*evenutally they come upon seven odd creatures that look like they were the product of misplaced love between an ox, an eagle, and a dog. they immediately turn and look at the trouppe before standing on four grossly mutated legs each and snarled at them.*

At the sound, Radergeist suddenly awoke from his half-dream of past glories. The creatures were large, and outnumbered the party, and looked extremely agressive. THey appeared to have been fighting over strips from a carcass, soemthing hairy and human-sized that they had allready mutilated somewhat. Radergeist stopped walking. They were nearest to him. He nudged everyone's minds look over there, and began to warm the air between his hands, building up a fireball.

THey appeared to have been fighting over strips from a carcass, soemthing hairy and human-sized that they had allready mutilated somewhat. Radergeist stopped walking. They were nearest to him. He nudged everyone's minds look over there, and began to warm the air between his hands, building up a fireball. *he suddenly feels a tug at his sleeve* b-big brother...? is that you...? why did you stop singing...? *she had released Nienna's hand and struggled her way over to him. now she clung to his arm, trembling slightly* b-big brother, i'm scared....

He nudged everyone's minds look over there, and began to warm the air between his hands, building up a fireball. *he suddenly feels a tug at his sleeve* b-big brother...? is that you...? why did you stop singing...? *she had released Nienna's hand and struggled her way over to him. now she clung to his arm, trembling slightly* b-big brother, i'm scared.... *He had heard the animals fighting over their meal before they ever came into view. When Feather ran over to Radergeist, he started towards them, and in the blink of an eye, he stood before Radergeist and Feather.* "If you don't mind...I'll take care of these vermin..." *He with that said, he sprinted forward in a blur, and before anyone could react, he stopped before one of the creatures and punched downward. The blow struck the creature on the crown of it's head, and drove his fist straight through the creature's skull and into the earth, creating a shockwave that had the surrounding beasts stumble. He stood up, pulling his gauntlet from the creature's now-hollowed skull, and by then, the monsters sprung at him. He high-kicked one, sending it several dozen feet into the air, and finally plummeted to the ground again, landing in a crumbled heap between him and everyone else.*

"It's all right, little sister," said Radergeist, soothingly, as if there were nothing wrong. "We're just clearing the path. It's blocked." He released the fireball. There was no light, no fistful of flame, just a sort of rippling pattern like the air above hot tarmac. It shot from his hands like a bolt, burning a hole through one of the creatures, which expired with a shrill sqeal of pain. The semlll of burnign flesh filled the air. He wondered if he had the energy for another, and deciding probably not, stepped between Featehr and the nearest creature, which was bounding towards them. He reached intot he creature's musculature, tearing aimlessly. The beast howled and roared but came on, blood streaming from one paw. "Little sister," said Radergeist. "Give me your hand."

Nienna looked down at Feather, "Do not worry Feather, I have no need to cry. And if I ever found the need to cry I would not want you to kill the thing that did it to me." They kept walking and now everyone was singing, Nienna did not want to seem boring and like a party pooper so she sang along with everyone else.
Nienna heard strange noises and looked up seeing the warped crossed animals. On some level this disgusted her but on another it intrigued her she wanted to know how they were created if someone had done it to them or if they naturally formed themselves. She felt Feather let go and saw her move towards Ragergeist. This consumed her with worry she did not know whether it was safe with him at this time. She had no choice but to let her be for there were things to attack to assist in protecting Feather. She started to power up a lightning ball and when it was completed she hurled it at one of the creatures pushing it back forcing it to bump into another creature blowing them both up. Pieces of the creatures flesh was pouring down all around them within the rain. "Lovely..."

*The remaining two monsters watched as their companions were slaughtered, then turned tail and fled. As he watched them run over the hill, he smiled, looked back at the other three, and said,* "Ehh...I'll be riiiiiiight back...Hehehehahahaaa."
*With that he vanished, and suddenly, on the other side of the hill, the three could hear, "TITAN FIST!!" and there was a brillant flash light and two earth shaking booms. A few seconds later, they could see him walking towards them over the hill, his right side almost completely covered in blood and gore, though his white teeth shown brightly through his wide smile.*

Nienna looked at him covered in blood and gore and smirked as she walked up to them. She could smell the blood on him and gently licked his cheek to taste the blood. "I take it you took care of them?" She said while backing off and going back towards Feather.

*Feather is clinging to Radergeist's arm and refuses to let go. she holds onto his hand with one hand and is grasping his forearm with her other one, burying her face in his shoulder. she was trembling.*

"It's all right Feather," said Radergeist, soothingly. "You can let go now." Take her, he mouthed to Nienna, and casting a totally blank look at his gore covered companion, crossed over to the human sized corpse the twisted creatures had been fighting over. Bending over it, he noticed the shaggy mane and long black claws, although the features were too hideosuly mutilated to be recogniseable. He saw the pointed teeth set in the man's jaw, and he knew.
"I know this man," he said, quietly. "But I do not know how he came to be here." He bent low over the corpse his nose almost touching the bloody remains.

She took Feahter's hand and tried to tell her not to be afraid and that the big mean beasties are gone and can't hurt her anymore.

Chibi_Gokua Nienna gladly went over to take Feather from him, although she did not know why he did not want her. On some level she was angry with him because she thought he thought she was annoying and that bothered her. MAMA!!! *hugs her tight around the middle, still trembling* mama, i don't feel good....*somehow, Nienna knew it wasn't a sickness that Feather was talking about. there was something definitely odd happening to Feather. before Nienna's eyes, Feather visibly shrank...she went from being 5'3" to being 4'6"....right then and there...it wasn't a pretty sight, either. there was a sickening sound, as if Feather's bones had been broken and she cried out and fell to the ground, writhing. another crack indicated her bones being forced back together, but in smaller form...her hands grew smaller, her legs shorter, her arms shorter, her face smaller, her breasts practically disappearing...she became even more childlike, physically resembling that of an eleven-year old child...she lay on the ground, once it was all over, crying.*

Radergeist felt magic happening behind him, as the woman's powers reshaped her body to fit her state of mind. He wondered briefly why she was like that, but at this moment Radergeist was more interested in the corpse of his friend. "Healer," he said, "come here. I need you to look at this body and tell me what you see."

Nienna couldn't stop staring at Feather's shrunkend body, "What the hell is happening to her Talon. Tell me at once...We need to get her help before she completely disappears."
