I don't mind whoever the Niners take. Brown from FSU as a pass rusher as an OLB, Maualuga to play inside with Willis, Curry from Wake as another potential LB. I wouldn't even mind Sanchez as a franchise QB because we have a new offensive coordinator. Rather than think of it as 5 new coordinators in 5 years or whatever it is, it could be thought of as a new regime with a HC, OC, and QB.

The 49ers could go with Maualuga, to play inside with Willis, but they have bigger needs. Curry is a good pick, a bit overrated in my eyes, but expects say that he shouldn't fall into double digits, so the Niners probably won't get him. I think that Shaun Hill is a pretty good QB, but they should maybe try to trade for Matt Cassel.

I don't think it'll come anytime soon.

Probably not. Cassel is best suited with either the Chiefs, the Vikings, the Bucs, or maybe even back in New England.

Cassell got franchised. He'll be making more than Peyton this season and he might not even start. That's something for only a year of playing in Brady's spot. Gotta look at the cap room you've got if you want to trade also.

And... The Patriots might just dump Brady. It's happened with every other position, Samuel, Law, Milloy, Vinatieri, Dillon, Branch... Just to name a few... Why not the quarterback?

Then someone can pick up Brady... Chicago Bears anyone? Maybe San Francisco? He did grow up in San Mateo.

No way will the New England Patriots release Tom Brady. He is arguably the best QB in the league, and at the very least, second to Peyton Manning.

Just because he got injured in the first week of this season, and Cassel stepped in pretty well, doesn't mean that they'd just give up on Brady. Tom Brady is the face of the Patriots, and has led them to three Super Bowl wins. He also set huge records last season. The Patriots didn't even make the playoffs this season, and probably would have if Brady was leading them.

...The Patriots don't even know what is up with Brady's injury. He may or may not start this upcoming season. Supposedly, his injured knee got infected, and may need another surgery. They are keeping Cassel until then, and once they take note of Brady's status, they'll decide what to do.

So in short, I think that Cassel will either start for the Patriots next season (if Brady is still injured), or be with a different team. The Patriots will probably try to trade away their overpayed QB. I don't see Cassel being with the Patriots as a backup, at least with that huge contract.

everyone critisise me now but i dont think cassel is as good as everyone thinks, he had Moss,Welker,Watson and one of the best lines in the league, i think Rex Grossman could have put up better numbers in that situation

I also think that Cassel is a little overrated, because of his success for being on a good and warmed up team. Anyways, Matt Cassel is much better than Rex Grossman. But when you look at his character, Cassel could actually be a pretty good starting QB elsewhere. He is tough, smart, and pretty accurate. He is also very poised in the pocket, much like Brady.

For some odd reason, I'd really like to see the Raider's come back into playoff picture. Maybe they should Michael Crabtree?

Who did they say was possibly going to be drafting Michael Crabtree anyway?

I think the Raiders will make the playoffs the year that Al Davis dies. It sound bad but he used to a great owner now he's just a idiot.

I'm not a big fan of Al Davis either, but I beleive they will come back in these next few years.

Yeah thats what I was thinking. Then they will have an awsome Wide Receiver when he is seasoned. Plus they already have Darren McFadden who is what I see becoming a very explosive Runningback.

Although I think JaMarcus Russel needs to go. He hasnt impressed me very much, but who knows, in time he might get better.

They will probably draft Crabtree if he's available. But it won't matter, because he'll turn into the next Calvin Johnson. A really good WR on a horrible team. If the Raiders really want to get smart and rebuild, then they should draft the best offensive lineman available.

jamarcus has showed real signs of being great, mcfadden will be healthy and michael bush showed what he can do vs bucs in week 17. the raiders need to trade justin fargas for a lineman or trade justin and thier 2nd rounder for a first rounder in the teens

Fargas is pretty good, but the Raiders won't get much value for him. If they want to terminate his contract, then they'll probably just release him.

Russel looks pretty good. He's a bit overweight, but he has a great arm. He just needs to stop making the rookie mental mistakes, that he's been making for the past two seasons.

The Raiders' offensive line is depleted, and their receiving core isn't talented. It's just a huge mess. They could go with anyone in the first round. I'd say it'd be more positive to draft an offensive lineman, but that's just me.
