Rose cried out and stood on her back legs as the vines began to wither and break, flailing her front paws free and ramming her back against the wall. This was truly a nightmare.
Vivi growled as the tips of the broken vines started retreating back into her mouth. The one curled around her ear shimmered quickly before shooting up and striking the side of Aradel's neck "Release me."

"Not until you leave my mate alone! You little monster..." He growled Vivi's vine snapped at his neck. He didn't care. He would give up his life before risking Rose's.
Kailen jumped down just before his mother could fall on him, then attached himself to his father again, slashing his ears to ribbons. He purred as the blood dripped, but he snarled and latched onto a big fore leg that was holding his sister down. "Get off her!"

Vivi struggled and clinched her teeth together, the sharpend stem dripped with blood as it slowly recoiled back as well. She grunted and opened her mouth as a large, thorned vine came out and started to curl around his other leg.
Rose shook her head as she laid on the ground on her side. Her body was exhausted but she couldn't give up. It would be hard to do but she had to fight her own cubs.

Aradel growled low in his throat as his front legs were attacked. He had started to pant lightly. The attacks were very painful. But he would not give up. He stood in place holding Vivi down securly. "Rose! gah..! Run!"
Kailen bit down and dug in harder, growling viciously as he tried to get his father off of his sister. He finally moved up and attacked his father's throat, digging his claws in going for the jugular.

The thorn covered vine was thicker so all she could really do was hold her mouth, hoping not to get cut as well. She flinched, even though her body was pinned her vines could still get him.
Rose shook her head "No, I won't leave!" she said and looked at Kailen "I'm sorry." she said and ran toward him, ramming her head into him to knock him off. Tears ran down her cheeks.

He relaxed a little when his mate knocked the cub off his throat. "Thank you...*tears formed in his eyes as he looked down at who was once his sweet daughter. "Please stop this Vivi. You were such a sweet girl."
Kailen hissed as he was knocked off his father again. He glared at his mother and ran at her, grabbing her tail, climbing up to her back. "How dare you...?!" He slashed at her back with his extended claws.

Vivi glared at him, her eyes shimmered though filled with anger. She growled as the vines tightened around his leg.
Rose cringed and fell down on her stomach in pain "I can't do this anymore!" she cried out and closed her eyes "It's too much." her body screaming in agony and exhausted.

Aradel roared in pain as the vines cut into his front leg. He finally stepped off, knocking her to the back of the cave. Then he knocked his former son back there as well, pulled Rose to his back, and took off running for their lives as far away as possible. He never once looked back and kept running until he collapsed from pain. "We..lost them..Rose..." Pants heavily.
Kailen yowled in pain as he was once again thrown backwards. He landed near his sister and growled. When he recovered from the hit he looked up. "They ran Vivi. Those two aren't strong enough for us. We should go and train. Nobody will be able to stop us one day!" He hissed, then nudged his sister gently.

She slowly sat up and shook her head, her torn vines slowly slithering back in her mouth and eyesocket "They never stood a chance. We were too much for them." she said and stood up, her mouth had cuts across the sides from the thorns.
Rose laid on the ground quietly, putting her leg over her eyes. Her heart and body broken.

Aradel lay on his side, bleeding somewhat heavily from several places. he looked over at his mate weakly, barely able to move by now. "R..rose...help..stop the blood..."
"Exactly. We will train and become even stronger..." He purred, nuzzling his sister. "Let's leave this place." He spat toward where his mother and father had slept, then trotted out, leaving the area.

"Yes Brother, let's." she said, following out behind him.Rose curled up, unaltered by her mate's plee. She was too in shock to respond. A deep sounding voice came up from behind them "Oh what's this? Now this looks bad. Malkia, better have a lookee at this." A female voice then came "What is it Morani?" she asked "Oh dear. We better take them to our place."

Aradel groaned weakly, struggling to stay concious. "P..please...is my mate..ok..? She's...been quiet..." He tried to stretch his paws toward her, but the lashes the vines and the attacks from the fangs had left him a gashed mess. He kept pushing himself until he had his arms around her, then passed out from pain and blood loss. "R..Rose...just remember...I love you so much...I'll be ok...I promise.."

Morani looked at him "You just rest. You're in pretty bad shape." he said and carefully picked him up on his back "Don't you move no more."
Malkia knelt by Rose "She's fine. Just some deep cuts and bruises." she said and looked at him "But we'll have our paws full for a while. Let's get them home." she said and got Rose.
Rose clinched her eyes, tears still running down her cheeks.

Aradel couldn't even nod fully. He barely uttered an ok and a thank you before passing out. Tears dripped down his face as he remembered their babies turning dark and attacking them. He shook in pain, not by the physical wounds, but by having to fight the young cubs.

Morani looked back "You got her ok there Malkia?"
Malkia looked at him with a raised eyebrow "You know as well as I that I'm strong for my age."
He chuckled "True, true." he said, looking up "Almost there you two, hang on."
Malkia looked at Aradel on her mate's back "Whatever happened must have been unbearable." she thought and put her ears down "Don't you two worry. You're in good paws."
