Severin gave the young girl a friendly smile. Highly likely she wasn't a brat or she wouldn't be here. The way she spoke was very mature too. Probably similar to the cursed witch from the teacher's meeting? Severin didn't know and he didn't care. Monsters were always monsters, but at least he wasn't trying to discriminate them publicly.

"Right this way. I'll open a window for you here. I had him get rid of it so hopefully the smell will air out." Severin said as he led the young girl to a window seat and opened the window.

Severin returned to his desk. Well, it should be about time for introductions. The class might be getting bored.

"While we're waiting on the other students, I'll introduce myself. I already wrote my name on the board. My name is Professor Novaire. Since it's the first day of school, I just have an easy assignment for all of you. I want to see how well everyone can speak English and understand its structure so I have a grammar worksheet for you all to do. While we wait for everyone, you can work on it." Severin said with his friendly smile pasted on his face as he picked up a stack of paper and started handing them out to everyone.

As Ruby entered the English classroom, she promised herself she would stay out of trouble, so she took a seat at the corner, far away from most of the students and the teacher. She's already made made enemies with her Art teacher, she really didn't want to make enemies with her English teacher too. But hey, it didn't really take much for him to hate her..... all she did was splash water in his face..... but she was sure she wasn't to do that with her English teacher.... she even left her water bottle at home. She sighed and hoped for the best.

Upon seeing a student walk into the classroom just as Severin finished handing out the worksheets, Severin had to make his way back to the student. He kind of wished they would be less spread out so it would be easier to hand out papers, but with all the different species in here, he couldn't blame them for wanting to sit apart from everyone else. If he wasn't a teacher, he'd do the same.

Severin smiled at the newcomer. "Right now we are working on grammar worksheets so I can see your understanding of the English language. It's more of a pre-test, but you are free to ask those around you for help." Severin said to the girl as he handed her a sheet of paper.

Hopefully she would notice his name on the the board so he wouldn't have to introduce himself to every student that walked into the classroom. That might be troublesome.

Ruby Corone


Ruby was in the middle of working on her worksheet when she heard Jukka say "I skipped Art class. That's what I had first period, but I overslept... I'm part cat, what did you expect?"
Ruby glanced towards him, laughed, and said "Hell, you had Art class in your first period? You really shouldn't have skipped it..... it was quite chaotic....." Ruby closed her eyes and grinned as she suddenly had a flashback at when she splashed water in the face of the Art teacher and flowers falling from the roof.....

"Not that you helped the situation at all," Angela said to Ruby. Honestly, she didn't have a problem with students standing up to teachers, but there was a way to do it and a way to just make yourself look like an a**. Not to mention getting yourself in trouble. "And you earned a detention in the infirmary for your trouble. I definitely do not envy you." The girl would be lucky if that creeper didn't dance around slapping her with a dead fish the whole time or something. Angela had no idea why she looked so smug because in the end, she didn't feel that Ruby had looked any better than Javor. At least Renivere's outburst had seemed to be due to naivety more than anything else.

Ugh.

She started filling out answers on her paper, smiling slightly. "Actually, I've always been a cat person. I found some stray kittens the other day. Um...someone I know is helping me take care of them. You should stop by with me later," she told Jukka. She figured that being a cat and all, he'd be good with kittens.

"You know, I have an ointment that might help with that," Angela told Jukka, leaning toward him. "I actually use it for my back because it gets irritated frequently--but it's a Fae medicine so it should help with that as well, I think. I mean, I'm not sure about an eye injury but you can try it if you want. It's in my bag..."

She wasn't sure how he'd apply it. Maybe ask to be excused or something, but it was worth a try. The eye seemed to really be bothering him. She wondered what had happened but 'gee, how did you lose your eye? I knew someone who got his poked out by one of those little umbrellas they put in fancy drinks' just wasn't really a good ice breaker.

Ruby turned to Angela, who had said she hadn't helped the situation at all. "Well, if someone didn't do it, he was going to keep on going picking on the students! Besides, I'm not one of those people who think and then act. I'm quite the opposite...." Well, there goes trying not to make an agrument with someone. "I'm sorry if I didn't help the situation at all, but I just hate people who pick on someone smaller.... it's just pathetic!" Ruby had no intention of having an agrument with Angela, so she left it at that and continued working on the worksheet.

Hiro kept writing. The work was fairly simple. Placing quotations, commas, spell checks. Without any distractions he finished and got up from his seat. He walked over to the basket Mr.Novaire referred to
