"I have received brief word that you could not acquire medicinal supplies for your people. If I were to simply give it to you in witness of the imperial court then I would be branded a traitor." Arya said escorting her to the medicine storage. "Herbs, remedies, ingredients, and panaceas are all located in this room, carry what you need and I will let you walk away... And do not fear for your people, as long a stand high in the government I will do my most to conserve the cease fire between our lands. But I do worry for Juwel. He may not be persuaded as easily." Arya leaned against the wall and looked at her and waited for her to make her decision.

Lerylia nodded, "Thank you. I'll gather what I need right away." She walked straight to the medicine his chief pharmacist developed. Lerylia picked only the exact amount that she needed for her people. She walked to the door, "I hope next time we meet, the circumstances won't be like this this." She left the palace. She escaped trying her best not to get noticed.

Meanwhile, Eva had boarded her ship again and set sail. She didn't want to risk it by staying too long on Sceptra. If she even got some food there, it may very well be contaminated. She decided to go hungry instead of risk eating something that was infected.
The conversation from the gem merchant in the hideous shack ran through her mind as she sat on her lonely futon. The creaking of her ship and the lapping of the air could be heard outside. If she looked out the window, the island of Sceptra was getting farther and farther away. She sat with her chin resting on her knees and looked out the window.
"It started with the plants. We don't know what caused it, but it was in those seeds. My theory? The military poisoned it so that it would infect us and get rid of us. Then the animals that ate the food got infected as well. Ya see, it spread from the plants to the animals, and you know where I'm going with this. Everyone eats meat. And if they don't, they eat plants. Either way, you're screwed," the round man at the gem shop had told her.
Eva sat in her room which was barely big enough to fit a twin sized futon and a couple books and maps in. The wood along the edges was showing signs of wear, and would probably have to be replaced in a year or so. The outside couldn't be much better, since it was constantly exposed. The small window in her room was coated in dust on the outside, which obstructed the inside view. Not that there was that much to look at. She looked out at the dull image of Sceptra and eventually decided that, more or less, she saw complete logic behind the merchant's theory.

The scrawny, short old man walked downstairs, talking with a guard. "I wouldn't do anything as of yet. Wait until we talk with Arya." He turned a corner and caught a glimpse of a young girl, or at least seemingly to him, and thought it was the "intruder". Now he walked toward Arya. "This guard tells me of an intruder. I have told him to hold off an alarm until further notice of your opinion. What do you think?" He managed a concealed wink, meaning to say 'I know of everything' but without really saying it.

"No leave her, she simply came here on good will." Arya said walking back with him to the sitting room, the fire had died down. "What do you say to a warm drink?"

Lerylia left the palace and rented a horse to get to the nearest airship. While she was headed home, she reflected on what happened. She had a feeling that Arya would give her what she needed. Lerylia really did plan from the beginning to simply ask him. There was no way she could really steal from a man with a fully equipped palace.

Eva didn't know what to do. Her airship was drawing closer and closer to the main island, and she was still sitting in her room thinking.
Even if the man's theory was right, what would she do about it? So far, they had no antidote, and no one had knowingly been cured. That ruled out the possibility of venturing out to the mainland to steal some medicine or even a doctor.
Actually, Eva didn't care that much. She wasn't infected, so it had nothing to do with her.
The only thing that concerned her was her lightheadedness because she hadn't eaten yesterday, or today. Stupidly, she waited until she was completely out of food to even go back to Sceptra in hopes of getting some food there. Her water supply was running low as well.
She had to do something, or else she might starve. So she didn't alter the course of her ship. It was heading to Tesa, and that was where she decided to go.

"Please, thank you." He said. Then "Wine if you'd be fine with that." He was a drinker of wine, loving the bitterness. Morilineth fueled the dimmed fire and then sat and took a piece of toast from a desk next to the chair.

"As you wish." Arya said. He went down into the cellar, where two huge kegs stood. He chose two glasses, the ones he only used on occasion. The glass gleamed like crystal. He poured white wine into the glass, then added a green grape stem with a single fruit. Then he poured champagne into his glass and took a grape of his own liking and lightly pressed the grape, dropping the juices into his glass. He walked back upstairs and set the glass of wine on a chair side table for Morilineth. Then put his glass next the wine. "Enjoy." Arya said sipping silently.
To ensure the safety of our children, we must unite against the real threat. Not push back a single people we blame our problems on. For through that, we ensure a world of hate in the future. And in that future there is war... Arya recited the poem in his mind, written by his Grandfather.

Eva's ship was getting closer and closer to the main island. No doubt there were highly trained military officials there, ready to shoot down anyone that looked remotely like a Librethian. Eva was beginning to wonder if she'd even make it on the island without being cornered, interrogated, shot at, successfully shot, hung, handcuffed, slashed, cut, or anything else along those lines.
But now, she didn't really care. She was stupid to put off eating like this, and the lightheadedness was, well, going to her head. She couldn't exactly think straight. Not to mention that the rocking of the ship was making her a bit dizzy.
She had made up her mind to take a civilized approach to the island. She probably couldn't even win a fight with her current energy level. So, she slung her jagged sword over her shoulder and onto the floor, leaving it. Just in case, she picked up her pocket knife from her desk and tucked it away and out of sight. Putting on her coat and brushing her hair, she almost looked like a normal dweller of the mainland.
The ship had approached the dock, and Eva grabbed a purse of money. With that, she opened the door to her airship and stepped onto the dock.

By the time Lerylia's ship reached its destination, she figured out how to synthesize more of the medicine. As soon as her feet touched solid ground, she began running to the horse she borrowed from the townsman. She had to be fast, time for the children was limited. She arrived at her province and immediately begun treating them.((It's a land that basically belongs to the Trescyans and Erylisins))

Eva's boots clunked onto the wood of the deck. She stood up straight and tried to look proud. It ended up just not being a smile. She tied up her boat to the peg at the dock, trying not to make it look like she did it so often, just in case someone saw her. She continued to walk across the pier and onto the island. There was a short beachy area, and another dock for larger cargo ships. The main city looked a lot livelier than Sceptra. They probably weren't infected.

"You have heard of what has been going on in other cities?" The old man asked with not a smile nor a frown. He sipped some wine, put it down, and scratched his chin in thought while looking up at the ceiling. "Entire lands have been completely infected and driven to total inhabitation. What could have caused it do you suppose?" War was sure to come about, and in more reasons than one. It would be best to be prepared and have definite answers. Morilineth knew he would have to guide ships through the night, using the sky as a map. But he wanted to be ready.

While Lerylia was working, she realized this infection was worse than what it led on to be. It was spreading like wildfire and she would have to put her theiving career on hold and help her people. Lerylia realized that more and more this illness was acting more like a virus. The medicine she was given could only treat the symptons effecively, not cure the people. When she had the time, she wrote a letter to Arya in an ancient Erylisin dialect that only somebody as refined as him would understand. It read, "This infection that's happenening is a virus. I believe I can help your chief pharmacist develop a vaccine, so that we may completly be rid of it." From your substitute doctor. She snuck it into an official mail that would be headed straight for his palace. Lerylia hoped that it would reach him. They both didn't want this illness to be spreading mass paranoia and war.

"Yes, I fear the same for Sceptra." Arya said, he finished his drink and patted Morilineth on the back. "Im going to bed, this day has been long." Arya stretched and went into his chambers. "Goodnight." Arya dressed himself into freshly washed silk pants and slipped into his bed. He closed his eyes and fell asleep.
