The demons were making quite a bit of progress with their gate. Brian wasn't going to let them win though. He reached down towards the ground and dug his fingers through the dirt. Imbuing the earth with his elemental power he then flipped a large chunk of stone at the demons.

"This seems dreadfully ominous to me." Victor flips through one of his father's books, hoping to garner some sort of clue as to what these monsters hope to accomplish.

Langer pinched out a fire starting to grow in his singed hair, half of his right eyebrow burnt off from the hellfire. "Bloody show-offs" he muttered under his breath, unstrapping the tank from his back. He gripped the top of it with his gauntlet, focusing the energy needed to alchemize it, the metal rippling and compacting under his touch until he held a cannister no larger than a grocery soup can. With a loud cry he flung it into the air, the cannister landing and bouncing at the feet of some of the demons, the cannister releasing an electrically charged cloud of what was presumed to be gas before exploding, the cloud hanging heavy in the air around the demons.

These monsters were swinging at the gate and no attempt to stop them seemed to be working. Kenneth tried to grapple but found very little purchase against the supernaturally strong.

These demons were proving to be more annoying than cockroaches. Though it could be considered reckless, Rhea threw herself at one of the demons, slashing at them with her switchblade.

The demon's were foolishly ignoring the defenders in an attempt to breach the gate. Several spears of ice were launched forth from Brian's position into the backs of the demons. He wasn't too happy about killing sentient beings but they did need to be stopped.
