Maybe I'm a bit biased of Minnesota sports, but I'd look for Maroney to have a break out season. He's a good running back that people probably gameplan around only a little.

I hope to see him get more then 10 ccarries he had in week 1, maybe around 20 or 25. That should be more likely now that Tom Brady is out.

That will probably never happen in New England, under Bellichick. The Patriots have Maroney, Morris, Jordan, and even Kevin Faulk getting a lot of receptions out of the backfield. I doubt there will ever be a game in the near future when one gets over 20 touches.

lol, I think it's best if I just lock or delete this topic...

Please just stick to the Tom Brady injury, everybody. Stop praising me, or cursing out others. wink

...can we curse out ourselves?

Going back to a prehistoric post as far as this topic is concerned, Boston Somethingorother said "stoopid 11yrs olds that shouldnt be on gaia!!!1!!1," I just remembered being one of them a few years back, haha. Damn, 3 years. That's crazy.

On to something more relevant! Judging by how the Pat's have layed, getting blown out by Miami and San Diego, I think that the Patriots will barely clinch wild card, or miss the play-offs entirely. The latter more likely. Brady is irreplaceable, and this team has lost a lot on defense since last year too, so when your team falls apart so rapidly, and you start to lose games, you lose confidence, and then you lose even more games. I say this with all due respect, Patriots fans...you're in for a long season.

I really don't like the Patriots, but they seem to be doing well.
As much I hate saying this, hope he gets well.

Although I dislike Tom Brady for being overrated(from MY point of view) Im really sorry that he got into that injury, because he was supposed to play against the steelers(if you didnt guess by now, Im a steeler fan), and I wanted the steelers to win with Brady on the field.

The so called "genius" Bellichick is now showing who he is really, yeah sure, he was called a genius because he won every game, but that was because he had an obvious game plan that no one ever saw through, what gives the most yards?? passing(specially with Brady and his receivers), they blitz me?? Short passes to the sides and SOMETIMES run the ball(again, great receivers), we are in 4th and short? geez why kick(either punt or FG) the ball? lets run it with Maroney, hes so damn powerful. But then the Giants came up and said, hey, why dont we take Brady out with uncommon blitzes? going 1 on 1 in the scrimmage line to have a better coverage and etc etc.

Brady may be overrated in the eyes of many, but the common denominator that we all have to understand is that he is a great QB that knows how to win games and find success. Bellichick is one of the greatest coaches in NFL history, yes history, and shows it, by being able to win without Brady.

Yeah, just go ahead and lock this.. It's just getting into personal opinions about Brady. Not about his skill.

I was thinking about locking this for a while, but I think I'll just start by erasing the swear in the title first...
