That's for the best. xd

So are the effects of this cthulian biogenesis power real or an illusion/enchantment?

Oh, i was just thinking psionic, not physical. the point is to make people question sanity or at least reality in the moment. A distraction to draw attention. When I told my friends they asked what hentai I was watching! xd Bets were evidently laid between Bible Black and Urotokudoji.

I'm too accustomed to the usage of "psionic" in tabletopping, where's it's just an alternate magic system and thus as fake/real as magic.

Definitely a good idea, though; eldritch horror is very effective at unsettling people.

I've heard of BB, though the primary visual instantly cued me as to what kind of content it contained. Thus, I've avoided it. xp

Yes, both the hentai titles I mentioned are well known for being both horror and porn simultaniously. Not good titles, in my opinion. Just the extreme of the genre.

Yes, the eldrich was the inspiration. Watching Killer Instinct gameplay, the skeletal character named Spinal carries a shield with an octopus-like head. The typical visage of Cthulu, the tentacles constantly writhe. Wooden extentions of the shield that do no damage, but do move of their own accord. I liked the idea, and thought "What if anything a character touched did that? Not to damage or manipulate anything- just to be creepy?!"

Psionics are indeed treated as a different form of magic by most systems. Honestly, I am not sure what else they could be considered as. Just a different school of powers. Not so much fake vs real . . . just different. Divination is different from summoning, Elemental is different from necromancy. Magic is different from psionics.

Oh yeah, I've seen Spinal in some trailers.

Well, I was more speaking of some systems that almost literally equate the 2 in that both can access all the traditional schools of magic. Personally, I prefer the distinction as you mention, where some schools are exclusive to each or just more difficult or have less variety when using.

Spinal Trailer
Here was his reveal trailer, and I enjoyed the theatrics. Though I stink at fighting games, this one I found to be very fun to watch.

One magic system I liked was the bit in Palladium Fantasy. True, the mages have access to pretty much most magics, but there was also separate holy magics, and elemental magics. Of the latter, magic users were able to use not only the element- but the absence of it. Ice spells belonged to a Fire Warlock. That was most interesting!

That trailer oozed atmosphere! It makes me want to play KI more now.

Yes, Palladium has a really unique system. I have the 1st edition core rulebook, and it's a great read. Their views on deities, angels/demons, religions, and immortality are also quite interesting.

Fulgore
As teased at the end of the Spinal Trailer, here is the one for the final character released for the Xbox One . . . Fulgore.

I still appreciate the BESM system for it's simplicity. With emphasis on role playing instead of roll playing, it put far more into what i love about the games. The interaction, the back and forth. Many on Gaia tout my abilities, but they are not nearly half as good as others think. I don't have the writing chops to do this on my own, but interacting with others keeps it all fresh and fun as all get-out.

To be completely honest, this is what I was expecting given his name.

BESM is the only GURPS-ish system I'm at all interested in.
Yeah, there's a difference between writing in a vaccuum and roleplaying.

I lasted 47 seconds . . . then the madness had to stop.

I recognize Zatch Bell as the anime, but that was just horrifying. o_o

Just got done watching Fate Zero. Must. Watch. More!!!

Sorry if that actually hurt you inside.
Zatch Bell is a strange anime indeed. I originally saw the English dub ~10 years ago, in which Folgore's song had all objectionable content removed. A few years ago I stumbled upon the show subbed and quickly discovered just how much had been cut from the American release.

Are you a fan of Gen Urobochi (the writer, who also wrote Puella Magi Madoka Magica [also know as Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica]), Type-Moon (creators of the Fate franchise), or just Fate/Zero?
If Gen, I highly recommend Puella Magi.
If Type-Moon, Fate/Stay Night, the sequel series, was mad many years before Fate/Zero, and a remake of Fate/Stay Night is upcoming from the same studio that animated Fate/Zero.
If just Fate/Zero, then I wouldn't know what to recommend until I know what exactly you liked about it so much.

I wasn't hurt, just watched it until my brain said "That's enough." sweatdrop

Concerning Fate: Zero, I liked pretty much all of it. My particular interest was in summoning up epic heroes as servant fighters. With minimal effort, I have managed to find Fate: Stay Night, the (chronologically) next series. I can see the massive difference in tone between the last and this one, but that does not negate the fun of Stay Night. What I am wondering is if Saber will bring up the last Grail War, since she not only participated . . . but worked with her next master's father.

That, and curious . . . where is Gilgamesh? He has a body now.

Yeah, it is a really neat idea. I also love Type-Moon's Reality Marbles. While other works of fiction have featured similar concepts before, they really nail them down and make them very interesting across all of their franchises (which all take place in the same universe, hence why they share such concepts as Reality Marbles).

All of the Fate things were visual novel fighting game hybrids before they became anime. Since Saty Night came before Zero, many details in it concerning Emiya's father and the last Grail War are shrouded in mystery. Gilgamesh showing up is a huge surprise in Stay Night, as is the priest's evil-ness. Of course, since you've seen Zero, both of those are beyond obvious (aka: Zero was made directed at fans of Stay Night, so going backward means there will be almost no mystery to it).

The new Stay Night (should be coming in roughly a year or less) will have a tone more in line w/ Zero.

Interesting . . . I do not mind the lack of "surprises." The story is what gets my attention. Seeing where the story goes is it's own reward.

More can be better, and the humor aspect is nice. Fate Zero is very grimdark about things. Zero makes the same situation a bit more fun. even may daughter thinks so. By the way, my older daughter is finally on Gaia.

Let's see if this gets her attention.

Then I'm sure you'll like Stay Night just fine. I happen to prefer it to Zero, myself. This is due to my preference for both SN's content and tone.

Wow, it must be crazy to you how time flies w/ your older daughter now being on Gaia, huh? So I take it she's joined the RPR?
