Feliks looked at the 'deva for a moment, apparently thinking something over, before shrugging.
"So? I betcha me and Toris could take her. I mean, we've--
"I won't be helping you if she attacks, when you've done nothing but antagonize her. It'd be your own foolishness getting you into trouble.
"Yet again."
"Psh, that's what you always say. Then you end up helping anyways, every time."
Toris just scowled.

Rajasi was sort of sad when she saw the others back off from her simple little challenged. She sighed and sat where she was. "I only wanted to play a little game." she complained to them. She tried to make an innocent face but failed - such a thing was just something she couldn't do.
"So... now what?"

"Well..." Sika sat and thought for just a moment, then grinned. "You can race us if you don't cheat and use your wings," She said, offering the apparently now-sad 'Deava a smile. She hated seeing foxes sad, so it was the least she could do.
"That is, if you guys aren't too chicken to race me!" Sika added with a laugh, taking off towards the other end of the prairie again.
"Kids these days..." Skype muttered under her breath, shaking her head at her niece. She supposed it wasn't necessarily a bad thing that she was so easily entertained, but it grated on the nerves a bit; having her with the other male, Feliks, did nothing to help the problem.
Shaking her head again, Skype started to walk again, not really caring if Toris decided to walk with her or not.

"Ah..." Rajasi sighed as the other fox took off. She shook her head with a smile. "You've piqued my interest, and I'm not one to shrug something like that off." She stood and began to race off after the other fox. 'Wings or not,' she thought, 'I've still got a longer stride than you...'

"You're the ones who should be afraid of racing me! I'm the fastest fox in all the world! I'll see you both at the other end of the prairie!" Feliks called out, as he began to race off, not waiting for the others to start.
Really, the only reason he was 'the fastest' was because he was always the first to start.
As Toris had no interest in joining in the competition, he ended up walking with Ms. Skype by default.
"Kids these days indeed. You would never guess that he's been an adult for a long while, just by watching him." Toris shook his head, but wore a slight grin.
"At least they keep each other entertained. It means that we both can finally get some peace for once."

"We shall see." Rajasi said back to him, though not as loud. She proceeded to dash along, keeping her wings tucked in close to prevent resistance. While it was tempting enough to just take off and soar past the earthbound foxes, she appreciated the challenge to her superiority. Her long strides were enough for her to overtake the foxes easily, but she held herself back and couldn't help but smile at the enthusiasm of Feliks and Skia.

Sika giggled and shook her head, pushing her legs harder and making herself run faster.
"You're only the fastest fox in your little bitty world that doesn't have me in it!" She yelled as she nosed in front of Feliks, "And you will see me when you finally get there!" Laughing, she ran even faster, smiling widely. It'd been a long time since she'd had this much fun.
"For once," Skype agreed quietly, watching the children and the Modieva, still wary. "Though, I'm usually by myself, so it's a nice change of pace. Just don't tell them that." She added with a small chuckle, the smallest of smiles coming to her face.

"No way, I'm the fastest in the whole entire giant world! And I betcha my world's bigger than yours! I've got forests and prairies and mountains and oceans and lakes and rivers and all kinds of things!" Feliks shouted, and then stuck his tongue out at Sika.
He wasn't about to let her get ahead! Now that he was done wasting his breath on talking, he forced himself to go faster, catching up again with Sika.
And, he was a little bit bigger than her, so that meant he should be faster too, right? Right! Yeah, there was no way she'd beat him! He'd so beat both her and the 'deva to the other end!
...wait, why was the other end still so far away?
"Just how big is this thing, anyway!" Feliks grumbled.
"It's the opposite with me. Feliks is nearly always around, so it's nice to be rid of him for a bit." Yet, Toris' tone didn't quite match the harsh sounding words.
"Don't worry, your secret is safe with me," he promised Ms. Skype with a smile. He wondered if Ms. Nausika had been exaggerating how cranky Ms. Skype was. She seemed really good natured--far better than other foxes he had known.

Rajasi felt the need to add to the mood the two competitive foxes seemed to be sharing. "Well I'm bigger than both of you." she said simply as she passed near them. She smirked, which was something that she rarely did. She lengthened her stride just a bit and began to move ahead of the other two foxes. "This is what happens when you challenge a 'Deava!" she called, unintentionally mocking them.

"Not fair!" Feliks called out, almost instinctively. "I'll still beat you, too!" But he was getting further and further behind her, and his threat was obvious for the empty thing it was.
"I'm just holding back until the end! Everyone knows you don't give it your all until the end!" And then, just for good measure, he stuck his tongue out at her.
Toris just rolled his eyes at the antics of his companion. Obviously, this was nothing new for the red and white modi.
"I keep thinking that he'll mature eventually, and he keeps proving me wrong," he said with a grin to Ms. Skype.

"Really now?" Once again, Rajasi's interest was piqued. 'This little one is something...' she thought, rather amused. She didn't see the other fox stick his tongue out, as he was falling farther and farther behind her, but she couldn't help but feel like he did. Her pace slowed slightly, though she really didn't notice. For once, she was starting to have some fun.

"HEY!" Sika shouted as both of her new friends started to outdistance her. "You guys are cheating!" She didn't know exactly how they were cheating, but she wasn't winning so they must've been doing something wrong...
She was about to start running faster when she stumbled over what felt like a fuzzy rock and she was so distracted that she tripped and fell flat on her face.
"Hey!" She said, trotting back to whatever she had tripped on. Upon closer inspection, she realized that it wasn't a thing, it was a who. A kit!
"Hey, Aunt Sika and Mr. Toris! Felly! 'Daeva lady! Lookit! I found a baby!" Sika shouted, grinning. She lay down next to the thing and whispered, "I sorry I tripped over you, little thing. It's okay. Are you okay?"
Skype was about to respond when her charge suddenly shouted - not unusual, really, but there was a different tone to this one, and she'd said 'Aunt Skype'. Raising an eyebrow, Skype trotted next to her, blinking down at the little ball off fluff.
"Err..." Skype said, lost for words at the moment. "What...is it?" It didn't look...normal. It opened it's eyes and Skype had to stop herself from reeling back - they seemed to stare straight into her soul.
"A-loh...A-tay..." It (he? she?) whimpered, curling up tighter around itself. "Doh-moh...Koo-doh..." It blinked up at Sika, who was frowning.
"Boh-bay..."
"What's he saying?" Sika wondered, looking down at the little thing. It was cute, at least to her. She turned her head and shouted over her shoulder, "HEY FELLY! COME HERE! LOOK WHAT I FOUND!"

"Totally!" Feliks shouted, as he started to speed up a little. She was falling for it! This was awesome! He was going to beat a 'deva at a race!
He heard Sika shouting, but he didn't stop. She wasn't hurt, so it'd be okay if she waited until he won this race!
Toris came over, along with Ms. Skype, to look at what Ms. Nausika had found.
"I don't know. I haven't heard anything like that before." Toris looked at the kit, wondering if there was something wrong with it. He had never seen anything like that before. Kits couldn't get mods, but maybe it was something from the kits parents? He had seen some interesting modis before, but nothing like this kit yet.
"Feliks, come over here and take a look at this!" Toris wasn't about to tell Feliks it was a kit. He knew Feliks would never come, then. He'd have to be vague, to get Feliks' interest.
Feliks rolled his eyes, but everyone seemed so excited about something, and he really wanted to see what that something was. He couldn't believe they wouldn't just tell him! How rude was that!
"Hey, what's wrong with it?" he asked, once he'd seen the kit. "It looks kinda freaky. Really freak, actually."
"Feliks! Maybe his parents are just a little different. Its entirely possible. Don't insult him, especially not where he can hear you," Toris chided.
Feliks rolled his eyes, but remained silent.

Rajasi also was more interested in this new development than in the childish race she was having with the energetic foxes. She leaped up gracefully, opened her wings, and in one single movement was airborne and had twirled around in the air. She could see the furry little thing as she approached, though she didn't land too near the group.
Instead, she decided to station herself a few feet away from the huddled group. She cocked her head and blinked once, also trying to figure out whatever it was, but said nothing.
