I've only met one Celeste, but she was pretty nice.
However, I've met a lot of Dawns and I think only one of em didn't suck.
I'm a Dawn.
Narrowly missed being an Elizabeth, which I'm grateful for.

|~*^.[Jay].^*~|
Real first name or most-commonly-used first name?
The one I use most is Jay. It just so happens to be my favourite letter of the alphabet, and the name of the main character in that novel trilogy I'm supposed to be writing (I can never get past chapter four, for some reason...).
My real name is...*not sure if she should tell*...
Oh, okay. But I'm going to white it, so you can't see it if you're too lazy to highlight.
Aaminah.
There. It's Arabic, and it means "one who brings spiritual peace". I challenge everyone to name one person I've brought spiritual peace to. If they can do so, then I'll accept that the name fits me. If not, I'll go back to "Jay", if it's alright with everyone.

But he's dyslexic. So he can't really spell anything.

my first name is Jennifer. Which would be fine...except that in every single class I'm ever in, there's usually at least 2 other Jennifers...

FastFresnel Your name is awesome too! You just don't see it because it's yours. Your name is so pretty, with sweet sibilance! I guess so... I just wish there were more nicknames for my name. The only people who have nicknames for me are my parents, and I don't really count those because they have nothing to do with my name. But I call myself Lissy or Alleycat usually, depending on my mood. Sometimes friends will call me Lissa, which I like, or Liss, which I don't like. When we were little, my cousins used to call me Sasa. hehehe

There are no nicknames for my name. I used to get the "Rolls" thing all the time, or other silly variations of that. Now people just call me by my first name, and that's good by me. Although sometimes when I am telling someone new my name, they ask me, "So, do you go by that?", I guess because it's not a name they typically think of as being feminine. This always surprises me for a moment, and I have to bite my tongue not to say, "Well, that's my name, but if you're more comfortable calling me something else, whatever."
