"Ah well, that's too bad. Might I extend an invitation to you then? Or shall it be the offer of scanning the area every now and then for the imp thing?" It really wasn't right for her to creep in on such personal territory, and Toulouse seemed not one to tread on someone else's.
"Well, it is getting late." Fumei figured out loud, patting her egg. It was a strange meeting between teenagers, with nothing to say to each other. And yet, she was content. "Would you like a ride or more s'mores or anything?" It was really all she could offer him. Besides, it was still a nice peaceful night.
When she looked over Toulouse as he sighed, she couldn't help but relate to him. However, she felt luckier in one more aspect: she didn't feel her burdens as often she as needed to.

“No, no. Thank you though.” Toulouse replied standing up. He had grabbed his shirt where he had left it, feeling that the fabric was still wet. He wasn’t going to be putting that back on. “I really better be going. It’s getting to be a little to late for my tastes. I appreciate that you talked with me and shared what you had.” Toulouse smiled at Fumei, slipping back into his strewn boots.
Picking his way around the fire, he went to stand next to Fumei for a moment, feeling an odd tightness in his chest. The feeling wasn’t because he was parting ways with the girl either. It seemed that her prediction about him catching a cold was coming true.
“Don’t bother looking for Rukh. He’s long gone by now. It was stupid of me to chase after him like I did.” Toulouse looked down at Fumei and B’Elanna for a moment, then patted the little girl on the shoulder in a friendly manner. “I guess I’ll see you around then?” He asked
Not expecting that he would see the girl or her egg again, Toulouse gave a final wave and trotted off into the night with no purpose other than to go home.
