After long weeks of neglect, Vincent's once vibrant enclave lay still and overgrown. Weeds had grown in abundance throughout his training area, and it seemed that part of his house had caved in...from what, nobody knows. Even the natural beauty of the nearby waterfall could do nothing to pierce the gloom of the area. But from the stillness blows a gentle wind. From the treeline bursts a glowing orb. It changes colors as it floats about, before settling in the middle of the small oasis under the waterfall. It seems to wait there, content to float a few feet above the water.

Basidia was playing in the forest at the edge of the clearing when she noticed an orb burst forth from behind her and land in the stream in the clearing. Intrigued she began to walk towards it.
“Basidia!” Daustua called “Where’d you go off to. Kail told me to watch you. He’s not going to let you come out with me anymore if you keep running off like this.” Daustua catches up to where Basidia. She recognized the place as a spot she had scouted out befre as a possible place to hide. However it had been too recently abandon for her to trust it. Someone might come back. She sees Basidia walking towards the strange glowing orb and runs over to her. “Hey where do you think your going.”
“I want to touch the pretty ball” Basidia says as she points to the orb. “Lets play catch with it.”
Daustua looks back at the strange color shifting orb. “Umm, I’m not sure if that would be a good idea.” There was something almost memorizing about the orb but she wasn’t sure if she trusted it. “Tell, you what kiddo. Let me touch it first, and if its safe I’ll let you have it. Dausta then wades into the water and places her hand on the orb to test for any reaction.

As you reach the water you are surprised that it manages to support your weight. Then you notice the almost imperceptible pulse originating from the orb. Undaunted ((I'll assume)) you move forward and reach out for the orb. When you are within a foot, the orb explodes in a flash of light and in its place are the vague, mist-like forms of Vincent and a woman you've never seen before. The two forms seem to speak to each other, but all you can make out is whispers and the occasional word or two. But, as the vision continues, the voices become louder, until you can begin to make out the conversation.
"When will this fighting ever end?" The woman asks
"Soon, my dear." Vincent answers curtly
"Is something wrong? You're being rather cold today. It's not like you." the woman steps forth and places her hands on his arm, worry evident in her pale, blue eyes.
"I don't know..." Vincent begins slowly, "Something doesn't seem right. Even the trees are acting strangely today. I need to figure out what's going on down on the front..."
"Like hell! Your job is to stay here and defend the castle! Not go gallivanting around the front! We need you here..."
"Maybe so...Still, I have to see..." The conversation is interrupted though, as another figure, covered in blood (and lacking wounds, you notice), steps into the vision. "Borus?! Are you all right? I thought you were on the front? And all this blood! Brother, what in the Spirit's name happened to you?"
The scene fades, and when it returns, Vincent is kneeling beside the woman, tears streaming from his eyes as the last of her blood flows from her body. The woman's last words are a near-silent "I love you..." before the light fades from her eyes. Vincent's blood-curdling scream sends goosebumps down your skin before his bloodshot eyes lock with yours.
"Why would you do this?!" Vincent screams at you before looking back at the women and gently closing her eyes for her, "Iris...my love...no..." Slowly, he lowers her to the ground and stands; only then do you notice his own wounds. Most of them are mortal, some less so than others, but it's obvious that he's dying. He draws an elaborate sword from his sheath, "I'll kill you..."

Daustua sees the deranged image of Vincent begin to charge her. How did it think it was her that did this? Well it did not matter. “Basidia, go hide in the forest, now!” Daustua wasn’t sure if this vision could actually hurt her but she wasn’t going to take a chance. She grows a thick shield like structure of bark from one of her arms and launches razor sharp vines from the other at the image. However this was merely a distraction. For behind the image she was summoning her ultimate attack. The very ground erupted in a thorny mass of vines and root. They flailed about wildly tearing at and destroying everything in its path. This living menagerie of nature’s fury then rushed at the image.

Several of the vines manage to score solid hits, damaging the Aspect. However, the wounds do not appear where you hit him, instead what looks like sword wounds erupt from several other locations on his body. The Aspect then shears through the rest of the vines as he charges you. His attacks come so fast it looks like you're being attacked from multiple directions, and though your bark shield block most of the damage, several of the attacks slip through to inflict a few minor blows.

(Supreme Strike is like Smash, as long as one attack gets through It still works, I just listed it as being the second attack as that's how I described it being in the post. Also pounce automatically only negates the first attack, you don't get to pick which one it negates. lol, Im not trying to be an a** these are just some of the questions on the rules I had asked Fargore before he went inactive. Anyways, the image still would have survived the round with 5 hp so I'm just going to roll with it and make my next combat post)

Daustua uses her wooden shield to repel herself off from the image and push herself back several feet. So his attacks were quite real. Daustua could feel her wounds, though they did not bleed. The ground was still alive with vines lashing about like a crazed worm poking its head out its hole. "That was some clever maneuvering, lets see if you can do it again." Again the vines all launch at the image, intent on tearing it to bits.

Into sight came flying a white dragon with two people riding on it. The dragon flew at a decent speed, but of course not as fast as Vincent could because of her age. Luljeta held Perrian and Isidar on her back. As they got close, Perrian hopped off of Luljeta's back and controlled his fall with a bit of his magic he still had that wasn't healing magic, he landed only a few feet behind Daustua. Luljeta swooped down next to Perrian and placed Isidar gently and gracefully onto her feet. Luljeta flew next to Perrian.
Perrian sighed and saw what was happening, Vincent wasn't himself and Daustua was getting attack. He exhausted some magic to refresh Luljeta of her tiredness of flying and then grabbed his dart.

Perrian got his dart out of his cloak and threw it at Vincent, hoping that it would hit. Luck was on his side today and, luckly, it hit Vincent. Only in time would the blessing help make the battle end. He, also, sent a small charge of energy towards Vincent. Vincent, slowly, felt his power zapped from him. Perrian knew this would put a damper to Vincent's plan, knowing that Vincent didn't do much other than attack and attack and attack. He threw some healing magic at Dautsua and Luljeta threw some healing magic at Perrian before he, for preventive measures, threw a rock at Vincent, which, somehow, stopped one of his attacks dead in its tracks. Perrian smirked, hoping that the battle would be ended soon and that Vincent would return to his normal self soon.

((Supreme Strike (3AP): This counts as your attack. Your attack does Attack Score times Combat Dice Score damage to one foe. Only counts for first attack. Does normal damage.
It's an attack. One of the things that I questioned FARGORE on myself. From my understanding at the time, the only way to balance such a potentially powerful attack was to make it easily stunned, i.e.-both Stunning Blow and Pounce can stop the attack. I fought that one hard. Think of it: get Vincent with the demonic sword's burnout ability and a couple wolf charms and his damage potential is catastrophic. Also, I've chosen my stun targets before (you'll have to excuse me for not remembering the exact thread, but I distinctly remember doing so). Only because some opponents will have multiple attacks on multiple people. If one of my allies would die, but the target only loses the first hit, that second ally goes down. You can choose, it just isn't really in the rules that you could...I suppose it should be. Perrian? What do you think? Either way, he's dead. Perrian's impressive rolls fixed that one.))
Having lost Vincent in the foliage around his house moments before, Perrian attacks Vincent, the dart sticking into his body for a moment before he yanks it out and throws it into the woodline. He then charges Daustua, only to find his strength sapped to nothing. The attack bounces harmlessly off of Daustua's shield, as she steps in and delivers the final blow. Though the tentacles rip through the image in several dozen locations, only one wound appears: a giant sword wound to the chest, directly through his heart. He seems to lift off the ground for a moment as his sword clatters against the surface of the water as if it had hit stone. With weakened hands he grabs the invisible blade in his chest, cold wrath almost pouring from his eyes. "Borus..." He says weakly, as the wound fills with the image of a sword, then the arm holding it, and finally the image of Vincent's brother. The image forms right where Daustua stands, then the image fades, leaving the same, glowing orb that had spawned it.
A shadow appears behind it, and as you all look up you see the real Vincent descending from higher. He lands gently on the water's surface and reaches out to the orb. As he grabs it, light coalesces around him, and his one, broken wing seems to mend itself before your very eyes. The light dissipates, and suddenly Daustua plunges into the water below her as the once solid surface disappears all at once. She's plucked out of the water by Vincent, who places her on the shore. "Thank you..." Is all he says before disappearing in a flash of lights and runic symbols, leaving you all stunned and (some more than others) confused.

((Hmm that's not how the action was explained to me before but I agree with what you have to say. For balancing issues that makes a lot of sense. As for order of attacks and stunning blows , I'll have to search for the thread, I hope it wasn't one of the questions I asked Via mail cause all that stuff got deleted, but I know I read somewhere, that stuns interrupt the first action/spell/attack cast. It takes a second stun to stop the second one. You don't get to pick which one it stops. Hmm now that I think about it I think supreme also has to automatically be my first attack too, I don't get to pick which one it is. I'll look for this stuff later. Anyways its your thread so I'll go by whatever rules you desire. Have to head to class so I'll make my rp post in a few hours. ))

No sooner had Vincent disappeared leaving Daustua stunned and rather soaked then Basidia came running back out of the forest. “Daustua what happened? Did you get the orb?” Basidia was full of her usual boundless energy. It was as if she was not aware of the seriousness of the battle that had just taken place. She bounded about Daustua until she realized that they were not alone. Seeing Perrian she shyly hid behind Daustua.
“Fraid not kiddo.” Daustua responded. “I think it belonged to Vincent anyways. I’ll find something else for you to play with. She then chuckled slightly as The little mushroom girl hid behind her. “Don’t worry, that is Perrian, He is the one who saved me from my captors.

((The ruling, I think, makes sense. Supreme strike counts as your first attack and, unless the person stunning chooses to stun a different attack/action/spell/etc, that is stunned (or at DM discretion for the specific event). An action as strong as supreme strike definately needs to be blocked easier or it would need a serious nerfing. I do think, though, that I do need to add the attacking/stunning stuff to the rules more in depth since there is tons of controversy about these rules.))
Perrian smirked and a smile came onto his face for a bit at the mention of his name and seeing Basidia hide behind Daustua. "It's nothing, just trying to help and see what is up with Vincent. He's acting odd but I guess he's not himself, least not yet. Hopefully he'll be himself soon. How are you doing, Daustua? And...whoever you are...?" Perrian said, forgetting, somehow, Basidia's name.

“Yeah I wonder If that was the part of him he was looking for he spoke of earlier. Those memories though…” Daustua shuddered as she relived what she had just saw. “I’m not sure if he needs those back. If that truly happened how did Vincent survive that? And who is Boris?” Daustua seemed lost in thought for a moment before answering perrians second question. “Oh, me? I’m doing fine I guess. I’m getting by anyways, keeping Mecha Heavy Industries off my tail. My little shy friend here is Basida. I often take her out for some exploring. Without me I don’t think she’d ever get to leave that stuffy old mansion. Don’t you want to say hi Basidia?”
Basidis stuck her face out form behind Daustua and playfully stuck his tongue out at Perrian. She then let out a shrill set of giggles before hiding back behind Daustua.

Perrian blinked and thought about what just happened, he was confused, a bit. "Well, I'm guessing Boris and Vincent knew each other very much. Maybe family related?" Perrian said and looked at Basida. He shook his head in a playful manner and turned back to Daustua. "I wonder, why is Mecha Heavy Industries still looking for you after we got you out of there? I mean, it's not like they're missing anything important."
