Wen lifted the bucket slowly, feeling the strain on his muscles from the sand and the resistance of the water. He dumped the water and slowly poured out the sand on the blanket, making an amused sound as he watched the green fan her pile and the silver choose a large swatch of area. 'Are you going to join them?'
Rynsemth replied and dragged his claws through the pile of sand Wen had dumped, smoothing it out.
"I don't think Cepheith would be pleased if be brought fire out into the sands, even if it was to dry the sands faster." Wen pat Rynsemth's sides. "Could use your body heat to dry the sand out as well."
Instead the young black shifted to a other blanket, spreading the sand out.

Tacelon was just leaning down to scoop up more sand when suddenly there was a voice in his head, thanking him for his idea. He jumped, nearly fell over from being unbalanced, and just managed to prop himself on the bucket before he ended up face-first in the sandy water.
He straightened, somewhat shakily. What was that? How could there be a female voice speaking in his head? It felt a little bit like Echo sending feelings at him, but not the same. Looking wildly around for the cause, he spotted the green dragon standing by the blankets, who was starting to fan her wings at them. Hi eyes widened. Was that her? Had a dragon really spoken to him? He ducked his head again, a bit embarrassed in case she caught him watching. It wasn't that good of an idea, anyone could have thought of it. Someone probably had, and he'd just been the first to say it. Still...if it was the green, a dragon had thanked him. And thanked him directly, not speaking through a rider.
Still not sure whether to be embarrassed or the tiniest bit pleased, he dug his bucket into the sand vigorously, coming up with a nearly full bucket. He sloshed his way out of the sodden sands (was the water already starting to seem a little less, or was that just him being hopeful?) and tipped out his bit of water. He hesitated a bit before heading to the blankets, though. With two dragons fanning, there was a noticeable breeze now, and he didn't want to get in their way. He edged around, keeping well out of reach of their wings, dumped his bucketload of sand on the nearest blanket, and hurried off for more.

Roan dug the bucket down again and groaned as he pulled it back up, seeing mostly water inside of the bucket, well maybe he didn't dig down enough?
No matter, he trudged outside and dumped the water and let the sand out on the blanket to dry, he noted that the sands from earlier were starting to dry and a smile appeared on his face, happy that it was starting to work.

(Hey guys I noticed a couple of rolling posts that never had anything edited into them. If you have a post after that with the rp then its fine, if not be sure to edit your post so it can be counted. <3 )
Wykla waited for stragglers and looked up as a great shadow passed over. She knew those wings. Hekate’s salute was returned with a nod. All help was welcomed. More help soon arrived with a young black.
“Sure do Wen. Glad you could make it.” She arched her brow as Rynsemth even offered to volunteer. “He’s more than welcome to. Rynsemth you can turn the sand with your claws to help it dry faster. Just be careful not to snag the blanket under the sand.” She grinned at the both of them before they went off to start working. A familiar green sounded her greeting and Wykla waved to Dizzian and Courath.
She glanced around at her work force with a contented smile. It was looking good for the eggs that they’d have dry sands for Hatching day. Wykla blinked as a familiar blue came walking up toward the group. What are you doing here? With the blue came a fair number of her hoard of flits. A bronze detaches himself from the dragon and comes to land on her shoulder. Wykla reached up to pet his head.
Kameth raised his head and breathed out in a huff. Everyone else is here to help. Why not me? He settled himself down between two blankets, patiently waiting for sand to be deposited. An array of flits settled across his body.
She smirked. “Alrighty then. Have fun.” With Boreal riding along, Wykla picks up a basket for herself. Every bit would help. She gave a quick scoop and nearly got all water. Oh well. Wykla dumped the water outside the Sands and dumped the small amount of sand on a blanket overlooked by Kameth.

Like the nit-picky creature she could be, Cepheith nudged each and every egg until they were sitting just right - for the time being - and as far from the water as she could get them. Said water was looked down on with a hiss and constant grumbling. Cepheith was not a happy first time mother. Something her rider was more than tired of hearing complaints about. So when Wykla had brought this current 'lesson' for the candidates to her attention, Narisa was all for it. And even offered to volunteer herself. Cepheith, on the other hand, just watched everyone closely.
Narisamine, they will be careful, won't they? I do not want my eggs getting wet! The Gold had her eye particularly on Zarike. Tail lashing in a threatening manner, she watched the boy suspiciously, gleaming white teeth flashing.
"Don't even think about it." Narisa sighed, rolling the bottoms of her pants up a little more. She was wading closer to the eggs then any of them. "They are trying to help. So don't snap at them."
They are too close! And bringing water closer.
"Don't be ridiculous. They are not!"
Cepheith grumbled again, narrowed eyes flicking up towards the other dragons. Her claws dug into the sand slightly as she snorted towards them all.
Shaking her head, Narisa made her way towards Wykla, giving her a wave. "Looks like they are doing pretty good." She said with a smile. "Cepheith will be super glad once the sand is drier." She paused. "And I'll have less grumbling from Cepheith!"

Seeing the Queen so agitated made Roan work harder, digging deep into the waterlogged sands and dragging it alittle, picking it up with a large haul of only sand it seemed and it was packed in there.
He heaved it towards the blankets and looked back at the Queen dragon and her rider who was helping them as well. He couldn't help smiling alittle, not trying to get in good with the woman but just because being around the dragons made him feel happy, even while doing all this grunt work.
He dug his bucket in again.

She went back into the sands and was about to make another scoop with her bucket. Wykla saw Narisa coming toward her; she paused and sloshed carefully over to the goldrider.
"Glad ya think so Narisa. I'm honestly pleased with the turn out myself. Course I'm sure the eggs had something to do with that." She winked and gave a soft laugh. "How's she holding up to them being here?" Speaking of....
Wykla looked around at those scooping and gave a sterner look at those getting a mite closer to the gold and clutch. The teen pitched her voice to carry, "if Cepheith must warn you away from her eggs, you may be watching the Hatching from the Stands." She arched her brow to see if her meaning was clear. While she didn't think the gold would get violent, it wasn't something she was going to test.
"Just keep reminding her how good it'll feel to stretch out on dry sand again." Wykla grinned. Boreal trilled to big gold and Narisa; stretching his neck out as far as possible while still maining his perch on Wykla to get his head close to the goldrider. She held up her arm so the bronze could move to her forearm to continue begging for a scratch.

Naanash bent down and paused in filling his bucket at the voice. Who? He glanced up and snorted before bending down to the task, scooping up a other bucket of mainly sand. Pre-teens. The boy was close to Hollin age if he had to guess. His younger sister had always been good at following orders. Ones that made sense at least.
He walked outside, drained the water and dumped his load of sand by the black dragon to tend to.

Someone was getting warned off and it wasn't him for once. Vaail glanced over the clutch and gave an amused sound. The eggs were a temptation, he could see why the younger kids and even some of the bolder would head towards them. He lifted his bucket, mainly water and headed out. He dumped the water and poured the little bit of sand on the blanket.

'Did you get that Ryns?' Wen asked, scooping up the sand and gave a soft amused sound as he ended up with mostly water. Every bit helped. He headed outside and tipped the water out before heading towards his dragon.
Rynsemth replied, regally and ran his claws through the sand on one of the blankets he had claimed, turning it over to dry faster. He snorted as his rider dumped a small pile of wet muck right in the middle of his work.
'Priss.'

As Tacelon went back for more, movement from the brooding queen caught his eye. When he glanced over, he saw a flash of bared teeth and caught unhappy grumbling. They all might be working to make the Grounds dryer for her eggs, but she still was clearly not happy about it. He made sure to stay well away as he went for another scoop.
Then jumped when the Assistant Candidatemaster called a warning about getting too close. Clearly he wasn't the only one who'd noticed the queen's displeasure, but he was determined not to be a cause of it. He scooped his bucket so hastily that all he got was water, then hurried out to empty it away from the Sands.

Naanash dipped his bucket into the water, coming up with simply liquid instead of sand. He brought the water outside to dump onto the soggy patch of earth.

It seemed that the gold was getting rather irritated with all these people around after all. Despite the urgency of the situation, and the necessity of keeping the eggs dry, Corloss couldn't blame her for getting angry. He'd do one last bucketload, and then he'd leave her alone. Dipping his bucket deep, he came up with the vessel filled to the brim with wet sand, and put his back into it as he dragged it off to where the blankets lay.
