Jericho had practically forgotten that he wasn't alone in the room. Mot and Lizzy may as well have been strangers right now anyway. And thus, when the cowboy approached to try and calm him down, he ended up lashing out. Riley was gone. Was there anyone he could truly trust any more? No. He was alone. Alone. Barely at home.
Swatting his hand away, his mouth soon opened up as he unleashed a plume of the ashen flames. He wasn't even really aware that he was not using his normal fire here.
The world just needed to burn at this point.

Mot took a step back as his hand was swatted away, intent to try again. But he froze as Jericho turned on him, inhaling sharply before ashen flames were shot at him. He brought up his arms defensively, shuddering upon impact. It was odd. Nothing hurt. Not physically. Mot blinked and staggered back. Sure, he wasn't burned, but something felt wrong.
That small amount of strength Mot had built up just enough to try and help his friends. It was being eaten away. He was of no help. He knew. He'd been stubbornly trying, if only for them. But he could not help. He never could. Never would.
Mot was a useless, and terrible friend. A terrible person. Useless.. useless...
His heart felt heavy, stepping back again, clutching at his chest.

Precisely because it was a plushie, she woke up soon enough, rubbing her sore nose; what happened? The last thing she remembered seeing was something red, and then... She sat up just in time to see Jericho attack Mot, his flames as grey as the tip of his wings. While she could see no visible burns on the cowboil, the fact that Jericho attacked him was... Unforgivable.
Seeing that made something in her snap.
"STOP IT." She walked right up to him, shoved Mot aside - to safety - and then slapped Jericho on his cheek. Never mind that her hand probably stung more than his face does; she was sure that the pain she was currently feeling on her chest was greater, as her tears had started to flow again, "IS RILEY YOUR ONLY FRIEND? WHAT ABOUT ME? WE WENT THROUGH THINGS TOGETHER TOO. WHAT ABOUT MOT? AMRITA? MALODORE? SHEHK?" A shove followed, "WE'RE NOT IMPORTANT?"

Mot was out of the way but then he felt a sudden slap across the face, which caused him to stop everything he was doing and practically freeze in place. Lizzy's words ripped straight through him and the rage he had been feeling died just like that. Strength left his body and he was easily shoved back. In fact after that, he just dropped down to his knees in defeat.
"We're sorry.. we'r sorry... we're the worst.. the worst.. good for nothing.."

Mot held his arm around his middle protectively, still shuddering from the overwhelming feelings he was dealt. Lizzy's words to Jericho had him watching the two with a pained expression. He was curious to see how Jericho would answer her.
The dragon seemed remorseful, falling to his knees. At least he wasn't on a rampage anymore. His response was something Mot could empathize with. Good for nothing indeed.
Mot let out a slow sigh, rubbing his arms and looking at Lizzy.

"You really are the worst," She muttered, wiping away tears using the back of her hand, calming down a little now that Jericho wasn't tearing up his room or attacking anyone. She was still upset, angry and most of all, hurt; he could have potentially really hurt Mot, her big brother who was just trying to help.
"How many times must I repeat myself?" Her voice had softened, like she just didn't have the energy to speak any louder. She had moved to the side to inspect Mot for any injuries that might need tending to, although by some miracle, he appeared to be fine, "We're your friends too, right? You can trust us, count on us, right? Why were you saying yes when the answer in your heart is a no? Were you lying to me that time, and all the times before that?"

"Do you know... what it feels like.. to lost a piece of yourself?"
Of course she wouldn't understand. None of them would. The bond he had with Riley wasn't something simple. As his rider and best friend, she might as well have been a part of him.
No one would understand. Except maybe Malodore. If anyone could, it would be it. But he didn't expect anyone else to really be able to get it.
Yes he had friends, but it wasn't the same. He still felt lost. Completely and utterly lost.

"Does it matter if we understand you?" Mot asked softly, sadly. "Whether or we do or not makes no difference. You'll be miserable either way." Maybe Mot felt upset and impatient with Jericho for attacking him. Maybe he was just fed up with the pain and loss surrounding them. He couldn't help anyway. May as well just let his horrible opinion shine through.

"No, I don't understand what it feels like," She replied, glancing briefly at Mot as he spoke, "He's right. You'll still be miserable, and it's alright to be miserable. It's alright to grief and cry and throw things, because you need all those, but it's not alright to wallow forever... We're waiting for you, Jericho."
She paused, sighing, finally calming down, "Don't lose yourself, please... The students should be released sooner or later. Go talk to Malodore. I think he really needs you right now... I'll come by tomorrow, alright?"

Jericho stared down towards the floor as the other two spoke. He really didn't have anything to say any more on the matter. He didn't know what to say. Instead, he just sat there with tears flowing down. Did it matter if he lost himself? A part of him was already gone. Did it make that big of a difference to lose the rest of him?
He just.. sort of nodded. Weakly.

Mot waited as Lizzy talked Jericho down, taking that nod as a sign they could go. Mot couldn't handle this anymore.
"Come, Lizzy. I'll walk you to your dorm." He said quietly, already making his way to the door.

She nodded at Mot before mouthing for him to hold on, walking up to Jericho to pet him on the head and give him a hug, although she said nothing else on the matter; there wasn't anything else to be said, from her end. Everything else will be up to everyone else. She could only hope that speaking to Shehk or Malodore would be able to help him.
"I'll see you tomorrow," She murmured to him before letting go to join Mot at the door; perhaps they could talk on the way home.
