Cody saw her grip his shirt but then giggle as she snuggled into his arms. Cody watched as this happened but just tried too keep from crying, it was so cute but this just made him think about his unborn daughter but he kept trying to get that thought about of his mind.

Emily smiled as she watched Melody and Cody and couldn't help but smile softly she sighed as she laid down on the couch and closed her eyes " She never usually warms up to anyone that quickly.." Emily said and smiled as she opened her eyes and looked at Melody with calm sapphire eyes

Cody looked up at Emily when she laid down on the couch but then he looked back down at Melody, "I wouldn't understand why..." he said softly, not sure why Melody seemed to warm up to him so fast.

Emily smiled and nodded her head slightly as she watched and shook her head " Sometimes i wish.....her father was a better person but then when i see her be so cute i forgot about it..:" Emily said and smiled as she closed her eyes

Cody heard what Emily said but then thought about it, "Well if you two want... if your both tired then I have a bedroom for both you and your daughter if you want..." He said softly, thinking that maybe they would both want some rest.

Emily nodded her head slightly and slowly sat up holding her head because it was throbbing slightly " Thank you.." Emily and smiled a bit

Cody nodded to her softly, "Its no problem." he said softly but then he checked to see if Emily needed his help standing, but seeing that she was weak, he gently handed Melody back to her but then lead Emily to a room. He looked at her, "This room has a small bed and a crib... your daughter can sleep in here if you want... you can sleep in my room which is across the hall as well." He said softly but then he thought about it, "You won't be sleeping with me though... I am letting you sleep in my bed as it seems you need a nice bed to sleep in." He said softly.

Emily nodded her head slightly and smiled as she gently hugged him and kissed his cheek and smiled as she looked at him " Thank you for being so kind to us." Emily said and smiled as Melody fell asleep in her arms gripping her shirt slightly

Melody snuggles against her mommy and yawns ready for bed. She then falls asleep in her mother's arms and was so cute when she was gripping her shirt with her tiny hands. The day she was born, Her mother sang to her and she was so happy when she did that it earned her the name Melody. She had always loved music and loved it when her mother sang to her. Though she had not recently.

Emily smiled and gently walked over to the crib and laid her down and pulled a blanket over her and kissed her forehead " Night little one.." Emily said and smiled softly as she looked at Melody and stroked her cheek

Cody blushed when Emily kissed his cheek but then he watched as Emily laid down the now sleeping Melody into her crib but seeing this brought a flash back of Jasmine, his old girlfriend, standing over the crib rubbing her swollen belly but a few tears came to his eyes but he ended up walking back to the living room and sitting on the couch, he didn't know why these memories kept coming back, he was fine before but seeing these two, it hurt... as if someone wanted him to remember.

Emily blinked and walked out of the room and walked over to Cody and sat next to him and placed her hand gently on his shoulder " Memories giving you trouble.." Emily asked in a caring tone as she looked at him with soft blue eyes

Cody felt her hand on his shoulder but sighed a bit, "You two remind me so much of her... I mean... I only got to see my daughter once... but..." He froze and felt a few more tears come out of his eyes.

Emily gently wrapped her arms around him and held him close to her chest and rubbed his back " I know its hard when someone reminds you of old memories." Emily said in a gentle tone as she rubbed his back

Cody blushed feeling what she said but then began to think about it, he went and gently leaned against her, crying a bit, "It... it was terrible... I lost them both..." He said not able to hold it in as he was so sad about this.
