"I do, too," Hanabi said to Yuzuki. She felt that Travis wasn't saying the 100% complete truth. Then she said, "Well, I should go-" She stopped as she felt her blood thirst starting to grow again. s**t! Not now! she thought to herself.

"What's wrong?" She watched helplessly as Hanabi's face grew pale.

"I'm... thirsty..." Hanabi said. Her lunch had satisfied her to the end of the school day, but the thirst has returned.
A kid was walking by, heading home.
Hanabi saw the kid. She tried to look away, but her eyes were glued to the kid's neck.

"Hanabi!" Yuzuki grabbed her and pulled her into the woods. "I know you're thirsty, but you can ease your thirst feeding on the animals in the woods. You can't attack people, Hanabi, you'll hate yourself for it."

Hanabi let herself get dragged away, fighting the urge to attack the kid.

Yuzuki looked around frantically looking for something easy to catch. Seeing a squirrel she snatched it and held it toward Hanabi.

Hanabi took the squirrel and then bit down into it. She let the blood rush into her mouth. It really helped. She continued drinking until the squirrel had no blood left. When she was done, she gently placed the squirrel down on the ground, a bit upset that she had to do that. She wiped the blood of her mouth with the back of her hand.

Yuzuki grimanced at the corpse. She wasn't usually faced with such an easily identified corpse. when she was done it was usually a pile of bones, but she figured finishing off the wasted meal wasn't the best idea in front of the sensitive Hanabi. "Better a squirrel then a classmate, right?" At least that's how she usually coped with killing animals.
