Okay, I'm the newbie here, but I would like to offer a suggestion, if permissible. Since book 12 has not been published yet, and the current events are occurring 100 years after events in the books, a lot of the history presented here would be indeed much speculation, correct? Maybe it would possibly be easier to compile a history after certain blanks are filled in? I'm just saying.......

I agree on that point. Then again, most of it is speculation on my part, since I've not even read past The Shadow Rising.

The length of the books allows us to see RJ's world both physically and socially not to mention the diverse political intrigue and depth of culture and character. Though, without the supporting cast for the 9 or 10 main characters (sorry memory failing and I don't feel like grabbing my notes right now) all of this is lost. I propose that for now as our numbers are low we NPC ourselves with the Mistress of Novices until we get more people coming in then we could either appoint someone or take turns torturing uhh I mean teaching the new novices.

Here's a silly question but I feel I must ask. Do all posts count towards advancement or just the ones we actually RP and or story arc?

Thats a good question. I know for Warders, it ws specifically posts in the Warder Training Grounds, or at least was for me.

I don't know, but I wouldn't be worried about it anyway. I know it says after your first 100 posts you can be raised Accepted, but I wasn't chosen to be raised until over 200 posts. Personally I think the posting number shouldn't matter; it should be when a higher member decides you're ready like the Keeper did with me. I had no idea it was coming, and that helped me genuinely act surprised.

Don't get me wrong I agree, but I feel that we should have a requirement if only as a loose guideline to help steer our posts. whether it happens before or after should still be scrictly the perview of the already Raised as it would have been in the Tower. They did keep tabs on each other and seldom were raised at the same length of time, but more when others felt they had diserved it.

Alas, the problem is that in an RP version, some people would be impatient, and let their characters learn all they need in a few posts. The main purpose, I believe, in this system was to provide some structure to help keep things like that from happening.
