Remus stood directly behind her right shoulder. He felt he would be intruding if he entered first. He said nothing, but looked at the room, at least a little curious.

"This is where every Asanti places his or her memories for the sake of the future. It was something that Moneko helped each noble family create for the sake of everyone. I guess even back then she knew one day the time would come when she wasn't going to be with us anymore..." Lina said, looking at each relic her family put into this place, "My mother placed her memories in her far before her last battle, and I placed a small part of mine in here soon after she was buried..." Lina held back a sigh as she moved closer to more familiar family names.

Rikku walked catiously into the city, she knew she had been away to long. Turning down the nearest alley Rikku ran through the city to find out where Lina was.

Lina closed her eyes momentarily before stopping infront of a small area bathed in a white light. This was her mother's place in the 'Hall of Memories'. She bowed for a moment, praying silently before moving on, "It strange really. You are supposed to put your memories in here when you know you are about to die..I have a feeling I still have a long time before that, but my mother.." she trailed off, stopping at an area bath in red, "This is where I placed my memory, only one..." she knelt slightly and picked up her double-bladed staff. A red stain still marked the place where it cut into her mother and if it was touched it would still be wet.

Remus came behind her and gently laid his hand over hers, feeling the curve of the weapon she held. He didn't know why, but it felt like the right thing to do. He could feel it without invading her personal memory this way.

Lina closed her eyes before switching their hands, her own holding his lightly as she said, "There was a spell my mother did that held me contianed in a small area until she wished me to be free. You will be able to understand her bether than myself for my feelings would deafen my ears. That is the spell we need." she said, her hand glowing asred as the light now. You'll watch the memory as if you witnessed the fight. Listen closely."

Cara was nearby, hunting down her meal at the moment. She crouched low to the rooftop she was on, ready to jump down and take her prey by surprise.

A flash of red surrounded them both as the memory took over Remus. The scenery changed and the darkness of the 'hall' was replaced by the bright sun falling through the windows of room, clearly made of stone and two people facing each other, each one as tense as the other. One was Lina, in full warrior clothing and holding the double-bladed staff and ready to attack the other. It was a woman who resembled Lina quite dramatically except her her was much longer and her eyes were sky blue.
It was a standoff of sorts for Lina was breathing heavily as she watched the other who was merely standing on the other side, a sad expression crossing her face, "We don't have to do this..." the woman's voice was soft...kind.
"We do and you know that veyr well...Mother," Lina replied spitting out the last word.

Remus watched with grim fascination, knowing full well what would come of this. Had he been in hybrid form his hackles would have been raised, and his ears would be laid back in nervous tension.

The woman sighed as she looked down, a thick mist of white surrounding her as she made five hand signal each one for the four cardinal directions and the last pointed at Lina herself.
Lina took that as a sign to move quicly, and that she did. She wa salmost a blur as she zig-zagged her way towards her mother, a flash of red suddenly surrounding her body. The mist shot towards her, sending Lina flying backwards and into the nearest wall.
Her mother stayed where she was crying silently as she made th esigns once again, but this time calling the ancient names of the Ten 'gods' at that time. Lina growled, flipping back to her feet and charging once again.

Remus's heart went out to both of them and he fought not to look away. Lina's mother was to him obviously already in the pain Lina would soon find herself in.

As Lina moved towards her, she was suddenly hit a wall not even an arm's length away from her mother. She stumbled, but caught herself and slowly walked towards the barrier, touching it lightly. A flash of light blue covered the area from where Lina hit the wall and where she was now, "You coward."
"I'm trying to protect you. To make you understadn that Troden's words are what you should be listening to!" the woman looked away momentarily before slowly gazing back at her daughter, "Your path is not with him, but with the Ten. As you swore to the Second Being you would be her student-"
"I don't care about the Ten." was Lina's reply. It was cold and full of hatred, "I have other plans more worthwhile than the Ten Deserters!"

So that was it. She felt betrayed.
Remus continued to watch, careful to absorb every detail.
