"(Oh well,)" he muttered, standing on all fours and shaking himself off. He vaguely wondered why Rockets would bother taking boxes, but he supposed there was something very special inside them that was essential to their plan. It didn't do to dwell on it now, he figured, and his rumbling stomach agreed. He shot a grin at his pale friend, all traces of the laughing gas-liquid gone. "(All that chaos has made me quite famished. What say you, Con? Shall we raid backpacks of the unsuspecting while they're all distracted?)" Food was good. That would make them both feel better. Well, him at least, he wasn't sure about Con.
Kazuki slid over near the group surrounding the scientists, listening in to try and figure out what had happened and why. Basil was right behind him, shoving his head onto the short trainer's shoulder and nearly causing him to topple over.

"Don't worry about it." he told her, feeling bad that he was being a bit rude to her. She hadn't done anything to deserve it. "Maybe..." he mumbled.
He was just so tired of waiting... To be so close yet at the same time be so very far away. Shaking his head, he pushed his thoughts away.
"C'mon. There's got to be something we can do to help."

"Of course we do." Piney shrugged. "But with the pace we're going at..." She trailed off, glancing at the trainers that were goofing off or looking for the wagon.
And the crystals. She had the same question that Fin asked, but she couldn't think of anything that would make them worth the Rocket's time. If they had some special power, other beings would notice. Not just the syndicate of criminals.
"Where is Luna? Or Jen?" She muttered to herself.

Well… Effie was ok. Sure, she wasn’t talking much, but at least she was up and walking about. And she was getting along with her new girafarig. That was always a good sign.
Light glittered off of something on the ground. Curious about everything shiny, Alastair picked up one of the darts used. Oh… right. Maybe it could be used as a clue. He rubbed the back of his shoulder irritably with his free hand, remembering the sting. He knew this dart though… something familiar about it. Turning it over in his fingers, he examined it carefully, memorizing every minute detail he could find.
R. Well, that was something. Alastair sighed, and wrapped the little dart up carefully in the sleeve of an extra shirt before tucking it into his pack. It might be useful sometime. Team Rocket was involved in this somewhere, he was willing to bet his dinner on it.
Team Rocket. Just perfect. He didn’t want to deal with them any more. Clearly, there was something more than fossils in them hills. Something much more. And someone out there knew about it. “Come on, Con. I know you’re worried about Ryou, but you’ll do him more good by finding the bastards that did this,” he said to his houndoom.
Alastair did his best to saunter over to the scientists, but it was oh so difficult to saunter with an injured ankle. Damn ankle… it was always getting itself injured, wasn’t it? There were others already interrogating the scientists, but they were being too soft. Far too soft. They wouldn’t get any answers like that. Turning to the trainers already interrogating the scientists, he asked, “Have they said anything yet? Anything useful?

Con looked from his best friend to his trainer. It wasn’t a question of loyalty; his loyalty belonged to Ryou, his old friend. It was merely on loan to Alastair, more or less. And food was very tempting… he hadn’t eaten today. For now, he decided, he would raid the bags with Ryou. Later, he would see what was going on outside. He nodded at Ryou’s words, before poking his nose into some of the bags left around. Alastair’s upset about something… he said, slowly digesting this idea. Alastair never got upset. Well, rarely. It was one of his finer points, really. Even when Rylee painted his room bright pink, he didn’t get this upset…
Something was going on, and Con didn’t like it one bit.

Sunnie was right! The gas was leaving her system. She sighed in relief and grabbed her sides. "Thank god that's over! My sides hurt..."
She turned towards Paix. "You're okay now too, eh buddy?" Paix crowed at her, his laughter having left him as well.

"C'mon. There's got to be something we can do to help."  Frowning, Aimi took a step back then stepped foreword and wrapped her arms around his waist, glad she was behind him so he couldn't have seen her step back. Cheek resting against his back, she smiled softly and nuzzled him. "You didn't get one again, hm?"
Her voice was quiet, an attempt to give them an intimate moment where they could talk and not have to worry about others listening in. Behind her she could hear that the wagon had been found.

"They're the only crystals in existance that emit waves of psychic energy. It enhances and encourages all forms of life. But they're so rare that only a few are foun-" The scientist fainted, an afteraffect of all the stress. The other scientist seem to have fallen over too. They lived in labs, not in the wilderness. Five pokemon appearing before them in one day, not to mention the dream eater attack, really wiped them out."

Piney gaped in surprise for a bit before turning to Alastair. She noticed that he had hurt his ankle, and bit her lip in worriment. Did they have medics here? She couldn't remember.
"Well, did you hear what the scientist said before he fainted? This mine we're going to has not only fossils that holds Pokemon that could cause destruction if revived, but there's also rare crystals that emit psychic energy. Isn't that lovely?"
She turned to Daybreak, wondering if the Espeon could feel such energy. She was a psychic Pokemon after all.
"I think we're not going to get out anything else from them though." She sighed, and went around doing some other stuff.

Fin greeted the approaching trainer half-heartedly. "We know that the caves we were headed for contain fossils and some sorts of crystals. The head scientist, one of the Rockets, is a specialist fossil resurrection, so they might be after reviving the fossils. There might also be something special about the crystals, as they're rare and only found in Sinnoh, besides here, and none of these scientists knew what was in those black boxes." She took a deep breath after rattling all that information off, and listened to what the scientist was saying.
"Psychic energy... 'Enhances and encourages all forms of life'? The Rockets are probably planning to use that on Pokémon, their own, as well as any they revive from the fossils. Great. Super-powered Pokémon controlled by Team Rocket. Just what we need. Oh—" The scientists seemed to be succumbing to exhaustion. Fin felt rather sorry for them. "What d'you reckon, should we help them back to one of the wagons?" she asked the other trainers.

He didn't even allow himself a flush at just how close she was. When had he gone back to feeling like he did back when he was a Rocket grunt? Where did he get off being whiny and selfish? He could just go and turn himself over to the Rocket leader now if he was going to revert back to who he was before he'd quit.
"Sorry." he apologized. "I'm really sorry, Aimi."
Pulling away from her, he apologized once again and took off. Where he was headed, he had no clue.

Groggy, Arin groaned and flipped over in the wagon. She had, somehow, managed to sleep the entire day. As soon as she woke up, she realized two things; first, her ankle hardly hurt anymore! Testing the waters, she wiggled her foot inside the splint and found that it didn't make it hurt anymore. She would find Liam later to see if he thought it was okay to take out.
Secondly, SHE MISSED EVERYTHING. Mentally beating herself up for it, Arin sighed and looked for another member of wagons six, laughing slightly.
"Uhm.. What exactly happened today?"

The lithe creature blinked milky eyes as he shoved his nose into a half-open bag, sniffing about for anything appetizing. "(Mmm. I think everyone is upset over this, what with being tricked and betrayed by some of the scientists. Kazuki is upset too, I gather, but he's too much of a scaredy-cat to do anything.)" His trainer's timid nature irked him sometimes, but it was also reassuring. He knew he never had to worry about the human doing anything he didn't like. Unless Luna forced him to do it, like the contest. He gave an internal shudder. "(Was it more pink and flowery than the wagon?)" He couldn't help but ask with a chuckle -- voluntary this time -- before he pulled out a bag of chips and tossed it aside. He didn't like chips, where was the good stuff?
Aha! Success! With a triumphant grin, he pulled out a tin of home-made sugar cookies, topped with a(n un)healthy coating of frosting on top. He gnawed at the tin before yanking the top off, helping himself to a few of the delicious treats. "(What do you think was in the boxes they took? They must have had something important in them, for them to take those and nothing else.)" Indeed, it was rather strange for them to take just boxes. Especially with a few legendary pokemon about, and even rarely colored pokemon, such as Con and Basil.

"E-eh?!" Feeling him pull from her hold and take off, she could feel her magenta eyes widen. Where was he going?! "Kader wait!" she cried, scrambling to rush after him. She wasn't going to let him go off, especially with out any sort of pokemon to protect him.
