Even though Kurt Warner visited the Niners for a physical and meetings and everything, Warner would be willing to sign with the Cardinals for less than the price he could get elsewhere. Warner's agent offers a proposal to the Arizona Cardinals for 2 years at $23 million with $12 guaranteed. They would also give the Cardinals a $1 million discount per year if they signed Wide Receiver Anquan Bolden to a long term deal.
Nice...

They are in need of a SS, and he could fit in nicely. The Giants have been really bust during free agency (maybe a bit too busy), so I don't know how much salary cap space we have left. As for Terrell Owens...he's still a threat on the field, but I think there are very few teams that would be willing to take a shot with his character issues.

He is a great player, but think about it. Even at his best, he was beat by anyone who had anything close to speed. Look at how bad, even when Philly and the Giants were depleted with injuries, he was beat down field. The guy is decent against the run, even he was beat out by the likes of Derrik Ward, Brian Westbrook, Correl Buckhalter, Clinton Portis. That is just to name a few. And Buchalter was a BACKUP!!. Now dont get me wrong, Buck is a great backup and could probably start anywhere, but I mean that is bad. Roy Williams best strength is against the run. If he were to learn to accept that and go as a Linbacker, he would be a beast. That is the best thing he could do. His skill set is more to being an exceptional LB than a saftey.

Well that's why he interests me. The Giants' defensive package would have their strong safety play close to the line of scrimmage, blitzing and supporting against the run. Williams would do a pretty fine job with that. Yes, he isn't so good in coverage and he doesn't have much speed, but he is a ballhawk and is a good tackler. Anyways, the Giants already have a few safeties that are good in coverage, like Michael Johnson, Kenny Phillips, and CC Brown. Also, Roy Williams is a 'young' veteran, that could help the secondary mature.

Safety Sean Jones signes a 1yr deal with Philadelphia. This kid does seem promising. 14int's in the past 3 seasons and that is with missing 4 games last year after knee surgery and then coming back early so he could try and help his team. Great pickup if he comes back like he was a few years ago.
