not much to report. Corn is growing big and the cucumbers and beans are vining. The peas are almost dead but still producing flowers. We need rain. Look how brown and dead that grass is.

Don't give up on the peas---if you can keep the soil cool, you'll get more in the fall. Not like the early harvest, but some.

Update, please, when you have the time? I can live without the pictures if there's not time, just wondering how things are growing!

Most recent image taken on the 17th AND here's a harvest pic. I'm still getting green beans even though the plants appear half dead. The dried brown stuff is my black eyed peas. huzzah for lots of dried beans! AND I has corn. <3

Woo! Your garden looks very pretty ^^ I'm just enjoying the fact that my/my mom's garden is still alive xd We've gotten one undergrown zucchini, one bird-eaten tomato, and there is one softball-sized watermelon. The heat really stripped everything. My eggplants are flowering now, though!
And I still have garden fresh produce because my friend Amanda randomly came up with a few huge bags of produce that her big garden put off at the last minute before she went back to school xd

So good to see a garden this time of year! I'm usually ready for a break from mine by now, but I have really missed it. Looks good, Onicoe! Thanks for the update! biggrin

Nothing interesting to take a picture of but here's the veggie haul that I picked after almost 2 weeks of neglect. Oh I love my veggies. <3

Just two. The ones in the wood basket are lemon cucumbers. They look like striped lemons but are really cucumbers. I heart them.

Did you plant anything where your peas were? It would be a great spot for nitrogen loving plants like garlic or tomatoes later because peas, any kind, are a cover crop and are wonderful at putting nitrogen back in the ground after your other plants consume it. Rotation is a wonderful thing.

That was a nice garden. Mine didn't fair so well. I have to wait for a whole year (or at least late in the season) to use it again, the soil is infected with a virus so we have to put black plastic on top and let it cook for 6 weeks next year.
