Aradoa and Kuro stumbled into Aradoa's room covered in grime. "Ooo that woman! I cannot believe how many times she hit me with that wooden spoon," Aradoa announced angrily.

Kuro snorted. "She certainly has a strong arm."

Aradoa walked over to her wash basin and washed the leftover residue off her hands. She moved so Kuro could have her turn and reached around to struggle undoing her buttons. "Mistress of the Kitchens," she mocked, "I think she's getting confused with her place; she should have to visit the Mistress of Novices."

Kuro dried her hands off and walked behind Aradoa, helping her with her buttons. "I could not believe how many things she had for us to scrub! I think she dirtied half the pots up on purpose. There's no way they could use that many for one meal."

Kuro finished with Aradoa's last button and turned around for Aradoa to help with hers. Aradoa stepped out of her dirty novice dress and helped her friend undress.

"And to think we have a week's more of it. Oh Kuro, my hands are going to fall off from all the scrubbing!"

Kuro giggled. "I think mine already did." She turned around and showed Aradoa her hands. Aradoa in turn showed hers, and they both laughed.

"Well I had better be getting to my own room. I'm going to wash up and try to salvage my hair before bed. Goodnight, Aradoa." They hugged each other and Kuro walked over to the door, peeking her head out. She clutched her dirty novice dress and bolted to her door in her shift. Aradoa closed the door behind her fleeing friend.

Aradoa stripped out of her shift and washed her body with her rose infused soap. She washed her hair carefully and wrung the extra water in her hair out into the bowl. After the 100 strokes to her hair, she went to her wardrobe and changed into a clean shift. Before closing the door she took her knife and sharpening stone out. She sat down on her bed, performing her nightly ritual before blowing out the candle and snuggling into her bed.

(thank you for keep my character up, I lost my internet last night XD)

Kuro dropped wearily into her own bed. She was so exhausted she couldn't even find the energy to discuss the days events with her new friend. She rolled over and though about Cirithil. She had been quite pleased when he beat her, and kept her from falling to the ground. As she drifted off to sleep she wondered if he would still be unbonded when she became Aes Sedai.

(haha no worries I'm glad you didn't mind!)

Aradoa awoke groggily. The first toll had not yet rang, but she stretched and put her mouth to the hole in the wall. "Kuro. . .Kuro. . .are you awake?"

Kuro groaned when she heard Aradoa's soft whisper. Her entire body hurt after the one day of cleaning, she felt rather ridiculous she was not that soft of a girl. Moaning she rolled off the bed and began to gather her clothing. "I am awake." She grumbled back at the wall.

"Well, I'll come over to your room when I'm done dressing so we can go get some breakfast," Aradoa said through a stifled yawn. She dressed quickly, and scrubbed her teeth. She hastily ran her her brush through her hair and tied the white ribbon she owned into the back of her hair. She opened the door and let herself into Kuro's room. "Goodmorning, Kuro."

"Good Morning Aradoa." She yawned and stretched as they made their way down the hall towards the dining hall.

Aradoa's stomach growled loudly, echoing throughout the hall. Kuro put her hand over her mouth and snickered, and Aradoa's cheeks turned pink.

"I hope we can figure out the right way to the dining room today, Kuro." Kuro nodded in agreement as the took another wrong turn.

Aradoa mumbled a goodnight to Kuro, staggering into her room. She didn't even bother undressing or even sharpening her knife before falling wearily on top of her bed. She was asleep before her body even hit the bed.

Despite Kuro's exhaustion she could not make herself sleep, two very disconcerting things had happened that day. One the suspicious feeling of being watched and two, nearly tripping over the Keeper...it was such a foolish mistake.

Needless to say when someone knocked softly on her door she almost jumped out of her skin. She opened the door praying it wasnt an Aes Sedai looking for a late night errand.

A tall woman swathed in black entered her room. "Kuro yes?"

Kuro nodded. The woman gave her a cold smile. "I have been watching you since you came here. I have decided you are very prosepective for our Ajah..." She trailed off watching the younger girl.

"And...which Ajah is that Aes Sedai?" Kuro asked cautiously already fearing where this was going.

"Why the black of course."

[Continued from Tower Grounds]

Cirithil found several more white-garbed Fades, all falling before they saw him. The had not expected a Warder, only Novices or Servants. He turned a corner, and saw something different. A Fade still in black stood outside one of the Novice doors. This one saw him. The two began combat. The Fade showed clear suprise when caught against an opponent weilding two swords rather than one. Cirithil soon cut its throat, making sure it couldn't warn others. It had said nothing during the fight, only grinned with eagerness, for Cirithil's blood. He turned to the door it had been guarding. Time to take a chance, he thought with a grin. Light, if I'm wrong...

He quickly opened the door with a kick, and hit the figure in front of him with the pommel of his sword, knocking it out. His jaw dropped when he saw its ageless face. "Not good...I just hit an..." He shook his head and looked to the bed. There Kuro sat. He bowed quickly, and looked to the window rather than her. "My apologies, there were Fades...I though that she was..." He continued with such attempts at explainations, turning just slightly pink.

The Aes Sedai waved a hand throwing Cirithil through the door with impressive force. Kuro lunged foward trying to run to his aid but found herself bound with air. "CIRITHIL!!!"

"Be quiet girl." The Aes Sedai snapped. "That child will ruin my plans if he interferes." She looked over Kuro again. "If you want him unharmed you will do as I say. Once you are raised to Aes Sedai you will join the green Ajah...but you will join it as my spy."

Kuro started to shake her head when the Aes Sedai pointed a finger out the door at Cirithil. She pressed her lips together in muted rage at being caught in such a dispicable trap. "Yes Aes Sedai."

"Very good dear. Now sleep, you will not remember this encounter." Despite her efforts to stay awake Kuro felt herself slide into a deep sleep.

Cirithil was furious, and what little Saidin he had access to flew through him. He stood up again, both swords drawn. The steel was nearly white with heat, and the air around them seemed to bend light as though the blades where an inferno. Suddenly, flames errupted at the Black's dress, and Cirithil lunged forward, his blades flickering towards the Black. She turned suddenly, suprised even herself that Cirithil had stood, much less that her dress was fiery. To much had to be done to quickly, and before she could finish her weave of air, Cirithil's swords had sank into her neck, steam rising from them. His swords cut deep, and burned the surrounding flesh. When Cirithil realized what had happend, he looked to Kuro, "Wake girl!" He said loudly, "Wake! There are Shadowspawn in the Tower, Saldaean! Do you still have enough of your homeland in you to draw blades against them?"

Kuro groaned she could here someones voice pulling her out of the induced sleep the Aes Sedai had caused.

Before the Aes Sedai died she laughed at Cirithil. "If you think killing me will end this...you...are...very....mistaken..."

Kuro's eyes opened as the Aes Sedai breathed her last breath. She shot up. "Cirithil are you well." The words poured out before she could stop them and she clamped and hand over her mouth, turning bright red.

You would think the death surrounding her would bother her more but it didn't. She staggered to her feet and looked disgustedly at the shadow spawn and the black aes sedai littering the ground.
