Aradoa rushed into the room and immediately dropped down to a curtsy that almost had her falling onto her face. "I am so sorry Aes Sedai. I did not mean to be late."
"Do not worry, child," the woman with the ageless face began. Yes! Aradoa thought, No Mistress of Novices today!. "I am sure the Mistress of Novices will remind you not to be late again." Aradoa's heart dropped.
"Now then, sit down so we may begin."
"Yes Aes Sedai. . ." Aradoa mumbled.

Kuro hurried through the corridors as other novices rushed to their afternoon duties. She skidded through the door of the room she had been instructed to go to and dropped into a curtsy. The Aes Sedai sitting at the small desk looked her over impassively.
"It is nice to see a novice can be relatively on time." She commented. "You are Kuro yes?"
"Yes Aes Sedai." She responded promptly, she was determined to spend as little time in the Mistress of Novices office as possible.
"Very well, have a seat you will begin by mediating." She pointed at a chair opposite her which Kuro hurried to and promptly sat down in.

Aradoa's entire body was sticky from all the sweat. She had not been able to embrace the One Power at all today.
"I do not understand why you were able to embrace the source yesterday with your knife, but cannot today!" The Aes Sedai exclaimed frustrated. Aradoa knew why; it wasn't her knife. Her knife with with Cirithil. The blacksmith that made the replicated knife had done a good job, but she could tell it wasn't her knife as soon as she picked it up. It was not the same weight for one. Oh it was close, and anyone else would have thought them the same weight at first, but not Aradoa. Her hands had been trained with that knife.
"I'm sorry Aes Sedai, perhaps I am still exhausted from traveling and our work yesterday." The Aes Sedai sighed.
"Perhaps you are right, child. give me back the knife and head on over to the Mistress of Novices. I will see you tomorrow morning."

Aradoa gave a curtsy and a feeble "Yes, Aes Sedai" and exited the room, heading to the Mistress of Novice. I spend more time there than I do anywhere else. She thought to herself, taking the oh so familiar route.

Kuro looked at the Aes Sedai wearily. She had been meditating and trying to form the blossom in her mind for hours. It was nearly dinner time. Finally the Aes Sedai gave her a disappointed look. "It seems you are having some trouble completing the process, we will continue tomorrow. You may go, and Kuro, the Mistress informed me you do not have chores until after supper." She waved a hand dismissing her.
Kuro curtsised and trudged out into the hall. Aradoa was just down the hall. "Hey! Aradoa wait up!"

Aradoa stopped and turned seeing her friend coming down the hall. "Hey Kuro! How did class go?"

She trotted to catch up with her friend. "Disappointing actually...I would like to relax before dinner, do you think we might go to the practice yards...I know we may not have permission but I really want to stretch my muscels." She began to head towards the courtyard, the one place she remembered how to get to.
