hmmmm, hard choice there, but I think if the Orks stoped fighting each other and work together they could really have a chance of ruling everything.
But like that would ever happen pirate

None. The main powers will cancel each other out and the smaller powers will just add to the stand still by attacking a race when it gets too strong. It will be an epic standstill that will lead to pointless violence, bloodshed, and warfare. Let the slaughter begin! xd

IT'LL BE EXACTLY LIKE IT IS NOW? SWEET All this talk about who will rule the galaxy is starting to give me a head ache. I say stop thinking about it and start playing the game. Even if a certain race will rule the galaxy; in theory there will always be another force that will oppose said rulers of the galaxy. There will always be balance

Even if a certain race will rule the galaxy; in theory there will always be another force that will oppose said rulers of the galaxy. There will always be balance Yeah, just with some minor breaks in the action every few million or billion years. Then things will be back to bloodshed, slaughter, and pure unadulterated violence mrgreen In any case, I'm a Chaos player, but I know they're just simply screwed, as is the Imperium. If I had to make a guess on only one race, I'd say the Necrons. They'd stay sleeping while the Tyranids left to go torment another galaxy, therefore making the 'Crons the "rulers" of this galaxy.

I am unsure where people are getting this, but the Dark Eldar and the Eldar are not opposing each other. They actually hardly ever fight. They simply disagree ideologically about the way their race should survive, yet they agree that their race should survive. All four Eldar factions so not fight each other.
Additionally, if the C'tan and the Necrons were driven off into hiding by the Enslaver Plagues, the Tyranids are so much worse. Tyranids have a grasp of the Warp and can do everything the Enslavers did.
I believe the following would occur:
Imperium - Collapses due to heresy or corruption. Tau - Destroyed by any other race accidentally or otherwise. Too weak to stand. Chaos - Defeated by Necrons or Eldar. Death of Eldar would destroy Chaos. Tyranids are mostly immune to Chaos anyways. Eldar - Dying race would die or retreat into Webway forever. Necrons - Defeated by lack of sustainability due to Tyranids and/or defeated by Eldar finally. Orks - Eventually would get eradicated by the nigh-unstoppable Tyranids and Necrons.

Not a bad theory. But i dont think the Tau would resort to biological weaponry, i'd say thats more an Imperium idea. I think the Tau would just continue to use advance tech, maybe create a super bomb

Tyranids can counteract any biological weapons by simply mutating. Tyranids are the undisputed masters of biological weaponry. Additionally, the Eldar and the Imperium regularly utilize "super bombs" to destroy entire planets. The Tau will gain little from this innovation.
Every race can survive based on either pure numbers (Imperium, Orks, Tyranids, Necrons) or the ability to safely retreat (Eldar, Necrons (kinda)). The Tau have neither numbers to stand and fight nor can they spare the worlds and retreat.
The Entire Imperium held off hive fleets by destroying their own planets to deny the Tyranids. An entire Eldar Craftworld barely and luckily survived against a Hive Fleet. The Tau don't even stand a chance.
The Tau's only advantage is plot shield. As long as anime fans buy Tau models, GW will allow Tau to live.

Anyway i'm a Tau fan. Yeah i might be an anime fan but thats not influenced me into collecting them. Personally i feel if someone buys the Tau just because they watched something like Gundam Wing / Seed or the such then they are idiots.

The Imperium didn't exactly manage to hold off Hive Fleets by destroying their own planets, just slow them and divert them. The destroyed worlds have also had to be abandoned indefinitely due to some Tyranids managing to survive the destruction of the worlds biomass and simply wait for more biomass to return to the planet.
As the Tyranids have no major weakness any race has been able to take advantage of they shall simply devour all in the end.

The Necrons will eventually conquer the galaxy. When defeated, they teleport back to some where secure, maybe a Tomb or something like that. The Necrons have no major weaknesses, apart from maybe the Warp, which they are soon going to cut off when the Deceiver finishes his work, that will tear apart the Imperium, Chaos in all forms, Eldar, Dark Eldar and any other psychic species. Also, the Machine God is a C'tan, and the Star Gods are what they're names say, then can consume stars, which will effectively finish any race's advancements. Also, the Necrons have no biomass, neither do the Tomb Worlds, screwing the 'Nids ideals.

There is NO machine god, Omnissiah or spirit. There is only the Emperor and he is partially responsible for the creation of the masses believing that there is a Machine God. As for the Void Dragon, it sleeps and cannot interfere with the outside world, at least not until its guardian has been killed.

Oh, I keep on hearing and thinking that the machine god is the Void Dragon. Is that girl still the Guardian, or will she have gone by now?
