I'm sure the evil run will be a lot of fun as well. pirate

I find the three power sets thus far are in a progression from power to speed. Smoke is all about overpowering the enemy with minor abilities to move about. Neon allows far faster travel and precision. far less mass destruction options, but not in a way that is a problem. The final power is video, where you get the fastest forms of travel, but instead of attacks you gain abilities to go invisible for short periods and summon decoy angels. I am a big fan of the Neon. For the second run of evil I am not sure if it will remain, or if Smoke will be my burner of choice. I have little else to talk about, I fear . . . so you will be kept in the loop. sweatdrop

That's actually a very interesting progression considering most games would do the opposite.

And concrete is all power and no speed on that scale, I assume, and thus the first power you acquire?

EDIT: Just read your post in the other thread.

You fight the final boss- a powered woman that is the source for concrete ability. After defeating her, you get her power . . . and then she summons up a giant concrete "golem" of sorts to fight, only harmed by concrete power. Thus, you get the power to take out the final enemy of the storyline, and then can screw around the city with it. I wish it was available sooner.

Oh, I see, so it's the boss's convenient power. The Infamous series feels kind of like Mega Man in terms of power acquisition.

It certainly does for this game. Having restarted, they describe the "conduits" as people that have the ability to control and weaponize a specific form of matter. Infamous had Cole doing that with electricity. In Infamous 2, he used a large machine designed to force normal people to be conduits to attain one other power. Of course, that was part of the morality system- you had to choose fire (evil), or ice (good). They were mutually exclusive. In this game, you deal with three conduits, the first gives you ash/smoke in the beginning. You later chase down a girl using neon, Then comes a gamer with 'video' before the final boss of the storyline with concrete.

Oh, so you start w/ a different power based on your initial morality choice. Interesting...

Ah, yes, I saw that one. Goku wins in my opinion.

Alas no. You get smoke from the beginning- and aside from the reaction of the people around you, and the CG ending sequence, there is no real difference between the two paths. Some powers, yeah. Also, the color of the powers is more blue for good karma, and red for evil.

For instance the power of Video is centered on a fictional game called "Heaven's Hellfire" wherein the one with the power of video is a game nerd. He can summon forth angels and demons at will out of video screens. When you copy his power, one ability is to turn invisible. Good karma allows you to stay invisible longer, subdue enemies without breaking the invisibility, and eventually summon up an angel to fly around as a distraction. Evil karma summons up to three demons that fly around and attack your foes even once you are visible again. None of the summoned creations are very durable or last long, but they are a nice touch.

Oh, I get it now. Flavoring each power is a nice touch.

That is a staple of the Infamous games, subtle visual changes depending on karma.

Not sure what to discuss now that I am done with my game. sweatdrop

Welp, regalia is ordered. That, and business cards to pass out for networking purposes.

Oh, I see.

Not sure either... I found out about a good job opportunity w/ a friend of mine. He used to do contract work for the company, and they've hired him as a manager now. He gets to assemble (hand pick) a team to work with him.

Good to hear!

Heh, not what you know, but who you know, ne? razz I need to hit up the Career Center in my school and start seeing if they can help me.

Kind of at a loss of what to do with my time soon. My RP is moving very slowly, I don't feel a draw by any of my games at the moment, and school is almost over. sweatdrop

I'm a strong believer in meritocracy, but I can't deny the way the business world currently is (even if I despise it). If I ever end up in a leadership position of any kind (manager, etc...), I will incorporate as many meritocratic tenants as possible.

My school's job-helping program is okay, but they just established it. There are no openings in CT, so it's useless to me.
Still, I'm sure yours can help you since you're not tied to living in any specific location.

Have any new anime piqued your interest?
Alternatively, we could try to set up an RP here. I think Kitsune would join in, so that's 3 players at least. RP might liven the place up some.
