Heres my perspective on it:
I'm a God believer, and a Christian. We (or I) don't believe that gay people will go to Hell, but will be lost (that may be a contradiction but oh well). Also, note this:
In the Bible, God made man to be with woman. If he approved of gay/lesbian marriage, he would of probably had another Adam.

I believe that if there is a God, and he/she was really that adamant about men being with women, he/she wouldn't have given humans free will to choose who they love.
He lets people choose what they want, etc. because he loves them.
I'll throw this out: What would you rather have love you: A robot puppy, or a real one? See, God didn't want artificial love, he wanted real love.
