She slowly floated up to the surface and broke through the top of the waves to watch him get into the water. He seemed to just like the sand when he walked or stepped on it. She personally didn’t think it to interesting. But he seemed like the kind of ulaya that enjoyed questions and the odd things in life. And on that note, he probably would open his eyes underwater even after her warnings. She had never experienced the feeling of opening her eyes underwater, but again, she would not have a floating brain. Sighing, she swam in closer to him, just incase he did decide, some time in this decade, to get into the water.

He looked up and noticed she had made her way closer to him. Was she watching him? He felt rather embarrassed that he was doing what he always did. He didn't mean to be odd. Quickly... he walked forwards into the water but not very deep. Cold rush of water went around his legs, and that almost made him want to get out, but instead he just took a few more steps forward. "nice!' he lied.

Even from this distance she could tell that he didn’t like that the water was cold. She smiled and yelled back to him, “You don’t have to come in if you don’t want to! Stay on shore if you want!” She didn’t want to force him to do something that he probably didn’t want to do anymore. Paddling her way back towards him she put a big smile on her face and called out to him, “Let’s get out okay?”

"No no! It's quite alright. This is interesting." He said, which wasn't a lie. He didn't like the coldness, but he didn't mind the way it moved. So different. When he looked out to the water, it was like it was endless. What was out there... How deep was it? So many questions filled his tiny head, but who would answer them. He sure wasn't going to. He didn't even notice that the female was now right next to him. "oh... We don't have to if you don't want to leave" He replied but continued to stand still.

A critical eye moved over his form. "I could help you get used to it. See, since you have been standing here for so long, your feet should be used to the temperature. Your body gets used to it after a while." She said smiling. She was dripping and the wind that was blowing over the water made her shiver. The waves were moving against her as she moved out into the water again.

He still wasn't sure about actually swimming in the stuff. The urge to see what was under it was still very strong in him. And if the sand hurt his eyes, he was sure the water would to. but he didn't know for sure. Perhaps testing it a little bit would work. "I... I guess.." He moved a bit more, the water seemed cold, but not as cold, except for the part that had just entered the water. His tail was floating in the water bhind him. Half his hair wet, half dry, but slowly getting wet.

Her bangs were sticking to her forehead and her ears were dripping, little droplets falling into the water. The wind blew, ruffling what I could of her fur, and making her head much colder than it normally was. But she waited for her new friend, who seemed to be taking his dear sweet time getting into the water, and she blew on her bangs, trying to get them out of her face; water was getting in her eyes causing them to burn. The waves were moving towards her and when they got to her pink form, she merely floated above them, and she wondered how he was dealing with it.

He still didn't know what to do about the whole water thing. He still debating if he should open his eyes or not. Finally, when he actually got the water in his mouth, he spit it out. It was nasty stuff. Not like fresh water. He gave a funny face, and decided it probably wouldn't be sanitary to open his eyes under water. "Nasty stuff" He said as he swam to where she was. Now fulling submerged except his head. Ears back as he tried to keep afloat. His fur was quite heavy after all.

She nodded, her chin hitting the water, which ended up feeling very funny. He had finally made it ot her and he didn’t look to be having as much fun as she was having. How to make this more fun? A game! “Want to play a game; we can go into the shallow water if you want?” She asked, wondering if he would be one of those Ulaya that liked the water, or if he would just take one dip and then stay far away from it.

It wasn't that he didn't like water, he loved it. It was just new and strange water that got to him. And the fact it was colder then anything he'd ever been in. "What game?" He said as he tried to keep himself up in one spot. It was hard when you couldn't touch the ground. "But a game would be lovely."

The waves were coming in much more often and a lot harder than before and she quickly decided that getting to shallower water was a good idea. “How about we go back to shallower water and I can explain it to you there?” That way they would be able talk without drinking in half of the ocean. Unless he wanted to stay out in the open water, then either would be fine to her, her body had finally become fully accustomed to the temperature of the water.

He followed. He wasn't real sure about what they were about to play, but he was more then happy to go back to where he could touch the sand that he hated. Though he found out that he liked wet sand, it was harder to fling into your eyes. Plus, it was easier to walk on. Though still not his favorite thing to stand on. He'd get use to it though. "So what's the game plan."
