Lost Prince

PostPosted: Fri Dec 23, 2005 9:08 am

"Are you always this tense, Jiko?" It seemed that the dear prince had finally decided to turn up. From where, who knows. One could never be bothered to find out - It seemed that he would always appear in the busiest of situations to avoid such questioning, not that he would care either way. His voice was taunting as if you could hear his muscles creating a wicked sneer. It was low and had the sense of entertainment in it, a nice little chuckle exited his lips mocking the other man - Jiko, that is. If you had followed the direction of the sound you would find yourself facing one of the corners of the room which was considerably darker than the rest thanks to the poor will to change the smashed lightbulbs. By squinting you could, perhaps, make out the outline of this, I would like to imagine, suede fellow. Without squinting, by scanning the figure quickly, you would admire how shiny Prince's shoes were. He polished them twice a day - thoroughly. His face remained hidden but you could see that his hair was fairly thick and short. He was wearing a tuxedo as he often would with a black umbrella hanging from his right arm.

He strolled up to Jiko into the light. He was rather tall, had dark grey eyes, an average nose, thin lips, small shoulders- Well. He was lanky, really, which you could definitely tell when he hunched back casually. Currently, though, he was standing up straight and thanks to his height he seemed fairly large. Six foot and a bit, perhaps, but short enough to be capable of easily exiting and entering through doorways. Once he reached Jiko he bent forward to look at him face to face, so close that he could feel Jiko breathing on him.
"Boo." He grinned.

Sneasel Hikaru

Sneasel pressed another button. A very bright, orange light came on above the stage. "Sorry!" She shouted, blushing a little. She pressed the button again to make it go off. She stepped away from the box, maybe someone else could handle the lighting side of things. Not her. She might just manage to blow something up.

Sneasel wandered out of the hall. She wouldn't have to rehearse until a bit later on, so she went to reception. An idea popped into her head. She grabed a big black marker from the desk, and a big sheet of paper out of the drawer and scrawled on it "PLAY-COMING SOON!" She stuck it on the front of the desk and grinned rather proudly. "That will do for now."

Prince peered to look at the girl playing with the lighting muttering to Jiko, "You might want to tell your staff to calm down." He straightened up causing his spine to make a few satisfying cracks whilst he paused briefly. He headed for the stage and simply jumped on with no effort. Slumping down right next to the supposed 'Blossom' he whispered, "You might possibly wish to brush yourself off and sit down comfortably." He smirked. "Your eyes sparkle with glory, my dear."

In the kitchen, Fresnel was busy making up a concoction. She put some clam juice in, a dash of cayenne pepper, a couple of maraschino cherries, some mayonnaise, and then some herbs unearthed from the back of a cabinet ... they looked like they'd been in there since the building was built a couple of hundred years earlier. She'd read the labels, and thought they would suffice. She sniffed the mess. It was disgusting. She dug around further, located some grenadine, just the thing to make something taste more appealing to that irritating girl, and poured in a large swig.

Satisfied, she corked the bottle, shook it vigorously, even maniacally, then took her wand, which she always carried, and chanted a spell over it. "En concoctum veritas," she droned, over and over. Then, satisfied, she cleaned up her mess, slipped the bottle into the pocket of her robe, and made her way stealthily back to the stage area, where she discovered another actor had shown up and was strutting up and down on the stage with the girl.

Blossom followed the Prince's suggestion and stood up to brush herself off before sitting in a more proper fashion. She smiled back at the Prince as she replied, "And you; you are the best thing in my life since sliced bread!" She fawned a little bit and batted her eyelashes at the Prince. Blossom was already so engrossed in the play that she had forgotten about the nasty lady who couldn't remember that Blossom's name was indeed Blossom.

"It better be unleavened." True, it was an odd thing to say, but Prince certainly was an odd person. It hardly mattered, though, his peculiar charm always allowed you to not think too much on his eccentric comments. Prince reached for Blossom's left hand, held in gently and kissed it, "You are forever my light."

Blossom blushed slightly at the kiss. "Oh dear Prince, you have pulled me from the wretched darkness of my past life. With you, I become a new person; more important. Just think of all of the wonderful time we will spend together!"

Fresnel had seen hack actors before, but the Prince was chewing up the scenery, as they say in the acting trade. Still, she was entertained. It was quite amusing, really. "The best thing since sliced bread"? This elicited a little chuckle from her that, had anybody been listening, might have been construed as scary. She was only waiting for the right moment, anyway, so she might as well relax and enjoy the show.

Prince's shine darkened as he lowered his eyebrows and gave a grim look. He was tired of the soppy conversation and hoped that a decent script just might randomly pop up, but knowing Jiko, absolutely nothing was probably prepared. "Ah, but the time we spend together may not be too long if my parents find out about this. He continued a stern wishing for an awkward silence in the scene. He wanted for things to extend long enough for him to think of something to improvise with - something he wasn't too fond of.

$-{"Now the King's General and two Soldiers rush in!" He whispered loudly from the left of the stage. "SNEASEL! And.. whoever's the Soldier/s! Get here now!"}-£

"What a lively group," thought Fresnel, sighing. She settled into a more comfortable position in her chair while Jiko tried to assemble the ragtag group of would-be actors into something resembling a cast. Just to make sure it was still there, she slipped her hand into the pocket of her robe and touched the sinister vial nestled there.

Prince raised an eyebrow, paused, then turned his head to face Jiko. He sighed, smiled and shook his head. "My dear Jiko, I heard that. Don't try it. You've attempted far too many times before." Looking startled, he stood up, pulling his damsel up with him, clutching her closely. "We must leave now."
