Cornelius nodded and walked over to her. He hugged and said, "Of course, we can wait. Only do this if you're really feeling up to this, otherwise, I can go into town by myself and come right back. I don't want you hurting yourself."

He sighed and rubbed her belly with his claw. It was so big now that he wondered how all of their children could fit inside it. He then proceeded to give out a warm snort and see if the children would react to the heat of his breath. Perhaps, they had grown to a state they could sense things now.

"We should probably go visit him," Cornelius stated as he rubbed Janis's belly with his claws. "I've been wondering for a while some things about your pregnancy like how long you might need to sit on the eggs once they're ready. I would hate to see you get a bruise or injury from that just because we did something improperly." He knew dragons had thick skin, but the eggs had a thick shell as well, so those two things mixing together might be painful.

He spread his wings and walked out of the house, "We should go ask him some things." Cornelius said as he caught an updraft and rose out of the canyon.

"I don't see him around here, but I hear him." Cornelius stated as he looked around the front empty portion of the cave. He walked in deeper when suddenly he was came face to face with the older dragon.

Samson stopped where he was and flexed his claws. "Sorry about the scrapping noise," he voiced, "I was just trying to make myself some breakfast and check up on you two. How are you and Janis today?"

Cornelius blinked as the dragon had nearly come out of the shadows and literally sneaked up on him without a good explanation, "Um, I think we're doing fine. We wanted to come here I think today to maybe ask if you'd like to go to town."

Samson scratched his chin with one of his claws and said, "Don't you think that's a little, unsafe for Janis. Transformation into her human form must be near difficult to impossible for her to do, besides, I doubt we have the kind of clothing we could make for her to wear for this trip. We'd probably have to ask her though."

Cornelius grabbed Samson and pulled him along towards Janis at the front of the cave saying, "Well, she's here with me, so let's talk with her."

"I'm fine," he stated as he addressed her, "I heard you wanted to go into town, but that you're maybe going to need to transform to do that."

He scratched his chin and started to pace around her inspecting all the contours of her body frame. "If you want to go to town I think you can, but it'll be hard to fit you into a proper dress. Just try transforming back into your human form now and I'll go get you something fast."

He walked out of the room for a moment and rummaged through a closet he had in his cave until he came upon an old dress. Bringing it out for Janis, he stated, "My wife wore this when she was seven months pregnant with our own child." He stated as he held the seemingly small thing up. It was small in dragon standards, at least, but very large by human standards.

"I'd rather not talk about the history behind the fun things I did with her, but I'll let you wear "her" clothes just this once." He handed the garment over to Janis and waited for her to attempt to transform. For the meantime, he ushered Cornelius out of the room and walked out himself so she could be alone.

Cornelius walked back into the room first and he was first to be surprised by the size of his wife's belly. She was bigger than he was expecting but he moved over to her, transformed into his human form, and rubbed her belly saying, "I don't mean to be rude, but this dress really makes our children stand out in a good way. We should show them off to the entire world."

He smiled at her and asked, "You don't think this is bad do you?"

Samson then came in and said, "I see my wife's dress and you match. You actually might nearly be the exact same size she was, which is good because I think I can give you more clothes then."

Cornelius hung onto her shoulder like a good husband would and said, "Are you hungry again?" A lot of the things he asked or did in life were rather simplistic to say the least, being a dragon, he only cared about food, his wife Janis, sleeping, and having fun. He really hated having to ask this question to her since he asked it a lot, but right now he could hear the sounds of his stomach gurgling again.

Anyway, Samson nodded to her and said, "They really mean a lot to me. My wife and I were going to have children one day, but then while I was gone she up and disappeared and I've never been able to find her, but I always thought she was kidnapped or moved on with a group of dragons somewhere." He did not want to go into more detail than this though because it was starting to bring up a wave of emotions that were making tears form in his eyes.

"If you insist," he voiced as he smiled back at her. He really was hungry and at times he had felt Janis had eaten better than him. Although, he naturally felt this was to be expected she was expecting after all.

Samson sighed and said, "I really hope so too. I should warn you about food, we dragons are quite big and the areas we can feed from are often quite small... I remember my wife saying, before she disappeared, that she was going to go outside of our normal hunting grounds to look for food. She went over a set of mountains to find this food and after that never came back."

He lowered his head and Cornelius's ears perked up, "Are you saying we should be careful and not overeat all the animals in our area?"

"Yes, since you have to share them with me too, and when you overeat them you just end up having to go further and further from home where people are less and less friendly than you'd expect. If she was here right now... I'd have had three little ones of my own, but by now of course, they'd probably have already grown up. I can just imagine them fighting over someone like Janis unfortunately, which might not have been good in your case Cornelius."

Cornelius let go of Janis's hand and realized that if there had been three other dragons in the area there definitely would have been getting trouble for Janis to marry him. Real female dragons were hard to come across these days, so a human like Janis would have been a perfect candidate for what he had done, transformed her.

Cornelius looked at Janis and said, "We should go..." He was starting to become jealous a bit of Samson's comments and the children he "would" have had. He was starting to wonder if he should help if, even though Janis might have wanted to more.
