he turned his head and looked at all the members that were around him. Soon he caught the surge of a darker and clouded form of Qi around the area. But as soon as he caught it the signature vanished. ’Someone freed them from the outside. All because I removed the barrier; and just as fast as they freed these guys, they vanished.’ Ignazio started to back away slowly but soon stopped and stood his ground as he found himself against a wall. A single name was being chanted by the players; that name was none other than the mastermind and creator behind Pandemonium; Versalius. ”Versalius.” Ignazio repeated as he smirked and tossed the talisman aside as it was pretty useless at this point. Reaching into his blazer on his left breast the young tamer reached and for one of his summoning cards and slowly removed it from his jacket. ”Alright, your move guys.” he said calmly with a smirk of confidence before fully removing the card from his jacket. The card was that of a man riding on a chariot; it was the judgment card, also one of Ignazio’s newest familiar tarot cards added to his arsenal of highly skilled demons; although, the one within this card wasn’t one to take lightly, and wouldn’t go down without a fight.

The young tamer was planning on calling forth a Wyrim, a demon that even he had yet to fully use in a combat situation. But with Victor being around, he didn’t want to reveal the frozen dragon to the Fighter, not with the Exorcist Qualification Exam coming up. Ignazio had another plan in mind for his familiar, it’s not like Victor memorized each Norito, the tamer used to call forth Innocentius or Garuda let alone their weapon forms. So it all came down to what type of abilities he wanted to reveal. Chanting fatal verses would take far too long, and using weaker ones might not have an effect based off whatever demon had taken possession over these unknowing humans.

Possessed Humans - Players of Pandemonium, each one specializing in a different ability and element. Some having the same, ability as each other, but mostly using different skills from one another. Each one using video game terms, and currently very angry about being forced into submission by Ignazio, whom identified himself as an Exorcist. Most of the members here believe he's in some sort of guild whom specializes in Holy Magic.

Agnès “Clementine” Edelfelt

Aria || Tamer || Upper 1st Class

The nightsky blurred together as the moon stood still within the darkness. Even the ground below was devoid of meaningful shapes, only the bright neon lights that adorned businesses stood out- as streaks of vibrant color. The willowy blonde haired woman observed the world below from the back of creature straight from fairytales and folk lore. She wrapped her arms around the creature’s neck and simply held on as it flew towards their destination. The creature’s heart beat slowly underneath her chest, giving subtle warmth to add to the heat of the night. In truth, wyvern’s were likely among one of the more uncomfortable dragon’s to ride- due to the constant beating of their wings and no true definition of front legs. That and perhaps how many, like her own An’givare, had adapted to having spiny vertebra as a means to protect their heart. Yet, this outing wasn’t one devised as a joy ride or a midnight outing to feed the massive beast. Instead, a mindless task relegated into her responsibility. From the brief report the woman received it was a reconnaissance mission gone wrong- a mission none other than the Arc Knight was supposed to oversee. It was a mission to find out more about the players of newest hit “game”- Pandemoneum? The information of the Vatican database on the subject was limited although researchers tied it to a few other cases of similar tact. Only difference is the other cases weren’t to the scale that plagues both True Cross and Tokyo; making it difficult to ascertain information about methods or if a similar force was behind it. Regardless, the report mentioned that the groups assigned under Tavion’s care were nothing more than Exwires. In theory the group would be fine handling low level demons. But, Agnès knew how quickly things could spin out of control and why she was to be present. But, damnit if it didn’t leave a sour taste in her mouth.

Wasn’t long before the iridescent wyvern and its rider reached the area that had been indicated by the call Ignazio had made. The beast circled once around the area before choosing a spot to land. Agnès could only chuckle softly to herself as she heard the remarks the boy made as well as those of the crowd before him. ‘Typical Barthmeloi, they say you’ve tamed a dangerous beast. I wonder if I’ll get to see if the rumors are true tonight.’ She thought with a smirk. The iridescent beast landed on a roof top belonging to a taller building that overlooked the one the Barthmeloi boy stood on. But he wasn’t alone. Agnès could sense many other Qi signatures in the area, one must of belonged to Victor, the boy Ignazio was shouting at. She could tell he was relatively close and it wouldn’t be long before combat broke out. Agnès leaped from the back of her companion, landing on the roof top silently. She began to walk towards to edge, knowing the Barthmeloi boy wasn’t going to be able to keep the angry mob of Pandemonium players at bay forever. ‘For now, I’ll wait and watch. There is no reason to dictate this fight for them.’ Agnès thought to herself as she crouched down near the edge of the building, her eyes intent to watch as the next moments were to unfold.

However, An’givare, wasn’t a creature to sit still on land. Instead, a creature who finds his solace among the stars of the nightsky- one who’d rarely come back down to earth if it weren’t for Agnès. The beast launched himself from the building gracefully. Despite his size, An’givare was able to do so with a simple flap of his massive wings. In only a few moments An’givare found himself well above the action, slowly gliding in circles as he watched those below. His was aware of the pressure between the two groups, some sort of human disagreement that had no value to him. But the consequences of such a disagreement was something he knew very well and one which he equated to fresh meat left to rot on the bodies of “undesirables”. The kind of people he could get away with devouring without much consequence. A situation which he would be eager to benefit from; human flesh was after all one of his favorite meals.

A breeze came into the area as Ignazio clinched on to the card and then closed his eyes for a second before returning it back into his blazer. ”I guess I should remember you’re only human. So I guess, my power should suffice for now.” Ignazio calmly said as he lowered his hands and soon the mob began to rush him. Holding out his right hand a golden sphere appeared and illuminated the alleyway with its warmth. The young tamer knew he didn’t have enough time to charge his Qi into something destructive, but the point of this wasn’t to kill the human host, the point was to disengage them, in terms of their strange weapons and demonic powers by knocking them out. ’A single Qi Blast should suffice, for this sort of thing.’ His eyes opened slowly only to find a massive amount of men and women roaring at him with different forms of Qi directed at him. The charging elements caught Ignazio’s glance as he gazed at each of the players looking at the demonic code swirling around their arms, weapons, and even their eyes. The codes were more complex in terms of abilities and even their styles, something far beyond what he’s ever seen or read of in a text book.

Lowering his arm as he noticed the attacks were getting a little too close for comfort. Quickly bending his knees Ignazio pushed himself to the left just as the array of attacks fired and hit the wall of the building causing a massive explosion. The shockwave pushed the young tamer further causing his body to move forward and his legs closer to the ground. Ignazio instantly made himself run and leap once more as he found himself approaching large men holding giant sized weapons. As his body moved higher into the air and landed on the opposite side of the large brutes; suddenly a giant axe made its way towards his frail aristocratic body upon his decent, causing Ignazio to bend his body backwards and enter a backwards flip but he couldn’t complete the flip without risking his legs. As Ignazio’s body fell to the ground he felt his leg being grabbed by one of the guys and soon he was jerked away from the ground and into the air. Ignazio let out a scream as he was lung to the right and his back was slammed on the ground and then once again on the left before being thrown away to the masses. Ignazio screamed in pain throughout the whole time before his body crashed into the open hole that was created from the first attack on him.

His body was covered in scratches and blood trickled down from his forehead, right leg, and even his lip. Struggling to get up from the pile of rubble he somehow managed to find the strength to get up. Soon he noticed his uniform was also ruined, the shoulders torn and his shorts had a few rips throughout them. The golden eyes glared as he pushed himself forwards towards the opening where the humans stood laughing and congratulating themselves as if they just defeated Ignazio. Soon a hand came free from the opening and grabbed on to the brick before Ignazio’s body appeared in the opening. He looked up with a deadly glare before his eyes closed again and a smile was on his face, but that faded quickly as well after he wiped the blood from his lip. ”Alright guys, you’ve had your fun, so I guess it’s my turn.” ’So let’s see, we have magic users, weapons users, summoners, Berserkers, but no healers among the group. There goes that plan of forcing one of them to heal me after that assault.’

The damaged tamer struggled forward for a second wincing in pain as he struggled to hold his right index finger in the air. ”I’m done playing games with all of you.” escaped from his mouth as he cried in pain a little as his Qi formed once more, but this time, it wasn’t bright, it wasn’t even visible to the players, but the exorcist around could see it. It was swirling and bright and only getting brighter the longer he stood there. Ignazio may not have had the time to charge his Qi, but he was sticking with his original plan. Not to harm the humans, only to give them the same amount of pain they had just given him.

One of the men began to mock Ignazio as he called the others to attack him. Ignazio stood still with his eyes closed as he listened to the group shouting and began to move towards him. Soon, Ignazio’s eyes opened and his single finger turned into a palm and then lowering himself to the ground he released the Qi at a single point. The tamer yelled with a combination of pain and frustration as the Qi he created was like an invisible force of wind swirling around his body and increasing in size and range as it connected to each of the bodies. Some of the players tried to protect themselves with their weapons and even their ‘magic’ but it all failed as Ignazio’s Qi was stronger and more vicious then they could ever imagine. Ignazio watched as the men and women were pushed back with the great force and their bodies slammed into the surrounding buildings and even the ground skidding to a stop. The tamer slowly stood up and removed a small napkin from his jacket and began to remove the blood from his face, cleaning himself up with the most elegance as he could while waiting for the others to drop their weapons and beg for mercy. ”Typically I would have just crushed all of you without any bit of mercy, but the fact you’re still human brought me to allow you to live. Besides, I still have questions for you idiots to answer. Now, what will it be? Answer my questions or be knocked out like all your little friends and taken to the police.” Ignazio said as he scanned the area after talking to the remaining five men. Ignazio placed the napkin back into his blazer pocket and then his eyes narrowed as he noticed the Qi signatures fading. ’I see, so they lose their powers as they sleep, so the demonic nature can’t survive if the host is unconscious. Which means most of them haven’t slept since Pandemonium started; they must be running on auto pilot now, I can’t believe their bodies even lasted this long. But then again it could be possible if they slept on their own free will. I did send a massive amount of Qi through their body which could have connected to the nerves in their brain. But I really don’t know if that’s where the demons implanted themselves. But each area of their body where the Qi signatures originated were different, which could mean that each player’s hosting locations varies by their type and abilities.’ Ignazio’s brain began to move at a high speed but he wasn’t anywhere close to cracking this.

Turning his head slightly after picking up on a higher demonic presence Ignazio’s eyes glared and he looked to the skies. ’I’ll have to deal with that one right away. Things could be bad if that makes its way throughout the city. Looks like I’ll have to use Hyorinmaru’ ”Look guys, I don’t really have the time to deal with you. So if you wouldn’t mind just giving up now, I have other things to deal with. Bigger and more dangerous demons are in this area and I really don’t have the physical strength to protect you. Your giant friend over there gave me a pretty bad beating.” Ignazio said as he pointed to the sky first and then over to the large man whose body was rapidly decreasing in size to a very skinny and short young man. ’Didn’t see that one coming.’ Turning his head to the sky once more he reached into his blazer and grabbed the tarot card he held before and knelled down before wiping the blood that was falling from his right knee on to his left index finger. ”Guess I have no other choice.” Ignazio said as he turned his back to the men and held the card in front of him before sliding his bloody index finger down the face of the card.
