Melody can't help but giggle at Hitsuga's trouble with the packaging, but she doesn't offer help; after all, he needs to learn to do these things on his own, right.
She glances around awkwardly; does he think she could have a glass of water to take this with? She has a difficult time swallowing them whole without one...

He inwardly slaps his own forehead at being neglectful of such things. Yes, yes of course she can have some water....! He'll just be a moment. 3nodding
Saying so, he scurries out of the front room and disappears somewhere into the back of the house. When he returns a moment later, he carries a teacup between his hands, careful not to spill any of the water it holds as he brings it to her.
Will that be all right, he asks, and....will one pill be enough? His eyes, briefly, flicker down to her stomach. Forgive him, as he has very little personal experience with her condition. sweatdrop
It is only that he imagines carrying two little ones must be taxing enough. He can hardly fathom what two stomach-achey little ones may be like.

One will be fine! Melody isn't precisely certain of the mechanics of such things, but she'd never had trouble with just one before, and besides, she doesn't plan on eating the whole thing at once, along with a bowl of ice cream, and perhaps a gallon of milk to wash it down, right? xd

At this, he allows himself a laugh. No. He supposes not. That would, perhaps, be a bit much. whee
He picks up his own pill where he has left it on the countertop, contemplates it a moment, and then places it on the back of his tongue, swallowing away the bitter taste it leaves.
Bleh... though better than being huddled over with cramps.

Hitsuga will get used to it after a while. ...If he decides he enjoys dairy enough to put up with the pills. 3nodding
Melody points out that it's very difficult to avoid dairy completely here in Gaia, so they're handy to have around as a "just-in-case."
And as she swallows her own pill, she gestures to the strawberries. Well? Would Hitsuga do the honors?

He will make note of that, he assures her. He's mostly stuck to preparing his own food for the time being as he's not felt brave enough to expand his horizons beyond what others have shared.
Just yesterday, Lady Rika had introduced him to soda. Which...he was still deciding whether he liked or not. It had, if nothing else, energized him enough to keep him working on getting the house cleaned well beyond his normal bedtime.
....but he is rambling. sweatdrop He lifts the lid away from the box, releasing a scent of cocoa and berries that is unfamiliar, but intoxicating all the same.

Oooh, soda! Perhaps, Melody thinks, Hitsuga should try other flavors before he dismisses it entirely. One day. ONE DAY, she and Hitsuga and Daddy and Boyue can bother Great-Grandpa Setsutsu at Grandma's Cafe and try the sodas and coffees and teas.
But for now, she watches Hitsuga curiously, eager to see whether or not he enjoys the chocolate-covered strawberries.

Perhaps something to do after.....what had she called them? Snow-cones?
Hitsuga fishes one of the berries out of its wrapper, holding it uncertainly by its stem, as if he's not sure the proper way to hold it, and then takes a small bite of it.
The first thing that strikes him is how sweet it is, the berry's own natural sweetness being made to seem tart in comparison to the chocolate's. This is followed closely by the contrasting textures, the chocolate making a yielding shell over the berry's soft flesh.
Much like the guitar music, it is not what he'd expected....though the thrum of curious and pleasant feelings that emanate from him suggest that this is a surprise he enjoys much better.

Ah,yes, the snow cones! Though, in retrospect, Melody has to question the wisdom in sampling soda, tea, coffee, and sugar-syrup in the same sitting. She has to admit, though, after all that, a visit to the park where they can all run around like children until the buzz wears off and then a nap in the sunshine might not be a bad idea. xd
She finally takes a berry from the box and nibbles the tip, eyes closed as she eats her strawberry as slow as possible. Mmmmmm~ heart

He tries, just for a minute, to fathom himself behaving in such a way and finds himself blushing brightly instead. He can't recall the last time he'd done anything like that.
To do that now, what if people saw? What if they stared? What if...
Stop that... his mind warns him. This poor lady has enough to worry about without having to pry you out of a corner too
He swallows the anxiety which is, after all, over nothing, and focuses on the strawberry instead.
He was perhaps hasty in dismissing everything Gaia offered as bizarre, he admits after a moment. These are very good, and he thanks her for having him try something new.

Melody suddenly opens her eyes, tilting her head as she regards Hitsuga with a look of concern.
Is he all right? Did Melody say something wrong? --And before he worries about possibly worrying her, she tries her absolute best to project nothing but the best intentions, comforting thoughts, anything she thinks that will help.

He opts for changing the subject. Since Melody was so kind as to entertain him with her own talents, perhaps he ought to reciprocate. Would she care to see what he's currently working on? He cannot promise it is anywhere near as impressive as her guitar, but...
