Aradel slumped limply over the white lion's back, tears falling to the ground. He did his best to look at the lions that spoke, though he was now too weak to talk. "Mmm....."

Morani glanced back "Now, I said no talking. You just leave the rest up to ol' Morani n Malkia." he said and looked back forward "Oh, there we go." Malkia smiled "You'll be able to get plenty of rest here." she said and looked at their home. A large tree with strange markings all over the outside, no seeable enterance though. Rose looked up, her eyes barely open but they widend when she saw the tree.

Aradel could only nod. When the two white lions mentioned the tree, he just stared at it confused. No opening? How could they rest there? Under the tree most likely. He moved a little when one leg fell asleep, re adjusting himself.

Malkia looked up at Aradel "You looked puzzled. Just trust us. We've been living here for many years." she said, her eyes closed as she walked. Rose put her head back down, the two seemed like they knew what they were doing. Perhaps they would be safe. Morani stopped a bit away from the tree to wait for Malkia to catch up before turning back around and looking over it "Gosh darn, I can never remember where that thing is." Malkia laughed and walked in through a part of the tree "This way dear."

Aradel watched weakly, doing his best to stay still. All he wanted was to get closer to his mate. He was so worried about her, but he had to be careful lest he end up leaving her forever. "..mmm...R...Rose.." He layed down his head and just looked over at her.

Malkia stopped in the center of the tree "We're here." she said and walked over to a part of the tree where the floor was covered in leaves, laying Rose down on them. Morani followed behind her and put Aradel down "You two will be perfectly safe to heal up here." he said and sat down "This tree is completely off the map." Malkia nodded "And with the door spell, no one will be able to see us in here much less even know you two are here. So just rest." she turned around "We'll take care of them wounds too." Rose sighed and closed her eyes, she didn't care. How could she be fine after what had just happened? It hurt too much to even think about.

Aradel winced when he was put down, but forced the pain away. He was determined to comfort her. Slowly, he drug himself up next to his mate and gently drapped his arm over her. With a gentle nuzzle to her cheek he smiled warmly. "I promised you...I'd always be here. And I...intend to keep..that promise...my love..." He closed his eyes and finally passed out, though obvious he was still very alive.

Malkia went over to a flat rock that served as a table and pulled on some herbs. Morani sat down "Think they'll be alright?" he asked. Malkia sighed, putting her paw on the rock "Whatever they went through must've been tough, but they'll get through it. Hardships are a part of life we all have to overcome." she said almost half-heartedly.

((Showing his new scars from the fight)) Aradel woke sometime later, not sure what time it was, and for a moment, where he was. Memories flooded back to him, causing him to wince. His children...they were...really...he shoved the thought away and stood up. He quickly regretted that, howling in pain. A mark caught his eye and to his dismay, he realized he had gained scars. He knew right away those scars would be a reminder for the rest of his life that his own son had attacked him.
He scanned the area for his mate, then layed down next to her. At least he had stopped bleeding. He had really thought he'd die. His paw went to the side of his face where he felt yet another scar. He sighed and rested his chin on his paws. "Such a nightmare..."

Morani perked his ears up "Oh, you're finally awake eh?" he said and got up "I wouldn't move fer now either, got some strong scars on you there." Malkia was hunched over the herb table, sleeping, her paws curled by her chin. Morani walked over by Aradel and looked down at him "Judging by them scars you must've been mauled by a bear or something, huh?" he asked and sat down "Drink this." he scooted a shell filled with herb water infront of him.

Aradel looked up at the white lion and sighed, a frown forming as he remembered the details of what had brought them here. "I wish it was a bear my friend...I really wish it was." He lapped up the herb water, grimacing once at the taste. He looked up at the roof of the place they were staying in, his pain-filled eyes watering with sorrow.
"Believe it or not...our own cubs attacked us...they were born mutants and..." He went off and told Morani everything that had happened. When he finally finished, he laid his chin on his paws and sighed. "I don't know if Rose will recover..."

Morani tilted his head "You don't say?" he said and stood back up "Glad we found ya when we did." he said and looked at Rose "I'm sure she will, eventually. These things work themselves out." he said, trying to cheer him up. Malkia turned her head to the side, moving her paw off the side and knocking a corked bottle over. Rose kept her eyes closed, fighting back tears so they'd think she was still unconcious.

Aradel winced, groaning in pain as he forced himself to stand. "I promised her that I would always be there for her." He looked at the two white lions, fighting tears. "Maybe I'm not...strong enough..." He looked to his mate and limped toward the exit. Or where he figured it was. "I...I need time to think. To figure out what we do when our physical wounds heal..."
((Ok, shall we continue with this one and open a new one with Kaya and Androble, skip ahead to their births, or just continue at this pace and get to them eventually? They'll be adults rather quickly.))

(It doesn't matter to me. I'd kinda like to get to them eventually but whatever you wanna do works too.) Morani walked toward him "Woah there. Your wounds won't heal so quickly if ya open em back up again." he said, trying to reason with him "Give your body some time to catch up with your mindsetting or you won't have one left." Rose's ear twitched when she heard the sound of the bottle falling over and peered out of the corner of her eye.

((Let's do whatever you want. ^^ I'm happy either way))
Aradel hesitated, then sat down and closed his eyes. "I just...can't believe my own son and daughter...that they did this to us..."
"Does family mean nothing...? Am I a failure as a Father...? Or...were they just...evil...?"
