Scott glanced around the hallway and noticed Craig's undeniable discomfort. "Guys, why don't we take it out of the hallway? It is starting to get crowded and people have to walk through here," he said trying to help out, he studied Kali for a moment. She did look familiar, even in the slightest, to him.
"C'mon, clear out," he said shooing students away. "Go find something to do. Go to the Library or the rec room...or something, alright?"
Scott waited, turning his attention to Vic and trying to remember if he knew the kid or not, before assuming that he was new..

Kitty puffed her cheeks out in a childish manner as she looked at Scott "Jeez Scott, ya have to be a downer doncha?" she whined childishly as she stopped swaying to her music. She then crossed her arms for a moment before giving a sigh and threw her hands in the air over exaggerately "Ugh! Fine!.." she conceded before looking at everyone with a smile "Welp I guess I'll see you guys later!" she waved before phasing it through the floor since it was faster to get downstairs that way.(Exit)

Kali Zane ~ Ember Determination that is incorruptible From the other side a terror to behold Annihilation will be unavoidable Kali watched the scene around her unfold. She was used to crowds of people she didn't know. Usually, she welcomed them, but that was only when she was running away or wanting to hide. Something about being alone in a room full of people, but never before did that saying feel so true, than now.
She recognized the man that walked down the hall, towards the ever growing group. She remembered throwing the knife in his shoulder, to stop him from following her. That was before she ran into Logan. She studied his arm, bandaged under his shirt, and assumed that he was fine. Her blade wouldn't have caused any permanent nerve damage and it was closer to the surface of his arm, than his bone. Lucky for him, he had tried to get out of the way. Still it had proven to be affective.
He said that the crowd needed to move along, because people would need to get through, and Kali wondered what sort of people he was talking about. Her mind wandered to Craig. She felt the need to run, to get away and she imagined that he did too. He hadn't left, and she didn't quite understand why. If he was afraid of people why did he choose to stay around.
Kitty left the hall, phasing through the floor, which Kali almost expected. Still it was interesting to see mutants put their powers to use. Especially when they were so much different than her own.
"Right," she muttered. "Library? Does that sound like a good place," she asked Craig. She figured that out of all the places in the mansion, that might be where there was the least amount of people. The quiet would almost be welcomed after meeting the bubbly one.

Craig Thomson Ghost Say you want to stay, you want me to... Craig took a moment before he responded to Kali's suggestion to go visit the school's library. " yes... Library..." he murmured, unable to take his eyes off the group of people around him. He stuffed his shaking hands into his pockets as he moved away from the wall, twisting himself around, to avoid touching anybody. He had surprised himself in the fact that he had been able to be around so many people for so long. It had only been a few minutes, but that had broken several records, as far as his ability to be around others was concerned.
He moved towards the end of the hallway, in the direction of the library, and looked back over his shoulder to see if Kali was coming. He wordlessly jerked his head in the direction he was facing, and just as quietly shrugged at his flame haired companion, as if to say " you coming or what?" Say you'll never die, you'll always haunt me...

Kali Zane ~ Ember Determination that is incorruptible From the other side a terror to behold Annihilation will be unavoidable Kali waited for Craig to respond and when he did, he said yes, still eying the group around them. Kali watched them too. She was used to watching people and their movements. Her mind calculated infinite possibilities with every move someone made. Were they going for a weapon? Were they about to attack? Defensive stance?
Kali wished that her mind would quiet itself. She should be used to it by now, but at least it was only calculations and not voices. She never heard voices, unless it was some flashback. She hated those.
She smiled when Craig began to move and quickly followed him, not wanting to stay in the hallway any longer. There were so many people, but especially Scott. She couldn't help but eye his arm, where she had thrown the dagger. It looked fine, but she was amazed that he had dared get so close.

Scott watched the red head leave with Craig. He wondered if Craig would be okay, considering the blade that had gone into Scott's arm when he and Logan had gone to pick Kali up. She was an ever growing mystery. One, that Scott was not sure he wanted to know the truth on. He would treat her as if he didn't know her. Because, in all reality, he didn't know the first thing about this Kali Zane.
Scott smiled to himself as he watched the two go off to the library. Craig seemed comfortable around Kali and that, if nothing else was a great improvement.
He then turned his attention on to the new-er face. The boy. "My name is Scott Summers. I teach here. Can I help you find something?"
He found it odd that he hadn't heard the young man speak and searched his pockets for some sort of solution, any possible solution..

Rxxxxxoxxxxgxxxuxxe Continuing her stride down the hallway Rogue sighs softly. As she passes by Scott, she gives him a nod of acknowledgement. Listening to the group of three discuss plans to head to the library. She ignores their chatter to caught up in her thoughts of the new people in school. Continuing down the hallway a slight breeze touched her shoulder. She was slightly alert at the sudden touch. As she spun around to see who touched her. Her attention was drawn to the new student she saw earlier in the group. The boy with the hooded sweatshirt. Quirking her left eye brow up she wondered what he wanted. "Can I help ya with somethin'?" She asked him. Curious to know what the teenage boy wants with her attention. Seeing the distant look on his face. (O.O.C: Sorry for the late post)

Victor "Windbag" TaparcVic stood and thought for a moment as someone else spoke to him. He looked back and forth between them, becoming increasingly frustrated at the fact that he wasn't remembering his signs as clearly as he would like. He paused a moment before sighing and pulling out his notepad with the three pieces of paper. With severely disgruntled movements, he scrawled down the same message on two out of the three sheets, something he didn't realize might have been a mistake until it was too late, tore them off and breezed one to the girl with the white streak and the male who had an air of authority about him. New here. Told this place was for specials. you folks can help. little lost. Name's Vic.He tore the last sheet out, shoved the empty pad into his pocket, caused a breeze and then absentmindedly started to make the paper dance around a bit.

Scott raised an eyebrow and took the note that floated in front of him. He smiled, nodded and reached into his pocket when he noticed that Vic's notebook was empty. He pulled out a small, steno notebook that he just picked up that morning. He usually wrote things that he needed to address with certain students, but this one had nothing written in it. He handed the notepad to Vic.
"You found the right place, Vic," Scott said and turned to Rouge. "I'm sure one of us could take you to Professor Xavier and show you around." He was hoping that Rouge might take Vic around. He had mountains of tests to grade and a conference with a student in an hour. The work was caused by himself, but with going to pick up Kali and being ordered to take it easy with his shoulder, he seemed to be falling behind.

Rxxxxxoxxxxgxxxuxxe Rogue turned to catch a glimpse of the new kid writing down a message on two separate pieces of papers. When she saw him toss one into the direction of Mr. Summers. Then one directed towards herself, she grasped the note into her gloved hand. "Nice to meet ya Vic" She smiled a little then turned towards Mr. Summers.
Lifting an eye brow at him wondering what he wanted. He suggests that maybe she could show Vic around. She really didn't have much to do on her agenda for today anyways. Besides he would probably be busy with grading right now. Remembering the test some students had complained about in Mr. Summer's class. "I could show ya around Vic" She volunteered directing her attention back to him.

Scott nodded at Rouge. "Thanks," he said quietly as he felt a sudden fear radiating from his chest. His thoughts began to drown him and he felt the air in his throat scratching to escape. It only lingered for a moment before fading away.
His mind quickly tired to reason with what just happened. He glanced at the two. "I think I'm going to check on Craig and Kali," he said, praying that nothing went wrong in the library. Both had dangerous powers. He knew Craig usually had control, but he knew nothing about Kali.
"I'll check on you two in a while," Scott said as he began to walk towards the library. Looks like those quizzes may have to wait.

((Kali enters from the swimming pool)) ⇢ frøm thε αshεs » A FIRE SHALL BEWOKEN « Kali wandered down the hall, continuing to consider the idea of freedom. She wasn't sure what true freedom felt like but even the little bit that she was given was overwhelming. There was no schedule for her when classes weren't in. That meant she would have the freedom to choose what she wanted but she didn't know what she wanted. She had never been given a choice.
She could read, but there were so many books that she didn't know where to start. She didn't know what she wanted to know. She was not like the students she met in the library. She had never been in a library before. She didn't understand the idea of fiction.
Kali thought of the other things that she had seen other people do, while she had explored the school. Bobby had swam, but Kali could not. She had no desire to try to swim. Kali watched others play games, but she didn't know anyone. She didn't know the rules.
She almost wished that she was back at the lab, where she had no freedom. It was less complicated but she didn't like it there either. Suddenly, she felt an overwhelming sense of danger. The wooden walls and windows around her looked like the stainless steel halls she had known so well. She could hear the voices of the workers talking behind closed doors. Kali felt a rush of warmth, her heart began to beat fast and she glanced around for a way out, forgetting that she was safe at Xavier's school.

⇢ frøm thε αshεs » A FIRE SHALL BEWOKEN « A few minutes passed by and Kali finally saw that she was not back in the place that she was used to, but in the halls of the X-mansion. Safe or not, she was there. She stood for a moment, in the silence that filled the hallway.
She thought of the library and how she had so many questions about it. She wondered if everyone would have left so that she could explore it on her own, without feeling defeated by everyone's knowledge, that she lacked. She was sure that she would find something interesting. Not a fiction book, but information was always interesting. There didn't seem to be much else to do, alone, and Kali wasn't tired enough to retire to her room.
Kali walked along the hallway, remembering all the things she had seen. She took a couple of turns and found herself in the doorway of the gym.

((Tero enters)) Tero made it into the hallway entrance first, looking around for any sign of Ororo and the new student, then settling for leaning against a wall when he didn't see them. A minute or so passed before the other two joined him. He smiled and straightened up, walking over to them, "Good day Miss Munroe."
"Good day Tero." Ororo responded, "This is Corwin. He has just joined our school. I was going to give him a tour, then help him sign up for classes. Would you like to join us?"
"I would love to, if you would have me. It's very nice to meet you Mr. Corwin." Tero nodded politely.
