Bhutas Hikari Tokoyami Ah, as in a person who is loved by all and is somehow perfect... burning_eyes Yup, I know those. Completely wrecks the story in every shape and form. Prefect example in real day text: Bella Swan from Twilight. God that books...NURG! Sorry it anyone likes the series but... NURG! *hugs* Finally another Twilight hater. I read the whole book and I got so bored from it. I can only stand fanfics (ZxC and other couples of course) since the last time I sat down and read a good book was the 7th book of Harry Potter.

I kinda stopped reading fanfictions for a little while just because I am writing my own and I don't want to be pulled away. But I began reading a Harry Potter fic so it's all good. I mostly ready some fantasy books I snag from Sephiroth's library.

I love you. I hate Twilight! I don't like Meyer's portrayal of vampires...in my opinion, she put Bram Stoker's fabulous creatures to shame, big time. Ewwwww, a teenage fling book! "True love" my butt.

*hugs Bishie in union of Twilight haters*
I think I almost want to burn the book (borrowed from library) when I read the part where he glitters in the light... burning_eyes I could go on but I'll just stop to that.

I only read the first chapter and didn't bother to go on. And then I have two friends who read it and were all like, "You'd love it if you'd just read it!" It's really annoying, especially when my moto for reading books is "if I don't like the first chapter, I don't bother with the rest". It's been that way since I started to learn how to read and write and it will never change.
The first chapter of the book was boring, and what's this about 'true love' in a teenage fling? That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard.

Somehow novels these days got chapters in the beginning being boring---besides Harry Potter *shots*. That's why I usually read a few pages of some chapters. Like from chapter 1 all to mid chapter 2 sometimes. But for Twilight, after I hearing classmates talking about it, I wanted to know what's so good about it. Even my friend who I saw as a sister said it was good (until later she turn from a lover to a hater of Twilight series) making me even more curious.
Honestly through out that whole book, I kept asking myself how the heck is this story good until the end I was like, at least I actually read a book instead of fanfiction. Won't my parent be proud

Agreed! The sun is a danger to vampires in every other book or movie I have seen or read. And now it makes them sparkle? To me it sounds like Meyer is trying to make the life of a vampire sound glamourous and pretty.
Ugh, I could rant but I won't. ><

*sighs* If only the series ended like thisThere are some things people say like how her books is like Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet (I don't believe it) and how the author is the next JK Rowling (WHAT?!) Honestly, I find that very insulting

Okay, okay! I have a story!
I was in Chapters the other day and there were piles and piles of Twilight books EVERYWHERE. (And yet they did not have the new Darren Shan book in stock.....but that's another tale.)
So I saw these two girls looking at the Twilight books.
One of them said, "So I heard this was supposed to be the new Harry Potter!"
The other one picked up Twilight and started reading the back. When she was done she bashed it to the floor.
"Are you ******** kidding me!? This is a ******** piece of s**t!!"
I nearly peed myself from laughing so hard. xD
And if anyone wants a good vampire read, I thought the Darren Shan Saga was amazing. @_@ Which is why I was angry when the new book for his other series was not in because of....*vomit*...TWILIGHT. I also recommend Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles. 8D

I can't legally say they're horrbile books and that your daughter shouldn't read them.... but I can't and I have to show them to the section while smiling D: Sometimes I hate working in a bookstore... SOMETIMEs. xD

I am so sorry for you. D8 Truly I am! These might cheer you up. My anti-Twilight friend showed them to me and I nearly pissed myself laughing. I am actually tempted to read the book again just so I can say "OMG LOLZ JUST LIKE IN THE REVIEW ROFL ROFL." Twilight: The Rant of a Review!Bad Book MonthIn the second one, the author writes a parody of Twilight, but it is so scarily similar to the actual book that it's not even funny. The author said that she tried, but it was really hard to make the book seem stupider than it is. Again, I nearly peed myself while reading. xD Hope you all enjoy!

The thread suddenly turned into an Anti-Twilight hang out, not that I mind Twilight Trailer SpoofIf the series was like that then maybe I would've reconsidered
