She giggled. "Are those the green sprouty things that are the size of large walnuts?" She asked, tilting her head. She was thinking of brussle sprouts specifically. "My human does have some good things she has made. I like this 'pork' thing she made once." She pondered what he said about aquatic shelled things. "Oh! So like... Wally and Peridot?" Swing and a miss. "Please show me the ones you have. I'm curious to see! I suppose I won't mind getting a little dirty. I like to see and learn new things. I sort of feel like I'm missing out on a lot... I just..." She shuddered thinking about getting dirt on her. "Don't care for dirt, you know?" She looked up, seeing they were now practically on the doorstep of Khami's house. Just in time! As the wind picked up a little, Juillet shivered and leaned a little closer to Khami as te sky darkened with the clouds for a moment.

"Ohhhh brussel sprouts! No I was talking about the small round ones....I don't like those! I'm not too fond of the texture..." He laughed. There wasn't many foods that Khami didn't like but sprouts and olives he couldn't stand. "I'm unsure if they are like them!" he chuckled. "But! i can show you what they look like." Khami stopped walking, leaned forward and started to draw in the sand with his claw just outside the door. "This is what they look like...well something like that!" Even though Khami was a great artist at heart he tended not to brag about it. It was more of a hidden talent he didn't let many know about.
He looked up at her with a smirk. "Who are Wally and Peridot anyway?" he tilted his head to the side wondering if she mentioned them before and he had forgotten.

She giggled a little. "I don't think I've had peas before. Maybe that's good though." As he drew, she watched intently. "Clams?" She cocked her head side to side looking at the drawing. "So you have old dead ones?" The smile never left Juillet's face. "That is what a fossil is, right?" She shook herself a little as the clouds moved back away from the sun for a little while. "Really really old ones right? Cause that's awesome!"
When he asked about Wally and Peridot, she thought a moment. "Well... they're like us. Only they have shells. Like a turtle. Peridot is Wally's daughter. Cute little turtle girl, but too much energy. Loves to play in the mud sadly. But whatever. You should come over some time, and I'll introduce you to Peridot." She nodded. "That is, if you want to come over sometime." The sun slipped behind the clouds again. Juillet wondered if a storm was coming.

"Well they are more like snails...they have like swirly shells like this." He drew some more. "I have a few rocks with them in it...yeah they are defiantly OLD...thousands of years old actually" He smiled up at her as a dark cloud creeped over head. "Aaaa like turtles! that's really cool. I haven't met any turtle demons yet." Khami was really interested in meeting them. A couple rain drop hit his nose.
"Maybe we should go inside...it looks like it might rain." He said I bit disappointed. But then again they had a pie to bake so they would be inside anyway.
He opened the specially made door and walked in to the small porch. A few boots and shoes were knocked over. "Guess no ones home..." He sniffed to see if he could smell anyone. Khami had a very good nose even for a small one. "Hmmmmm....lets check out the kitchen and see if we can find a cook book...Pan has one here somewhere" He bounded into the large kitchen.

Juillet was a little slower going in through the door. It seemed strange. Her human had a very open house, so things like this weren't needed. Though maybe with the approaching cold...
A drop of rain hit her nose and she went in as well. "You think we can make it ourselves? I thought that we would need those 'thumb' things that humans have. My human uses them a lot... Not that I'm not willing to try though!" She said quickly. Juillet didn't want him to think she was trying to weasel out of it. Baking a pie sounded like a challenge- one she would take head on.

"Hmmm you do have a point.. maybe we would do need the human thumbs." he looked down at his paws. "Well since we can't kneed the dough properly maybe we can do something else?" He looked around then spotted the container.
"You can pick something...I'm up for anything right now...want a cookie?" He peered thought one of the living room windows at the rain. "Guess outside is a no." He laughed. "Sooo what kind of stuff do you do for fun?" He decided to ask her the same as she did.

She tilted her head to the side when he offered the cookie. "Depends on the kind. Do you have those little frosted oatmeal ones?" She had a weak spot for those. She had to think for a moment about what she did for fun. She hadn't really thought about it. It felt like every day had been different. With the people she's met and the things she's done. "I don't know." She said honestly. "I do lots of things. I've found that I can sharpen and groom my claws and make works of art at the same time. My human called it 'carving' and it's lots of fun." She was a little disappointed that Khami's human here. She wanted to meet him. Or her. She couldn't remember who Khami said his human was, and she wanted to try that pie thing. "I did enjoy playing that hiding game. Oh what was it called..." She pondered a moment. "Hide and seek?"

Khami laughed. "I don't think they are the cookies you're hoping for but these are really good none the less." He bit into one. Muffled as he he spoke "Chocolate chip oatmeal they are" He smiled.
"Oh you can carve!" he was excited that she was also artistic. He was never no good at carving. Pan did it one time at the college she went to so she showed him how to do it. Too much patience involved which he didn't really have. "You'll have to show me some of your work at some point." he finished the rest of the cookie in one bite.
"I can't say I really had a good game of hide and seek." he thought hard. "Nope! I never had anyone to play with much when I was younger...but this one girl that I met...she wanted to be a warrior." He laughed at remembering Sorcha. He never seen that ball of energy of a demon in years. He tried not to show how much he did care for her. She just disappeared.

Juillet was sold on hearing the cookies were still oatmeal. They were sure to be delicious! "Well, I will try one, since you seem to like them." She didn't catch the slight inflection of affection when he spoke of a girl from a long time ago. She munched on the cookie when he spoke of her and about his human carving one time. "You'll have to come over and see what I do then." She smiled at him, hoping he picked up that it was an invitation. "Do you do any form of art? Other then drawing in sand that is."

"I'd be delight to come over." He piped a bit too quick. he wondered if she picked up on how eager it sounded.
"I paint mostly...I love it!" he gestured to his painting studio across the hall. "Would you like to see some of my paintings?" What he liked most about painting was that he could be so creative...he mostly paint landscapes....sometimes his dreams if they were vivid enough to remember. He wondered if sometimes if his dreams were visions of his demon life before he was summoned...if so it scared him. Some of the images were pure evil looking and he wasn't like that. Not one bit.

A slow smile graced her lips. She picked up the eagerness in his reply. "We'll have to arrange a time for you to visit then." Her little tail twitched a little eagerly, the flowers tied about it gently rustling with the happy movement.
"My human paints too. I wonder if you're better then her. I'd really like to see, if you don't mind showing me. It's nice to meet another creative spirit. Perhaps we can learn from each other some new techniques." She looked to the studio he motioned too, and took a half step towards it. "May we?"

((wow 3 pages! didn't even notice xD))
"Sure I'm up for that!" He gleamed. He never had any one really to keep him company when he painted. The thought of teaching and learning from each other made him happy.
"This way to my studio." he was still smiling. The room was a fair size, a bit unkempt but nothing not to be expected for a painting studio. There was a large window facing the door, that being the main source of light. Khami had a large lamp set up for when it was dark but he mostly painted in the natural light from the window. Random landscape paintings were laid around on tabletops. Other canvases were waiting to be painted on.
"This is it! And this is my easel." he walked over to it. "Pan had her father make me one to suit my height." He cheerfully spoke. He wondered if he should turn the light on since it was fairly dull in the room. A slap of thunder rumbled over head.

She took in the room, looking all around. Each of the paintings. Some of them were really good. Others might have been his earlier work, not quite as skillful as others. "You painted these? Do yo go out to paint them? Or are they from memory?" She asked, sniffing one of the canvases a little. "They're really pretty." She took a few steps back and sat beside Khami. "What are you going to paint next?" Her eyes went to the window as the sky lit up.

"Thank you!" He smiled. "Sometimes I go out..." He thought. "But mostly I paint here from memory." Khami did enjoy going out to paint but he found it difficult to transport all his supplies. "I'm not sure what to do next..."
The room lit up with lightning. Another slap of thunder shook the small building and rain pelted down. "Getting nasty outside..." Khami peered outside. "Very strange to have a storm like this this late in the year" he walked back over next to Juli to flick the lights on but they refused to turn on. "Guess the power is gone." Hail tinked off the window.

"I don't care for storms like this." She sighed, looking out the window while he tried the lights. "I hope your human makes it home safely. But I guess with the power out, we won't be able to bake that pie, right?" That was a sad thought. She did want to try pie. "Well, maybe you could paint while we wait? Or is the light to dim. Because I would love to see what you could do." It wasn't about the end product of painting, or of any art for that matter, but the process of it was always amazing.
(Should we wrap this up with skipping past the storm?)
